They extrat charged me for 2 dogs per day and charged me extrat 25 $ because I left at 11h40 instead of 11h. Plus the average night on the app was 63$ per night for two night and when I got there it cost me 175$ and she said that it was normal that the app just gives you an average but it not correct ..... and when I try to talk to them they just say sorry but that is KOA policy!...

Stayed here for a month in April, 2025. Location is amazing - the bus comes every 8 minutes right to the campground. Staff is incredible and the store well stocked. Recommend staying on the island (across the bridge) for nice views of the river, concrete pads and an overall nicer camping experience.

I stayed the entire winter season 2025. The facilities were always clean. The store is well stocked. The staff was helpful. It was a great experience

There is not enough space between camp sites. Our neighbors threw trash on the ground, did not keep dogs on leash, and did not pick up dog pop. This made the stay far less enjoyable than it could have been. Otherwise, the amenities were ok. We might stay there again.

The staff is awesome! The location is terrific and access to the bus line is the secret sauce. The internet speeds are terrible except early in the morning. Need to upgrade signal transmission!

We did enjoy our stay at Steamboat Springs KOA. All the plans we made were convenient to the area. For safety reasons with approaching weather, we did need to depart a day early. Just a little disappointed that no refund could be compensated, or even a credit to KOA rewards, since it was before 10:00am that we departed a full day early. Policies and procedures sometimes need an adjustment.

Closure of women’s bathroom made scheduling the day’s activities very difficult. Some ignored posted times causing uncomfortable situations.

Have stayed a few times and never had an issue, but at our site (54) the wifi signal was strong but no internet at all. It worked better if I took my ipad to the bathroom to download a movie, but even still was pretty slow.

Great stay while skiing in Steamboat Springs.. So convenient with the shuttle stop right there to get to the mountain and downtown. Love the warm showers! Wifi was good as well..

Women bathrooms were out of service. This created a shared scheduled use for men’s restrooms and had to use a portapotti in very cold weather. Was not advised of this until we checked in and was offered no discount for the inconvenience.

The women's bathroom is being repaired. Great...but an email before arriving would have been greatly appreciated, and a discount should have been offered. So, the men's bathroom is now co-ed. A time sheet was given to us. Very laughable because people did not follow the timesheet. In terms of safety, I think it was dangerous to have men and women using the showers after hours. I did not feel safe

Usually, we have a great stay at KO us. However, we had a pretty frustrating experience this last time. It was not communicated to us before we booked that the women's bathroom is closed for renovations. We wouldn't have spent the money we did to stay had we known that I was going to have to use the men's bathroom. It was too busy and also awkward for me as a woman to shower around men.

Closed women’s bathroom was a problem. Not acceptable solution. Somebody was in our spot the first night so we had to park in a roadway.

Was bummed to learn we had to use a portable toilet because they were working on the women’s bathroom. Just like every other campground there is no notification before you arrive. So there was nothing exceptional about our stay based on that. I’m glad to hear they are finally updating the women’s bathroom though.

The check in process where you leave your car at the stop sign instead of parking wasn't intuitive. One of the employee's seemed to have an attitude when I asked them where to park. All that's visible is a stop sign that says something to the effect of, "stop, and check in before driving through the camping lot" doesn't seem obvious that I should leave my car in the lane where traffic could be.

We only stayed one night, and we love the proximity to downtown Steamboat. The facilities (showers, restrooms) are clean and there was plenty of room to throw the ball for our yellow lab.

This is the second time I've stayed at steamboat KOA and again I am impressed at the level of customer service and how close it is to steamboat. I will be staying here again.

Originally called to make reservations. Never got a return call from me. People I dropped in on a whim. Followed the directions filled out the swift state and campsite 16. You charge me $88 for that site. Then the next night still never got a phone call from you guys needed. A site stopped by picked out a slip. State and camp number 15. We had another great visit to steamboat and koa. Only negative was the bathroom code changed while we were gone for the day. We were not made aware of the change or the new code. Thankfully a new neighbor pulled in and shared it with us. Our camper does not have a bathroom we can use in the winter, so to not have that new code would have been less than ideal. Overall, the stay was great

1. The person who works at the front desk with multiple facial piercings who was not only unhelpful, but also incredibly rude. This is simply unacceptable for any kind of hospitality business. 2. After staying for 3 nights at $80 each, the above person berated us for doing laundry at noon after we checked out- this seems absurd 3. I stayed in an RV spot for the month of January 2025. The KOA Steamboat is well organized and well run. The maintenance crew do a great job. The bathhouse is clean and functioning despite the arctic blast -30F temperatures. The front office staff is super helpful on all topics. Thanks Again!

The dog park was so extremely small, it was crazy. You should notify customers the size of the dog park. The laundry costs should be clear, not what the lowest is for a light soiled setting. The fee for an extra car is ridiculous. We had to use our own space, so it was not like the car was in KOA's way at all.

We found the staff to be great. Bathrooms were well cared for and warm enough to shower in The road ways were in good shape and safe to move around in. We were here to ski and it was great having the bus shuttle to town and the ski area. We did use the outside dish washing station and it worked fine. It would be nice if you could figure out how to enclose that area for winter use. Thank you.

My first time at this KOA. When I arrived to check in the girl was in the phone. I waited about 15 minutes. While I was waiting a man came in behind me waiting as well. When she got off the phone she immediately helped him for 10 minutes ignoring me! This guy was checking in as well. Why did she ignore me. Why not tell the rude man that I was clearly first! Excellent base camp for ski adventures. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were very clean and warm. Showers were also warm with good pressure. We will definitely stay here again on our next ski trip to Steamboat.

I believe that if a KOA is designated a "Holiday" it should stand above a normal KOA and this one does not. The management is very nice and the location is good but there really is nothing special about this KOA. Overall this is an average campground but considering there are no others in Steamboat in winter a blessing.

This was our first camping experience camping with our new 5th wheel RV. The staff was fantastic with helping out. The bathrooms were clean. The bus service from the city was great for getting around Steamboat Springs. If we go back to Steamboat we will definitely use the campground again.
