Resolve to Camp More: Part 3

Resolve to Camp More: Part 3

Every year millions of people resolve to get their life on track. Are you one of them?

Amongst the most common New Year’s Resolutions in the U.S. is a resolve to “Adult” better. This could mean you want to stop procrastinating, manage your money better, or maybe you want to finally get organized.

This is the third of our three-part series on how Strafford/ Lake Winnipesaukee South KOA can help you live your best life. Over the past two weeks, we've discussed how committing to camp more in 2021 can help you live healthier and happier lives. And, you guessed it, this week we are going to discuss all the ways we can make it more convenient and more economical to do just that.

Part 3: Resolve to Get Your Life Together

Resolve to Camp More

I know, I know, how does camping help me get my life in order? Maybe you’re on your own when it comes to organizing your junk drawer, but we can definitely help you plan your summer, save you money and help you get a jump on your to-do list.

Let me lay it out for you. When you book your vacation at Strafford KOA you are undertaking a  3 pronged approach to resolution greatness.

You are planning ahead. We all know that planning is more than half the battle when it comes to feeling like you’ve got your stuff together. I’ve been listening to the podcast by productivity and organization guru, Lisa Woodruff of Organize 365, and one piece of information that struck a chord was that “for every minute you spend planning you save 4 to 5 minutes in executing your plan.” And, when you are planning something as expansive as the next year of your life having definitive events already in place makes the process that much easier.

I can hear the neighbors now, “You’ve already planned your summer getaway? Look at you getting your stuff together! Wait, all the activities for your vacation are already planned (by a professional!)? You rock!”

You are being financially responsible. The average cost of a vacation for a family of 4 is $4,580 according to spendmenot.com. Yeah, that certainly doesn’t align with getting the budget under control. What if I told you that you could camp with us in a rental RV with up to six people for less than $200 a night. Planning ahead and booking in the offseason can lock in the lowest rates of the year.  There you go sticking to your budget.

Want to procrastinate less? Start now. According to psychology today some of the best ways to kick procrastination to the curb are to make a plan and focus on the reason why completing the task is important. There is no way to better focus on your why than across a campfire.

Turns out that a commitment to camp more in 2021 is another healthy step on the road to being a more productive adult.
