Welcome Message
The Port Angeles/Sequim KOA is a destination unto itself, with loads of fun-filled activities.
The Olympic peninsula and Olympic National Park are among the most spectacular destinations in Washington, and Port Angeles/Sequim KOA is the perfect vantage from which to enjoy them. Explore forests, glaciers, hot springs, lakes, waterfalls and the Olympic Mountain Range-whose majestic peaks are visible from every part of the Port Angeles / Sequim KOA. The quaint town of Sequim is a must see with the vast Lavender Farms that have put this town on the map as the "Lavender Capital of the Country" Or maybe you dare to Venture into Vampire Territory, the place where it all took place in the Twilight Saga Novels by Stephanie Meyers.
Just across the water is our neighboring country of Canada where the beautiful city of Victoria awaits those who have passports. The Port Angeles/Sequim KOA is a destination unto itself, with loads of fun-filled activities during July and August. Campers from all over the world have labeled this to be "One of the most beautiful destinations to ever be seen." So don't hurry through. We invite you to take your time, and step out into the Beautiful Northwest, and be blessed. We thank you for checking out all policies before making reservations.

Meet Your Hosts
“We are a close, loving family with kids of our own. A family campground is what we want our KOA to be. Darren, who you will probably find behind anything that is technical, is our teenage son. Darren grew up here since he was four and knows the ins and outs of just about everything, so do not hesitate to flag him down if you see him,” says Brian.
“Our oldest, Bruce, is serving in the US Army National Guard as a Blackhawk Pilot and after serving in Iraq last year he will now be settled in the states for a few years! And our daughter Shauna just gave birth to our twin grand babies. And we are now blessed with 3 beautiful grand daughters. We couldn't be more proud of all 3 of our children!" exclaims Rochell
“Family is our most precious asset. We understand the importance of sharing time together,” says Rochell. “So whether you have kids and want to experience an exciting, fun-filled weekend with lots of activities, or the two of you want that quiet off-season get away, take some time out and explore our campground.”
You are personally invited to join us and experience the best “family park” on the Olympic Peninsula. We look forward to meeting you!
Rochell, Brian and Darren FitzGerald, Owners (On-premise)

Holiday and Theme Weekends/calendar - 2012 SEASON POSTED 5/7/2012
During the summer months we have lined up special Theme weekends. We are adding new ones every year, and try to not keep the same one for more than a few years. Check out our activity calendar to see what we have in store for you. There is always special attention given to those weekends to include activities with a flair for the theme. Keep in mind when booking that we have a minimum of 3 night stay on Memorial Day weekend, Fourth of July Weekend, Lavender Festival (3rd weekend of July) and Labor Day weekend. These are the best opportunities to elaborate on our festivities with nonstop fun. *new VISIT US ON FACEBOOK FOR UPDATED ACTIVITIES.
Hayrides as Scheduled
Hayrides, when scheduled are a camper favorite. And the traditional down home country hayride at times will be replaced with a hayride celebrating a Holiday, or maybe supporting a story teller. At times we sometimes have a sing along or play musical instruments. You may find that we request that you wear your PJ’s or a funny hat. There are even times that you will hop onboard a make believe pirate ship or a Lavender Float. But of course the most popular is when we are blessed with an early evening darkness and then it becomes a display of lights on parade. Whatever the ride may be, it’s one that the kids and parents too, like to take part in.
Night Time Movies on the Big Screen
When it’s dark enough to do so, we enjoy putting on a movie on a big screen out under the stars. Campers bring their lawn chairs and blankets and share the meadow with other campers giving it a unique experience. But up here in the Northwest it doesn’t get dark early enough till usually late August so you can look forward to that during those times. But at times we might choose to substitute the big tent to gather in. And a maybe a bag of popcorn could authenticate the mood.
A Galore of Fun Filled Activities for the Whole Family
During these months we implement a schedule of activities that will entice you and your family to get involved with something every day even when you are not splashing in the pool. This lineup of activities include some of your favorites, like bingo, craft time, poster contests, various treasure hunts, scavenger hunts, band hero, movies and so much more. And this is just a taste of what our activity schedule could have listed during your stay. So be sure that when you check in that you get a ‘activity schedule’ and take part in the fun.
Face Painting
One of the many scheduled activities that are included with your stay is Face Painting. Campers are lining up for the newest favorite. You can find Rochell and her recreation crew every weekend and sometimes even the weekdays with excited kids lining up to have their turn to be 'done up'. Now we aren't talking about just a heart or star; Rochell has been taking lessons for the last 4 years now and have come up with some pretty WOW faces. And her campers are more than happy to sit as her models. You may even find that she has done herself or other employees up from time to time as well. “I love to see the excitement on the campers when I let them look into the mirror at the completion of my creation. It’s worth every minute of my time." We schedule other activities during our painting sessions so if you have to wait it is not wasted. But it seems most like to watch the creation happening to their friends and family members while they wait their turn.
BINGO KOA style
Do you like to play Bingo? Then play it with us. Whether it be 6 campers or our record 113 campers Bingo is fun for everyone. We like to experience Bingo with a flare. Try Candy Bingo, or speed Bingo for prizes. But the camper favorite seems to be Labor Day Bingo, a must if you are with us. We play as many games as we can in an hour and tables of gifts and prizes are laid out and numbered so the winners draw their lucky number and pair it with the prize. So much fun and the prizes are great. So when you see Bingo on the schedule, take that time to play and you won’t be disappointed.
Poster Contests
Our weekly poster contest will awaken the artistic side of you. And we make sure that everyone gets something for their attempts. All posters get recognized at our ice cream social so that the confidence of being artistic and competing is another stepping stone to becoming a “Happy Camper”
Guitar/Band Hero
All ages are into being a band member and rocking out to tunes. Especially at night when the pool is closed and the evening entertainment is in the air. Show up and sign up to play or sing and be in a band. A lot of campers show up with the “no, I’m shy “attitude but after the fun begins they walk away with a “I want more” It’s great to see the whole family get up there as well. I mean have you ever been in a band with your family? There you go. Set yet another memory for the books, with a fun filled time at the big yellow tent on Guitar hero night.
Swimming in our heated pool
The heated pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day and invites you to drop on in and take a dip.
Hot Tub
The hot tub is open from May 1st through September and is the one place the adults (18 years and older) can go to get the outdoor relaxation experience. And it truly has the most beautiful view you can gaze upon as you lay back and soak up the warmth of the tub and sun.
Tie Dye Days
The color craze goes along way at our KOA. Tie Dye a shirt or two. At times we can even have an extra article to dye do too. It’s so fun to watch the color creation of tie dye. All of them unique and the smiles and ah ha moments are what we all like to capture.

Port Angeles is a city steeped in history as a logging center of the Olympic Peninsula. The whole downtown area was raised in the early 1900s and many older buildings were lost until the remains were recently discovered and are undergoing a remarkable renovation. This underground area provides an insight into the past living conditions and that includes the discovery of one of the brothels and a link to a darker side of Port Angeles.
