The manager Laurie needs a attitude adjustment towards customers the tone she had with me was completely unacceptable! I put in complaints to Koa management! Her attitude with me was because they cant seem to be able to measure the length of the parking spots! I have never been treated so poorly or rudely by a manager who is supposed to be helpful!

Because we didn’t want to pay for a premium location, we were close to the highway and associated noise. We love the dark, but there were so many bright lights in the Kampground, I think there could be an option of insuring the lights point down, not out, which could be helpful. The staff was extremely helpful when it came time to dump or black and grey water tanks.

Enjoyed the stay, however they need to post that they are setting up for the winter where it is noticeable on the reservation page not down in the contract text. They need to alert their customer as water and tables are important. The trailer next to us was as suprised as we were that the water was turned off and the table was gone.

Liked that it was at the end of the Bus Route making it easy to get into town. Bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly. Liked that they allowed us to downgrade to a tent site for our Camper van.

Staff did not remind campers that water had been turned off. No fire rings or picnic tables provided. When checking about upgrade they only offered highest priced deluxe sites and did not offer other options. Later found out were mid range sites available with water.

I was disappointed that there were no fire rings and that all the picnic tables had been removed for the winter. I saw no evidence that fire rings were ever on the premises, despite being told by a worker that they too had been stored for the winter. Irrespective, picnic tables and camp fires ARE a basic part of camping. Highway noise is significant. A city bus stops at the campground. (the good)

Great facilities and great staff! My only complaint is that it’s quite loud as it sits right by Hwy 40.

A great stay. Would have been five stars but for the missing fire pits, tables, and amenities. I can't imagine that packing up for the winter season requires so long that you can't wait until substantial snow is actually in the forecast.

It’s one of the more expensive KOAs and yet has some of the least friendly workers. They took all the picnic tables and fire pits away. Within walking distance and wouldn’t let us have one. Even if we got it our selves. It’s like they said no just to say no. And we went fall break. So there was no reason they couldn’t have left a few sites set up, especially for the price. wouldn’t recom

Very nice place and staff. Dump station needs leveling to remove standing water next to sewer pipe area. If visiting again I will get a site that includes a sewer hookup.

Very friendly staff. They helped us a couple of times. It is a nice KOA with the Yampa river running right through it. I eve did a little fishing which was nice. The kids loved it as well.

The maintenance for the grounds were not kept up. There was leaves packed on the ground with no attempts to rake the sites. We would track in leaves into our camper every time we enter it. It was also too close to the street, lots of traffic sounds.

Overall, KOA Steamboat Springs is a very nice campground. Many employees around to help keep the campground running efficiently and smoothly. The only downside to the campground is the number of washing machines available - only 4 - for such a large place. To add to the downside, during my stay, 2 out of 4 washing machines were inoperable. Not a good thing to happen when park is quite full.

Service was excellent and accommodating. However , The sites were way too close together and the fire pits were on top of each other. There was no privacy. We were pretty much on top of each other. It was uncomfortable. Other than that, it was in a good location and service was great and we had no issues with hook ups.

If a campground is turning off water for the season it should be well noted, especially when I am choosing a site with WATER and electric and PAYING more for it.Not even when we registered was it mentioned. We completely setup in our site and went to turn it on did we know, and our trailer’s water tank was empty. No compensation offered! AND fees for pets should show up in the online invoice!

Majority of park has spaces that aren't level, & don't have sewer hookups. Space I was in had sewer that was inaccessible & I had to pull into an empty space to empty my tank as did several other campers. The "island" is the only area in great condition. The outdoor area to gather as a group was hot & had NO shade! Inexpensive to add sunshades. No recycle bins-REALLY? Only large dumpsters.
