Would of rated a 5 but the hot water pressure is very low.

Place is very unkept. Looks rundown. Thought office was closed on arrival. Very dark inside. In an industrial area. Probably the worst KOA I have ever stayed in. Recommend you either close it or remove the KOA franchise from the campground.

The staff is very welcoming and friendly.

Ok for one night or two no more price to high wifi good but cable no good not friendly cable system you cannot use unless you have a new tv 2020 and newer They should support all tv with cable not the case and staff does not care.

Nice and clean place but did not feel secure, no fencing could walk 60 ft to the open roadway. No coded locks on the shower rooms.

The best KOA we've stayed at. A lot of activities for kids and adults alike. So so happy there is an on site saloon with fabulous food and drinks. They also have a little ice cream shop. The RV Spaces are very nice and large. Best of all we got to see fireflies in the open field at night.

Problems with cable. Would not show picture or sound. Restrooms were very nice.

Trop de chiens bruyants à toute heure. Entretien extérieur défaillant. Par ailleurs très bon guide écrit offert à l’arrivee.
May 24, 2023
Very poor location, campgrounds in rough shape, noisy with train and road traffic.

We stayed at the campground for 3 nights. The campground was nice and clean, including the bathrooms. The campground was quiet. There were several campers that came and went over the three days but that was to be expected. The playground and jump pad were nice and we saw kids playing in the area while we were there. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit St Louis!
May 23, 2023
Needs work but it seemed they were trying to bring it up to KOA standards.
May 23, 2023
Very convenient to downtown and to the nearby Louis and Clark historic sites. Everything was fine except the water pressure dropped a lot for some reason about halfway through our stay.
May 23, 2023
They do have clean restrooms. Was disheartened to be charged an early check in fee.
May 22, 2023
Advertise they have propane, but they don’t. We were out. They gave me a phone number to call, but I do not have a phone. They made a call without success. They suggested another place and again gave me a phone number. Again I said I had no phone. It was late so we stayed the one night and canceled our booking for the second night. Glad we did. Campground not well maintained.
May 22, 2023
Way too expensive for the place. Not well maintained, looks trashy. Great for stop thru, but not at that price. I've paid less at much nicer locations.
May 21, 2023
Good park, pet area was adequate. Nice place for an overnight stay.
May 21, 2023
Nice people at check in. Sites are level and long enough. Electric etc all work as expected. Overall camp is "tired" with various clusters of junk hidden behind old fences. Entry is tight. Dog parks are small but it is in a good quiet location that is very convenient for over nights.

This is a great location away from the busy parts near St Louis on the Illinois side. Close to some historical sites like the starting point of Lewis and Clark and the Cahokia Mounds. Close to the Argosy casino in Alton, IL.

This is a wonderful place to stay. It's like a hidden man cave.. Last week my power went out and they let me stay an extra day to get it fixed. THANK YOU.

Abi (sp?) and Ciara (sp?) were very friendly !!
May 17, 2023
The site was quiet and relaxing. The grounds were kept up and bathrooms clean. I would go back again.

It was a quiet little campground located perfectly for our needs. We were in town for our daughter’s college graduation and had a camp site and two cabins and gathered at our campsite often. Nothing fancy but met all our needs and with it being KOA weekend, it was cheaper than getting hotels.

Great overnight stay clean campground and nice nature trail

We enjoyed our stay very much. We especially enjoyed the entire camp staff as they were all friendly and cordial. We will be back again.

Sites were neglected. Sparse gravel. The whole place was not up to par. On this trip, we stayed at other parks that were also not how they were pictured, but just wanted an overnight stay and their cost was $40. For this stop, I chose it because it was on our route and because it was KOA, so expected it to be nice like other KOAs at a cost of $62.

Only stayed for one night but it was a nice place to stop for the night
May 14, 2023
Very nice except for weak wifi. Unusable.

Nice CG once you can find it behind the parking yards. Small but sufficient for a 3-4 day stay while enjoying the surrounding areas.

We have been to noth St. Louis area KOAs. Both are fine but we prefer the Granite City one when our trip will allow a choice.
May 09, 2023
Need better signage. Price on the high side for what is there.
May 08, 2023
Sites REALLY close.
May 07, 2023
The staff is belligerent, hostile, rude, aggressive, & makes up rules on the fly. My experience seems to mirror other 1 star Google reviews spanning many years so its evident they don't care. I won't be back. I would have left immediately after our interaction but my work schedule made that impractical. The full story is on google, this review limits characters.

The staff was very pleasant and informative. The KOA is in need of some building improvements and updates.

Bien situé, sanitaire et douche dans la moyenne, internet trés faible.
May 06, 2023
A perfect spot for us to stay overnight as we travelled to the Grand Canyon!
May 06, 2023
Not sure why we were put in the very back on small spot at end and very close to camper next to us, but it was quiet and we slept well. Grassy spot and if your hookups are in back you will need long hose and electric cord and cable for that spot.
May 06, 2023
The campground was ok. However, it took me over an hour to find the camp ground. Your campground totally deficient in signage to direct you to the camp ground from the nearest highway intersection. No signs at the intersection, and the sign at Dial Road is too far from Chain of Rocks Road to be illuminated by headlights travelling on Chain of Rocks road. Please, more signs on highway 270.

The worst KOA ever. Dirty, unkept, and in disrepair. Pass it by.

Looking for a RV site close to the attractions in St Louis, found this park wasn't to sure about it after reading the previous reviews but we pulled in without a reservation. Desk crew was very helpful and was in a site in just a few minutes. Good gravel interior roads full hookups, cabins and tent sites also. Park is located in an industrial area but once you are in the park you wouldn't know it. Pool, propane, laundry closes at 6pm, clean bathrooms with showers. 10 miles from the Arch 4 miles from Chain of Rocks bridge. Like all KOAs it's a little bit pricey but definitely the best park we found close to town. Seems safe easy in and out WiFi worked great would have given 5 stars if the laundry was open later.
