Very nice little campground. Very nicely maintained with super friendly staff. I would’ve rated higher but it is very noisy. There’s an industrial site next door that works late grinding metal. Someone else likes to rev their Harley over and over again late at night. I don’t think koa folks can do much about it though : (

Very nice people running the campground (A+). Just not the greatest place. More of an industrial area. Looks more like a gravel parking lot that was turned into a campground.

The Staff was extremely knowledgeable and cordial. Campground was quiet. Bathroom & Showers were immaculate. Tremendously enjoyed my stay…I definitely will recommend and return.

Great little spot! Only needed a plot for my tent while in town for the evening for a play. The grounds were tidy, restroom/shower warm and clean, and staff friendly and welcoming! Amber is fabulous 10/10 will absolutely return

Other than the race track it was a peaceful spot to sleep after driving all day. Races ended at 10 so no big deal

The location is great with easy access to St Louis' attractions. Electric and water for every tent & RV. Rest rooms, laundry and store are perfect. Just remember your ear plugs because late night tains toot three long, load blasts before a nearby unguarded crossing.

I wish I could say good but when we pulled in there was garbage over flowing the dumpster. Only a few parking pads for way more tent sites. When we left the next morning stopped in the store and were not even greeted and no coffee available.

Came in after hours and was left a map marked to find my site! Very relieved to have a KOA that I can go to halfway thru my trip! Not far from gas stations.

Easy to find. Great host. Well maintained. Pool and washroom was the best. Only thing I felt is the non availability of firepit. Else everything is great

We were glad that we had the use of a covering at our tent camp site because there were severe thunderstorms while we were there. The staff made us feel very welcome. The pool was very refreshing when it wasn’t raining. They locked it during the thunderstorms for safety reasons.

We rolled in and we spent the night. The reservation system was easy and I made it about five hours earlier before our arrival. The bathrooms were very clean and supplied well. We only spent the night but everything was just fine. I would stay here again if I were coming this way no problem.

Not in a good area. Surrounded by industrial sites and next to train tracks (although that didn't bother me too much). No fire pits (only charcoal grills). Just basically a parking lot for RV.s

We stayed here for 2 nights in order to be close to downtown St. Louis attractions. Less than a 20 minute drive to downtown. The bathrooms were very clean and the grass was cut. We stayed in a tent.

Grass was tall, pool was black and looked like the place needed a lot of work

Yes you are right the grass was tall due to a lot of rain which makes it impossible to mow the grass. As far as the pool it was just uncovered to get it ready for the season. It does not open until May 24th.

Pros: clean, pleasant staff, no problems with any other campers. Walmart 7 minutes away. Cons: no locks to enter the bathrooms/showers. This did worry me because the campground is by an industrial area and the neighborhood in general wasn’t the best. stayed two nights. did not use the pool or laundry. As a Journey, it was fine. Would stay again if coded locks installed on bathroom doors.

This is one of the best koa’s we have stayed at. The couple that checked us in were great! Will definitely be back.

Arrived late and the instructions were waiting right where they should be. Camground was pleasant and the bathrooms were very clean. For anyone unfamiliar with this location, it is situated in an industrial area of town. We could hear trains at night. I was a little concerned as we drove to the campground because I wasn't sure what I was going to find. But it turned out to be a nice place.

It's was okay. The staff wasn't unfriendly. We were kinda left to our own devices to pick a campsite which was new for us at a KOA. The women's bathroom, the feminine hygiene receptacles were all over filled and never emptied. Pool was very nice. Playgrounds, one was too big for our kids to play on and the other was way too hot being in direct sunlight. Jumping pillow was never filled.

We tented. The grass was extremely long and the mosquitos were over baring. The tent site areas were also very wet, many with standing water and mud. Even though we could pick our own site, many were unusable. I would not tent there again.

My husband, children and I all have many bites on our ankles and feet from our tent site. I am very glad we only stayed one night. This is not the quality I expect from KOA. I hope this is remedied. In the meantime, I'll let people know to look for another campsite.

I understand that no one can control the weather - thunderstorms happen. But I do think there are things that can be done with drainage and grading. We are tent camping and when we arrived virtually all of the tent sites were too waterlogged to camp in. We picked the dry driest spot and did our best to keep the tent clean. But by the second night we were wading through water to get into the tent.

The campground is beautiful and very close to STL which was convenient. The staff was super friendly just wish the mosquitoes were just as nice. Pool area was open and very clean but not too much seating around the pool. This was a nice stay for 1 night and a well kept Journey KOA. It is in an industrial area but you wouldn't know that once you're in the campsite. It was a good value for the cost.

All of the employees were super nice and the pool and bathroom were nice and super clean. I loved the pavilions offered for the camp site.

We stayed for one night. Loved this place and the hospitality of the people over there. But..But except for the BUGS and MOSQUITOES. Sitting outside for a single minute, both day and night, with a mosquito bite was very painful. Came back home with at least 10 bite marks and itchiness for a week. They should take care of this very seriously.

Happy with the campground and bathrooms. We were a late arrival and instructions were laid out and very easy to follow. Enjoyed our brief stay and will return again

This was a rustic and rundown site. I understand we were tenting out of season (October), but there wasn't anything nice about the place except perhaps the young man who checked us in. The shower head had no hot water and shot out at the curtain and my clothes. The outside washing sink was filled with tree debris. Trash from the next site was still there. The location was ok; the site was not

Location was perfect to bike ride into town, bike the chain of rocks bridge and watch the sunset on the banks of the Mississippi!

Very helpful staff. There are trains that go by periodically and blow their horns at least four times during each passing, so if you're staying in a tent bring earplugs.

I can't rate the rooms as we had our own camper. This campground had friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers, a refreshing pool after a hot day spent outside and our kids loved the jump pad. Very close to the city but safe (don't let google maps make you think otherwise). Close to train tracks but wasn't to loud for us. We'd stay again if in the area.

Looking for a RV site close to the attractions in St Louis, found this park wasn't to sure about it after reading the previous reviews but we pulled in without a reservation. Desk crew was very helpful and was in a site in just a few minutes. Good gravel interior roads full hookups, cabins and tent sites also. Park is located in an industrial area but once you are in the park you wouldn't know it. Pool, propane, laundry closes at 6pm, clean bathrooms with showers. 10 miles from the Arch 4 miles from Chain of Rocks bridge. Like all KOAs it's a little bit pricey but definitely the best park we found close to town. Seems safe easy in and out WiFi worked great would have given 5 stars if the laundry was open later. First post is from 2024 Stayed again in 2026 WiFi is slower and laundry is now open 9-5. They have done some work on the sites that's a plus
