Campground Reviews

The bathrooms were atrocious! I took pictures of 15 spiders and their webs, esp in the bathroom in the corner. And I’m all for being progressive, but having male and female bathrooms and showers. It’s just lazy. I can’t believe it’s $76 a night and these are some of the worst bathrooms I’ve ever seen and we’ve lived on the road for over three years.

Full timers looks like a homeless camp. Stray cats running around taking a crap in your camp spot. 4 washers one out of service 4 dryers all out of service. Neighborhood close by had a dog that barked all night long.

Everything was great, except the washers and dryers. They were supposed to be brand new but he were inferior to machine experiences at other parks. One washer when finished had a wad of long hair in it and we hav short hair. I checked the drum before putting my clothes in and it wasn’t in it. There were only two dryers working and one was much hotter than the other when on the same settings.

Everything is excellently organized and clean. We loved it!! But, we did our laundry and the dryers didn’t work, so we had to put everything All around our RV! It was complicated!

This KOA was OK. Nice staff - very helpful. The bathrooms were clean, but didn't lock. There was a man in the bathroom with his dog. The pool needs a good scrubbing and shock. Good location relative to the Sequoia /King's Canyon National Parks. No issues with electric hook-up, water or sewer hookup. All in all, a nice campground in need of a little extra care.

Only complaint is the WI-FI was very spotty at best.

Friendly staff, clean and well maintained campground.

Great place. They were ready for us when we arrived. Check-in took less than 5 minutes. They put me in a 30 amp spot when I prefer a 50 amp spot but that was on me. They would have given me the spot at check-in if I'd asked. Spots haven't shrunk in size like other RV spots. There is 20ft on either side. Remember, this is a "Journey site" with a lot of coming. Everyone was really nice.

Very quiet and easy access to city of Visalia and the highways. The shade trees were very helpful to help with the summer heat. The dog walk area was huge and had nice grass. There was a fenced dog area too, just not much grass.

It's was way to HOT! 108° in July. There was NO shade for us to get some relief from the sun's heat. The pool was warm so it really was refreshing. Although, the bathrooms and showers were very clean and the hosts were very pleasant

I visited this park in July when temperatures were 100+. Their electric service was not adequate and would cut off in the afternoons. The dead grass between sites was very unappealing. It appears they have not done any upgrades in some time.

We stayed in cabin 7 for 2 nights. Check in/out was smooth. The cabin was clean and cozy. However the restrooms were not very clean and the A/C in there was not working. It was well over 90 degrees in the bathrooms all the time. The floor in one of the shower stalls is rotting and will probably become a safety concern.

Friendly staff. Convenient location.

Pretty basic, simple KOA. Was SO HOT when we were there (112 one day)! Has a few trees that are on the “wrong” side of the sites in the afternoon so our trailer (and most others) had direct afternoon sun.The pool SAVED US with the heat and we met lots of friendly people. Refunded us for a day we didn’t need and there was a nice black cat (we called her Lucky) hanging around. Easy on/off free

We stayed here two nights because of the convenience to Sequoia, Kings Canyon, and Yosemite. We did have to change sites but the facilities were clean, the staff was friendly, and the campground was beautiful. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Men’s bathroom was missing showerhead and benches. Doors were propped open all night so people didn’t need their keycards.

The laundry room, toilets and pool wasn"t very clean and the campsite had a smell of dogfood. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

We rented a cabin with a half bath for one night. It was very clean, air conditioned, and perfect for a family of five.

The pool was the perfect escape from the heat. Everything was clean and quiet

It was an over night stop but very comfortable. Everyone was friendly.

Very friendly and concerned that we have shade. Quiet. Pleasant stay
Jul 17, 2023
The cabin was air conditioned, which was fabulous, and the pool was clean and well maintained. The showers and restrooms were small (combined mens/womens and only 2 stalls and 2 showers) and covered in cobwebs and spiders.

The location was perfect for what we planned to do. There wasn’t much wifi away from the building which my son wasn’t happy about. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again when going to visit the Grand Canyon!

Staff was friendly. Pool closed way too soon for hot summer evenings. Had issues with your contracted laundry machines (stack #2 driers) other campers did too. Would be nice if store stayed open through dinner time to purchase any needed items.

Very unorganized, unfriendly, located in a neighborhood which can be very loud, bathrooms are coed, housekeeping does not clean the cabins or any building on the property according to Osha standards of cleaning, and they will charge you for her to clean, landscaping is unkept, and pool in not clean. They will also charge your credit card for money that has not been explained to you.

Good enough for a stop over on the way to somewhere else :-). Staff was efficient and friendly

Restrooms are not clean

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great pool.

great wifi. If you ever wanted it, in an RV park they have it. The proprietor was kind and friendly.

Roach infestation! Tent site was simple but all we needed. After dark we lit a small campfire in the firebox provided. Very quickly we noticed the feral cats, one walking the fence line by the dumpster, another pouncing in the grass. We thought they were playing until we saw the roaches running under our feet. Constant movement. One finally crawled up my campstool, up my back.

The roaches at night are gross.

The staff was very nice and kept the grounds tidy.

The women's restroom were both untidy and in need of repair. We had to adjust our schedules to accommodate everyone showering in the travel trailer. Some members of our group would have chosen to shower in the KOA facilities as they are typically really nice. I would recommend making plans to not use the women's restroom at the KOA Visalia in you will be visiting in the near future.

great stay and wonderful camp site.

Great place. Wonderful staff

The sites were not too close together, quiet, and very convenient to visit Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Polite staff and easy to find but in an area surrounded by homes and warehouses. Grounds and facilities well maintained. The location is in Goshen about 6 miles from Visalia and 30 miles from the National Park.
Jul 06, 2023
I had never stayed at a KOA campground for the purpose of tent camping. My experience at Visalia was top notch. It was very clean. Staff were extremely helpful. Facilities were great. The showers were clean the restrooms were clean. There were no bugs or insects in the campsites. And everything that was offered was as promised on the website. I will be returning to the KOA campgrounds

We stayed 4th of Juky and saw lots of fireworks from surrounding houses. Fireworks
Jul 05, 2023
Nice location. Everything worked. Staying over July 4th was rough after more than 3 hours of consistent and loud fireworks. Woke us at 3:30 am too. No reflection on KOA but affected our stay.

Very hot weather during our stat 105 deg +. Not much shade. Other that being hot the park was well maintained, clean restroom and shower facilities. Friendly staff.

Not one of the best KOA; not one of the worst. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

Great location - easy off the freeway. All the sites have a lot of grass which was nice as we just came from an Arizona trip where there wasn't any grass!. Nice pull thru sites and the dog run was big and it also had grass. Well maintained. There is a train that was nearby and two trains went through but other than that it was very quiet.
