We spent a few days here and out of all the KOAs on this month long trip this was by far the best. There were planned activities everyday such as, tie dyeing, smores gathering, bingo and more. There is a nice pool and plenty of games for the kids. Bike rentals too. The showers were clean. The gift shop/camp store had so much to offer. We were set up right by the river and had amazing views.

This KOA is fantastic! Super friendly and helpful staff. Tons of activities for the kids. I wish the sites were a liiiiittle further apart from each other, but I get it. Love this campground, will definitely be back!

I was unable to place tent stakes in the gravel. The tent sites are way over priced. I stayed at the KOA verses another campground because I needed a safe environment. The spray used to clean the bathroom and cabins stinks. It reminds me of being at a cheap hotel where the smell is suppose to cover the lack of cleanliness.The public places were very clean.

Lots to do if you want, quiet at night, nice camping by the river. Not expecting a lot of space, but it was well-run, monitored, and friendly/knowledgable staff.

Beautiful camping grounds. Clean facilities and very easy to check in and out. Kind staff and very well kept grpunds in general. Plenty of amenities for families and kids. I will definitely be visiting again!

O my,what a wonderful place. Lovely place,and the bus service at the park to downtown. You can get stumbling drunk down town and ride the bus back to park!

All staff was very friendly and inviting. I had difficulty with small tent stakes on the tent pad and wanted to purchase larger ones. Since it was the end of the season non were available! The staff kindly helped with large nails from the maintenance shed that made my stay much dryer and more comfortable! Everyone so nice and helpful

Overall, a pleasant stay. The only thing we weren’t crazy about ( we were tent camping) was the very loud car sounds that went right by our site around 5:30am in the morning. It woke us up for the day and would have appreciated a bit more of a rustic feeling than one in a parking lot. That being said, we probably should have looked more at the location of our site.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the facilities were clean and as expected. The shuttle bus right at the campground is very convenient, but if you are in the area to explore the town of Steamboat you will find the campground is just a bit out of the way.

The Yampa River flows through the campground. It was beautiful. Fishing and swimming are both available. The bad thing about this KOA were the extremely offensive led lights that came on at night. If we wanted to be blasted with harsh lights we would have camped in a Wal Mart parking lot. Golden light is what they need, not the crazy bright, white lights. A very loud leaf blower woke us up also.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay over Labor Day weekend. Such a fun place for kids and families! We brought our dogs too. We did tent camping and the proximity to all the activities/amenities made it easy for my kid to make friends and roam while I could see/hear her. Recommendations for improvement: work on creating privacy between tent spaces & create a common access to river beach.

Very warm and friendly staff, but I felt it was over priced and I wouldn’t recommend or plan to stay at another KOA anytime soon. I only needed a tent site for one night with a bathroom and shower. For about $30 more I could have gone a basic motel room.

Facilities were maintained well. One thing I wish there was is a footbridge that is separate from the bridge that vehicles drive on to get across the Yampa River. Definitely would like to return, regardless. Hopefully for a longer stay next time.

The location of this KOA is so convenient. It’s on the Yampa so you can tube back to your campsite from the downtown, there’s a free bus that takes you to the downtown, and you’re only a 25 min drive to Strawberry Hot Springs. The staff are so friendly and kind. The only thing I would change is locking up the mini golf at night so that kids can’t bang their balls against the metal at midni

Traveling through Steamboat Springs as part of the route for the COBDR off road Motorcycle experience. Staff was very friendly and quite helpful as we were traveling with a group of 14 motorcycles and each with there own tent to set up. I would highly recommend this location for RV's and or tent campers.

I was disappointed in the amount of noice around the campground in the evening. I tried to go to bed at 9pm which was after quiet hours but the campground was still very loud. Having a movie night start at 9pm after quiet hours isn't the best idea!

Staff was very friendly. Not a lot of space between tent sites, but I suppose that is pretty standard. Setting was beautiful along the river.

Tent spot was cleaned when I arrived. Enjoyed being on the river. Employees were pleasant. The bathrooms and shower room was not cleaned regularly. Toilet seat covers were empty. Close proximity to town and was nice to have the bus for back and forth. Had stayed in other campgrounds this Summer that were top notch. Spaces were very close together.

I'm sure I'm not the first to tell you this, but you are wildly overpriced. The things that matter (clean bathrooms) were not attended to, while you focused on activity sessions and driving people around to their campsites. Both bathrooms that we used were disgusting the entire time we were there. For $200 a night, I could stay in a hotel. You should be cleaning those at least hourly for the $$

Location and facilities were up to Par. More help in the office needed. Huge concern was the safety of young unsupervised children riding bikes among cars trucks and around big rigs. The rental trikes were the worst. So close to the ground hard to see. Even driving 5 mph I was fearful as sometimes a bike was right in front of me going around a curve. The bridge is especially dangerous with bikers

The one thing I did not like was the ladies bathroom, /there was always a lot of water on the floor seemed like you could easily slip and fall.

Overall the stay was nice. The first impression we had wasn't great. When our friends checked in first, they were told we could drive right to them and they were given our car pass. When we attempted to do that, another staff member approached in a golf cart and yelled at us that we had to check in first. It was just confusing and we didn't understand why we were being yelled at.

So clean and very organized! The staff was the best especially Sandy at the check-in counter. She provided tons of info for winter camping options and other helpful hints on booking sites. Liked that we were escorted to camp sites. The pool was clean, didn't use, fun stuff for kids. Loved the free shuttle to Steamboat. Will definitely be back!

Packed in like sardines. Bathrooms gross and backed up morning and night. Minimal night lighting. Very dangerous narrow bridge for pedestrian and vehicle traffic.

The tent site was great, but the bathrooms were not up to KOA standards. The floor in the womens’ bathroom was always covered in dirty water and trash.

We have visited most of the KOAs in our area but this was by far our best experience. We loved our tent site by the river. We loved all the activities. The only issue we had was with the “free shuttle.” We waited and waited and it didn’t come. We ended up driving into town instead.

We stayed at the preimum campsites which were the closest Ive ever camped next to strangers and most expensive campsite Ive ever seen. No shade as per pictured. Seems the quiet hours only apply to staff members as Harley motorcycles revved back and forth through the campground starting at 5am just to go to the bathroom and back.
