Appearance of an establishment means a lot to people. They could put a little more energy into grounds maintenance. The people running the place were nice.

If this was the first KOA I have ever been to, I would never go to another one, grass so long at site you can’t sit outside, needs to be up kept, I think the owners are to old to handle the responsibility and it says it’s a Journey, that’s a joke.

This is not your normal KOA. Tight spaces (you are literally inches from your neighbor), no water pressure, no picnic tables, no fire pits, gravel/dirt roads. Fenced dog park is literally about a 10x10 area. Location is not bad. General store had absolutely NOTHING. Bathhouse was old & nasty. Price was OK. Absolutely nothing to do inside the park. I am not kidding about it being Tight

After a long day’s drive, this campground was such a lovely retreat of trees, grass, quiet & restful. This was, in fact, our only 2 night stay on our trip home from California to Ohio & it couldn’t have been better. As it happened, we needed some supplies & Walmart was nearby…very handy. Highly recommend!!!

There seems to be many long term/campers with junky stuff piled around them. Lots of movement at night with driving by cars and people who seem to live there. Had a difficult time pulling our coach out and not hitting branches in the early morning hrs.

We stayed for just a night. The campground was well kept and really close to weatherford and lots of restaurants etc. The staff were really nice. We were close to the entrance so it was a little noisy from the interstate.

Property unkept, equipment following in disrepair. Spaces very close to each other with slides almost touching neighbor slide. Lots of permanent parties with "stuff" all around site.

One of the Best KOA’s we’ve ever stayed at! Very well kept, very clean shower house and they even have a dog wash! Very friendly staff and clean sites with great views!

Check in was quick. The site was a bit rustic but roomy. Don’t expect everything to be manicured and weed free, but they are mowed. Everything worked, but the wi-fi was slow. So slow the it makes my old Hayes dial-up modem fast. I was able to check email but I had to be patient.

We've stayed at KOAs around the country but this campground's a disappointment. We had site #3 and it was a tight spot with a large tree to our right which blocked our awning. The place is like a trailer park with odd layout and permanent residents. Seems they have a newer area with posts installed but don't know when, or if they'll start using it. Site price was low but we won't stay there again.

This property was a dump, and that is a compliment. The toilets were filthy, and the shower stall had bug nests. The roads to the restrooms were covered in snow and ice and had not been cleared. When we arrived at 3:30 pm to check in, we proceeded to our stall to find that the stall was still occupied. The response from the staff was that they “thought” they had left. KOA Corp would not approv

Overnight stay. We were in the better area of the campground but there was no fence around or any restrictions from pedestrians. The playground was sad, and there was a lot of water in various places. The showers were hot and wonderful and the hooks and benches in there we're very functional:-)

Made res on line. Got there and closed on MLK Day. No notice online. Found maintenance man who checked us in. Put us in site. Power bad our onboard energy mgmt sys showed error. Called them. Moved to another site. Power good. Watch Power, it will ruin appliances. Otherwise stayed one night and no other issues.

The place needs a lot of work to come up to be a nice KOA slandered. I have been in a lot t of Koa's when I travel across the USA , this one rate's pretty bad. My site was not level A lot of junk trailers around camp ground in the seasonal area. Office people were not trained well.

very basic campground, amenities were clean and functional, very close to busy road and interstate (+/-). a number of longer term trailers present.

People who rated this place a dump were absolutely correct. I monitored the cleaning of bathrooms that the sign says 9-10 daily. Out of 4 days we were there the toilets were skimmed over once. Rest of bathrooms like mirrors sinks etc not touched. One washer and one dryer out of order. No staff works Sundays. Don’t understand how the KOA brand is allowed at this dump.

We stayed over holidays for 18 nights in order to be in the Fort Worth area near a family member in rehab hospital. We were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful the campground was. People were very friendly- both staff and fellow campers. A lot of single night campers but also others more long term Laundry facilities small but clean and affordable. Trash area very clean. Highly recommend!

Koa signs not not lit by road no picnic tables dog park is ok could be better laundry room could use laundry soap dispenser and fab sheets pool was closed but very small in size as for campground noise very quiet entrance to campground allows anyone to enter when check in is 1/8 of a mile down road

I always request a certain space when I make our reservation. So far they have always accommodated us. We have stayed here multiple times while visiting family. This KOA is very convenient to shopping and dining. We will say again.

We have stayed at this park in the past with no issues..but this time I was very disappointed that the WiFi was very weak ..and for 2days completely down! I was told this happens a lot and nothing could be done about it.I have a business and need to use my computer. It was also Christmas week..wanted to watch parades and football. My next time in Weatherford visiting family, I will stay elsewhere

We arrived late and everything was left clearly marked. The campsite was great for our needs and was big enough for our rig and truck. There are too many numbers for the shower doors, when you gotta go! Otherwise great stay

Unlevel site; small, dirty dog yard, lots of full timers, bathroom for women didn’t stay locked. Women’s bathroom also had one toilet door hanging off sideways and taped on frame to stay on. Generally dreary all over. No cable as advertised. Won’t stay here, again. State parks are much better than this!

The place was a dump. Very disappointed that this is a KOA. I assumed they had standards that would be required Inadequate hookups with limited power. Place looks more like a junkyard that a campground.

We always stay at KOA’s when we travel and have stayed at many. This park was not like any KOA we had ever stayed at. It’s very run down and definitely not maintained. Most campers in there looked like they permanently lived there with junked up yards. The spot beside us had a very creepy van parked there, no camper, just a mildewed nasty van. It was the first I did not feel safe at a KOA.

We arrived very early on a Saturday, driving from Florida for my oldest granddaughter’s wedding. The park was very quiet and plenty full of travelers. We were given a very warm Texas friendly welcome. Park owner was extremely kind and accommodating. Thank you so very much. The Snow Birds.

We stayed over the weekend, wifi was decent, place was clean and quiet, I can tell they take care of it. Wide spaces in the pull through lots. We even had a shade tree in our yard so it helped with the 100 degree sun. No picnic tables, so bring a lawn chair or something.

Easy pull through sites, nice staff, convenient location, reasonably priced. Weatherford Texas is a nice town. We stayed there in January and again in March 2026.
