This KOA is very clean and the staff friendly & extremely organized. Had a very nice relaxin stay. I would not hesitate to return for a longer stay. Speed bumps would be helpful to slow down people that ignore the slow speed limit. Grateful that it wasn’t as chaotic and unorganized as the Yogi Bear Jellystone in Milton. If looking at choosing between the two, definitely choose this KOA

We were harassed our first night at 9:04pm and they requested our children be quiet. It’s the end of summer, kids are being kids and having fun with their friends. Another worker then came over a little after 9:30 and said the same thing. Honestly, I think it was the adults laughing around the fire that they heard over 10 year olds chasing each other. We will never go back to this campground.

Had a lot of activities - perfect for my 2+-year old grandson, who came to visit for the day with my daughter. The splash pad, pool, and playground were a big hit.

The manager had no problem telling our kids they were being too loud at 8:30pm on Thursday when the campground was empty (they were playing tag, not being loud at all) but when Saturday came around and there were cars driving far to fast within the campground we were told there is nothing they can do. We will not be coming back. Highly recommend Salmon Falls KOA. Very kid oriented

We are a family-oriented campground in a natural and peaceful setting. We ask guests to keep noise to a courteous level and utilize site decorations appropriate for a family audience. The speed limit is 5mph throughout the campground, and we ask guests to adhere to that policy and all others.

It was my family’s first time camping there over the weekend and we had a blast! My kids (3 and 6) loved the pool and splash pad! We even got the chance to rent boats and had fun cruising around the pond! Lots of amazing memories were made!

I was talked into giving a KOA another try as the last one was a huge disappointment! I'm glad I came to Strafford KOA! It was a great stay as the kids had plenty to do at the pool, splash Pad, Pond and Water slide! The campground was clean, personnel were very professional and knowledgeable! Will definitely be back! The staff wasn’t very helpful on some things! And you says that you are by Lake Winnipesaukee that is wrong!!!! You need to update where you are located you aren’t by Lake Winnipesaukee it was an hour away from you!!!

Hi Andy! Our location, just south of Lake Winnipesaukee and just west of the Maine coastline, offers guests the opportunity to experience much of the beauty of New Hampshire and Southern Maine. Some attractions require a short drive, but many guests find our location perfectly nestled between these.

The campground was pretty nice but the site, on Playground road site 2 was very sloped and not level! Also, it was directly across from the playground and very loud! Campers were using our site for a short cut, they walked right through our site and thought nothing of it! The site was so sloped that my automatic levelers couldn’t make it level! I expected better from a KOA! I sent an email!

Grounds are well kept and clean. Our site was very spacious. Bathrooms were always clean. Staff was incredibly friendly. Firewood was dry and burned well. Neighboring sites were respectful. A couple more scheduled events for the kiddos may have been nice. Site-lock fee is steep, and paying a resort fee when the only thing included is the pool (none of the pond activities) is questionable.

An average KOA. Worth maybe $50 a night since the hook ups worked. But paid $130, and it was terrible! Sites so poorly laid out people couldn't get into them, & not level. No place for dogs to potty inside the campgound. NOT on a lake--false advertising. This KOA is WORSE than the Northampton, MA one, which had been the worst on my list. Buyer beware--OVERPRICED!

Shelah- Thank you for your review. We don't often experience guests being unable to get into our sites, but if that happens, we are always onsite to assist. As for our furry friends, we sit on 45 beautifully wooded acres and even have a dog park onsite. We only ask that you pick up after your pet!

The place need better cleaning ,when I got to my site I had to clean other dogs pot .my site smell terrible. Other then that all staff were very nice in polite .

Too many golf carts and too fast. Too many over head trees , the sap got all over everything and hard to off of vehicles.

Paid extra for water view but the water view that you see online and the actual water view when you get there is very different, my water view was look thru the woods over the yurts. Prices are too high for this campground, place is a money pit with a charge for everything, I have stayed in other beautiful KOA property’s across the nation for half as much. This KOA was a one time trip for me.

Our site was very nice, Staff was very attentive to us when we were having a hard time leveling our camper! I thought this was on the lake, like it says on this KOA. Strafford Lake Winnipesaukee South. But overall we had a nice time.

Spots are not big rig friendly. We got our brand new class A all scratched up because sites were very awkward. Dusty roads and lots of holes in them. When it rained the mud was horrendous. Wi fi is advertised, it is a hot spot, not "wi fi" not strong at all.

Nice, small campground. Staff members were friendly. The kids enjoyed the activities, pool, and pond. The pond was much smaller than expected. Activities included karaoke, candy bingo, tie dye, movies, and dodgeball. Our biggest complaint was the flies. They were awful at our site which one was road behind the playground. You couldn't even sit at the site during the day due to the flies.

We were placed close to the playground, the cable would not work for us in the RV even though the host service found no fault in the cable service. The showers were HUGE! Overall it was a nice place to spend the night.

Not bad but too many young children operating golf carts and just riding around. I thought you had to be a certain age to operate golf carts. I only saw one adult working at campground, it looked like all very young kids running campground and nothing was explained to us at checkin. Also roads need attention in park and especially entrance with dropoff from main road and potholes need filling in.

Fantastic! Well let’s put campground with generous site sizing and well placed trees that made sites feel very private and great shade. Price was a good value, and there were great amenities. Pool was huge, lake was always busy with boats and fishers and the playground was amazing. easily in my top 3 KOAs of all time. If I ever make it this far north again, would absolutely stay here.

We spent several days here at the end of September. Lovely site, very quiet (especially during the week). Incredibly friendly and helpful staff (including Caleb, Jay, Marvin, and Haley). Quick walk from our site to very clean bathrooms, easily accessible showers. I think you may be closer to the Seacoast than Lake Winnie but that's less relevant. This is a great spot for just relaxing if you're trying to escape the rest of the world for a while. (FYI, Door Dash delivered some Pizza Hut from Rochester. We met them at the front gate, but it definitely saves a ride into Rochester.)

This KOA is ideally situated and offers a variety of accommodations. The grounds are clean and well-appointed. There is a pool, playground, basketball courts and a pond. Paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes are available for a fee and in good condition. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it very much. It was located within driving distance of Maine, Vermont, and Massachusetts. We would have spent more time exploring and relaxing at the KOA if not for our travel itinerary. I recommend this place to anyone traveling through the Granite State. Check it out!
