We couldn’t be happier with the treatment we received from everyone at the KOA. We had frozen fuel lines and a dead battery due to -27 temps. The owner, Bob, went out and bought jumper cables so he could jump us. He also brought us a tarp with a heater to heat the engine so we could start our van, JD gave us an extra heater he had, and Shannon figured out a way to extend our stay. 10 stars!

It was everything promised. They had record breaking snow and the Kia was plowed and I was able to get my truck camper in ok. Bathrooms were reasonably clean and the free bus to town stops at the camp so that’s super convenient.

They had a water issue, which is to be expected when it's freezing and negative temperatures. However, they got it taken care of and it was a minor inconvenience.

This was a nice KOA to stay at. Clean bathrooms and laundry room, well maintained grounds and friendly staff. Close to town and ski area.

Facilities were very clean and warm! (A huge benefit in the winter!) The roads on the property and the spaces were well plowed even with the very heavy snowfall they had the evening we were there.

We booked very last minute and Shannon in the office was amazing and beyond helpful and kind helping get us settled and making sure we had the information we needed for a lovely stay!

Great, except for the brown water coming from the hookup. Don't know if it was caused by rust or other, but it was smelly too... Otherwise: clean facilities, and set up on the Yampa so with beautiful views.

Wonderful stay in the winter time!! So convenient for skiing and accessing the town. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean restrooms and showers.

Staff was friendly, property seems well maintained but bathrooms could use update. Many seasonal tenants Put a heavy strain on the bathrooms and showers, would probably warrant considering opening a second option if available.

I definitely like the location however I would not recommend winter stays here. The site was not cleared wide enough so we spent a solid hour trying to get it where we could put our steps down. On the way out the entrance had been cleared but not the road in so there was a drop off that broke one of my campers leaf spring going down it. The entrance/exit should be a priority in my opinion.

Big sites, clean and warm bathrooms, hot water! The roads were plowed daily within the campground. The camp hosts were super nice! I loved it here.

We really likes this campground. We had a good amount of privacy and it wasn't a long walk from anywhere to the showers. It looks like it would be a great place to stay in the summer.

Warm and clean bathrooms - we stayed in the winter with about 2-1/2 feet of snow for a Hockey Tournament - with electric only. Roads were plowed. Will stay again!

Only spent the night and took off early. Great accommodations and easy to navigate sites with assistance from office after hours packet was perfect

Wonderful place to winter camp but bring your xtra warm blanket in the winter. It's down by the river. Got to -19. Host and staff are great! Bathrooms clean.

This has become our favorite place to stay. Restrooms/Showers always clean (& warm on those cold days). Gives us a place to stay in our favorite ski area without killing our budget. Cough “Hot Tub” cough Thanks for all you do!

Steamboat reported 40” snow in 24 hrs. We were there to ski so that was a good thing. Minimum $500 to stay two nights anywhere in town. $150 at Koa for a back-in spot for our pickup camper. Sub-zero overnight temps were no problem since we had access to the heated bathrooms with showers, and the site had a heated waterline. The snowbanks made the site very narrow but otherwise was great.

I was impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. It snowed many inches while we were camping but the staff kept up with the plowing. Always clean facilities as well.

Our site was way too expensive, $100 per nite for a 21 ft travel trailer just becuz we wanted water in October!!

The front desk was friendly and courteous upon arrival. The low rating is because of the no refund policy. We checked in a day earlier than scheduled. We tried to check out a day early to avoid the snow storm however we were refused a refund. When asked for credit we were refused again. Sorry. I don’t plan to stay there in the future.

Staff is friendly and helpful. Grounds are well kept. The only 2 negatives are: ---office closes too early (5pm) and often someone needs items from store. And no nearby quickie store. --the communal dishwashing area is often filthy! It is left with junk in drain, yuck in sink. I suggest a nice sign that reminds people that it is a shared space and to leave it clean. Otherwise all good!

Wonderful people. Exceptional campground. The Steamboat Transit stop is awesome. My only complaint is the US 40 road noise.

I enjoyed the location and the grounds as well. I felt the restrooms were not cleaned often enough. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Lastly, the coffee in the Kamp store in the morning was so watered down, it was not to be considered coffee.

KOA Staff were very accommodating when my RV had to be worked on, the Ladies in the office switched my stay to a great tent sites by the Yampa River. Very sweet spot with lots of shade trees. RR were very clean, as was the main shower house. Staff were very friendly and communicating with me about the rising river, which was spilling over its banks. They worked hard to keep the grounds safe for the guests as the river cresting was expected to be much higher my last night there. Thank You to ALL KOA Staff, you're Wonderful People !

I've camped all over the country. This is a great spot… tons of activities for kids. The river is great for fishing and can be seen pretty much throughout the whole campground. The deluxe sites are legit, with a brand new Weber and clean patio + chairs and table. Definitely be back…
