The campground and facilities are clean and well maintained. Very accessible by all the major highways. However, the location in the middle of a residential neighborhood is very inconvenient. For campers in tent as opposed to RV's or Cottage, the nearby highway and railway track (literally had trains blaring horn at 2 AM in the morning) make it impossible to get good night's sleep.

I was given either a tent spot with no sun (under a tree) or next to a very busy street. I selected under the tree. The street was non stop noice all night and it ruined a day of my vacation because I found not sleep. I am going to post this on Yelp and others to ensure people don’t end up in the same situation as me. I know you will come back and say I should have selected the other option.

Even though I called on minutes before their closing, they answered the phone and they took my reservation. The gentleman was helpful and very friendly. I was so happy to hear a friendly voice because I was so road wary. Great spacious tent sites. And the dumpster was a long way from the sites. A wonderful thing when it is so hot and dumpsters are extra stinky. I would definitely stay again.

The staff was very nice, check in was a breeze and they gave us advanced warning of the street light so we could position our tent in the best way, the pool was clean, and the option to do laundry is always appreciated.

This stay was my family’s first time in a KOA campground and camping in general. And I have to say, overall, it was a great over-night experience! Even though we arrived after-hours, there were friendly campers who made the check-in process easy. It was a convenient location after visiting Sequioa NP.

The KOA staff was wonderful to walk us thru the after-hours check-in process by phone and helped us with a convenient tent location. The location was clean and organized like other KOAs we have been to. My only recommendation would be to have a few more trees at the tent camping locations to offer more shade during hot summer months.

As you already know, you are in a terrible location with industrial noise all night long. The yard light at the end of the tent camping is too frickin bright for those staying right there which we were (f10). You did not enforce quiet hours as a group of 30 people were our neighbors. Why weren't they in a group area? Overall not a good experience.

We love how great staff always is, camp site , restrooms , pool is always kept up and clean. Cant beat the price either , we will be back this year, and already have next trip booked!

I stayed (tent camping) for 4 nights. Having a planned activity for 4 days in Hanford, about 20 minutes away, I didn't have much of a chance to enjoy the facilities at the KOA much. I was out by 8am every day and back close to midnight every night. The price of the KOA was the best feature for me, as I saved $600 by not staying at a hotel in Hanford. Negative: shower took too long to get hot.

I talked to the management just as they were getting ready to close and they processed me to stay for that night. They had my paperwork ready for me when I got there sitting where I could find it and it was all good.

Unfortunately the main reason we chose not to stay at the site once we arrived was the horrible septic smell we experienced; not sure if it was from the grounds or elsewhere in the city, but with just our tent we didn't want to be breathing that in all night. The firewood that was left for us was left on the wet ground which was going to make it hard for us to make a fire as well; so we left.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Parking for the tent sites could me better marked. Other wise a nice time and good night's sleep was had on our way to Disneyland

Staff were friendly and helpful and the place was clean. It needs some renovations. It's very dated and rundown. I could tell the employees work hard doing the best they can with what they have.

Kristin was excellent, she went out of her way to help us find shade for our tent since it was so hot! Sadly, we won't recommended this campground. The tent sites are right next to road. Unfortunately, I think due to all the industry in neighborhood, road has very loud traffic 24 hours a day. As trucks went by, you couldn't even talk to each other due to noise. We got very little sleep.

Stayed for two nights tenting with 2 young kids and it was amazing! Everything is clean well maintained. Staff are helpful and friendly. Only thing is since it is in a rather town area you will have good amount of city lights which is not in the wilderness. But in exchange it is very convenient and hybrid stay of camping and having some modern lifestyle all at once! Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay, we did two nights camping with electricity only. The park was very clean and quiet with the sites clearly marked. The staff was super friendly and informative with all our questions or concerns, since we were visiting Sequoia National Park. The facilities could use some work with the showers not working well. Other than that it was awesome.

Nice campground. We stayed in a tent. Good facilities and a great pool. Free coffee in the morning, which was great. Unfortunately at night the streets next to the campground sounded like young people used it as a race course. But otherwise we loved the stay and would recommend it.

All the facilities are excellent. The only thing is that outside on Friday and Saturday nights there are car races and it is very noisy along with the airport.

The campsite was unfortunately located right next to a busy road, traffic noise was constant throughout the night, with noticeable air pollution.I wish campsites were set up farther away from the roadside. The bathrooms had hot showers, which was honestly the best part after a long day of hiking. However, the facilities were outdated and poorly maintained, looking “Leave it to Beaver" sitcom era

I stayed at the Visalia/Sequoia National Park KOA Journey from July 2025 through October 1, 2026 and had a great experience. Compared with other RV parks I've stayed at or visited, this location offers some excellent amenities, including a swimming pool, dog park, large restroom/shower facility, and a laundry room with four washers and four dryers. The park has plenty of space, and the layout is simple and easy to navigate. The staff was one of the best parts of my experience. I had many conversations with Brian, Dale, Luis, and Megan, and they were always polite, respectful, and helpful. I never had any major issues during my stay. The park is a little more expensive than some other RV parks, but I believe the amenities and overall experience make the additional cost worth it. After staying here for more than a year, I would definitely highly recommend the Visalia KOA for both short-term travelers and long-term guests. Thank you to Visalia KOA for a great stay!
