Spring construction notice

Ahhh, the smell of spring is in the air and Marty and the OPPA maintenance crew are still as busy as a woodpecker in a petrified forest!  We are wrapping up our major construction project this year; the building of OPPA Hall, our new covered Pavilion.  We also listened to what you campers said last year;  We have removed all of the old cottonwood trees in the upper area that gave everyone so many problems with leaves and satellite reception,  re-leveled many sites, and re-graveled the entire park with blue basalt from the Olympic Mountains.    We also have enlarged/remodeled a number of the sites in our lower park area by removing some of the old undergrowth that had encroached over past years.  So please forgive any bare spots you see this season, they were areas that have been remodeled and the grass is still in the process of growing back.

Cable TV Alert

Technology advances and cable is is no exception.  One of the projects we needed to begin this year was to start switching from our current analog cable system to a digital version.  Because of overlapping equipment requirements  we will not have cable service available  this season.  We have removed the cable icon from the amenities list on our web page this year to be sure that people looking to make reservations are aware of this.  The vast majority of you have told us that this is absolutely not an issue; that you are here for the camping, sights, and our activities.   We appreciate this and are working hard to get the new system installed, tested and operational for next season!
