General Campground Information

Tent Policy

Tents may only be pitched on sites with tent pads. If you think that you may want to pitch a tent on your site please call us at (406) 387-5341 and we will do our best to find a tent site available to accommodate you. Please note there are no cabins with tent pads.

Wi-Fi

One of the greatest attributes of the West Glacier KOA is that it is quiet and remote. We do not advertise WiFi as an amenity; however, there is WiFi available near the front office. We have placed several tables & chairs outside so you can comfortably look up information. This means there is just enough bandwidth to check email or lookup a restaurant. Please do not upload/download photos, stream audio/video, download video, watch movies online or do any online gaming. Thank you for your cooperation and enjoy your stay.

Customers that prefer to ship UPS or FED EX, we will accept your packages however we do not have a secure storage location for packages.

Campground Rules

We love having children with their bicycles. We do ask that parents supervise their young children and encourage them not to ride near the check-in area as RV traffic is the most heavy at the office. This is for their safety.

We work very hard to maintain our campground landscaping; please follow all signs and stay on the designated walk-ways.

Tents are not allowed in RV sites.

Vehicle washing is not allowed in the park

A 5mph speed limit is enforced. Please don't be upset if an employee asks you to slow down.

Tow Policy

We ask that our customers be conscientious of their departure date and time.  Violators will be towed promptly at 3 PM.  In the case a tow truck is required the customer violating their departure date will be responsible for charges.

Pet Policy

Your animal friends are welcome at the West Glacier KOA. We insist on the KOA official National Pet Policy. You may review the policy upon completion of your reservation. We ask that you not bring any pet(s) that exhibits aggressive or protective behaviors to our busy campground. We ask that you do not leave your pet(s) unattended at anytime and they are on a 6 foot lead whenever the animal is outside the owner's trailer, vehicle, cabin or motorhome. Pet(s) that incessantly bark day or night are not permitted. You are required to pick up after your animal friends. Violators of any of these policies may be asked to exit our campground. Pet(s) are not allowed in any of our general public buildings, such as pavilion, laundry room, pool area, etc.
NEW: 2015, we will be adding a $25 pet fee in our Deluxe Cabins and Tucker Lodge, where we provide linens, to cover cleaning costs. Charge is calculated per every two pets (ex. 1-2 pets=$25 charge, 3-4 pets=$50 charge, 5-6 pets=$75 charge). This one time fee will be charged at the time of registration.

Campfires

Campfires are part of camping but they can be dangerous. Please put all fires out before retiring for the evening and please follow all fire restrictions if they are in effect.

Meet Your Hosts

The McClure Family

Pay attention to the details, they matter.

The West Glacier, MT KOA is owned and operated by Greg and Theresa McClure. In 1990 Greg and Theresa purchased the property from Greg's parents, Bud and Norma, who had owned the park since 1976. The park was built in 1972.

Theresa and Greg are avid horseback riders and love to hike in Glacier National Park. Theresa and Greg have two children, Michael and Natasha. The family also has an Australian shepherd, and a cat that adopted them.

Greg has a degree from the University of Montana in Wildlife Biology and even had a short stint as a professional cowboy competing with his reining horses. Theresa is a landscaping and decor artist. She is the mastermind behind the lush vegetation and elegant landscaping.

The McClure family welcomes you and thanks you for staying with them.
