Very nice but very wet. Wonderful staff!! Very noisy from trucks backing up next door and trains passing by. Nice showers and bathrooms.

We were looking to visit The Arch National Park at St. Louis and this was the perfect place to stay! Thank you for having a place for us to stay!!

Only stayed one night, nice campsite. There is a train horn in middle of night so be sure and bring a sound machine.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you, that is a great idea.

Well maintained it was just opening for season very friendly staff the sites are nice size level no noise from surrounding businesses definitely would stay there again a very nice smaller campground once they are opened for awhile I'm sure it would be a 5

Only planned for an over night stay while traveling. We found the staff friendly and informative about the area and our site was adequate for our needs. This KOA is located in an industrial area but don’t let that deter your stay; it’s quiet, secluded and feels safe once within the camp.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Had a site that when it rained the steps from motorhome would have water all over, had to go ask for plywood or pallet to get in and out.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for stopping by. It sure did rain a lot. I hope that pallet helped .

There was a lot of noise due to the industrialized area it was nestled in ( semi, large trucks, busses and train). The upkeep of the cabins, fencing, storage sheds, etc. are in need of restoration. We were very warmly welcomed by a friendly staff tho and the showers were pretty clean and powerful. It was our first KOA experience and were a bit shocked to find it in the middle of trucking yards!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So glad to hear that you liked he bathrooms. We do work hard to keep them clean and neat. Our office staff is very accommodating and pleasant, thank you for the compliment.

We stayed twice--on our way on Rt 66 and our journey back taking I-70. The campground is conveniently located near an interstate to take you into St.Louis, and near the Chain of Rocks Bridge, a Rt 66 icon. Its' in a sort of industrial area, but it was fine for our purposes. Clean showers. sewer connection not threaded, bring a weight and/or a rubber gasket to connect.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you liked our showers. We all work hard to meet the needs of our campers. Thanks!

Great stay. Only complaint was noise from nearby race track.

Very nice campground. I would rate the bathrooms the best!! They were clean and very nice. We will definitely stay here again!

The two ladies that greeted me and checked me in, were very polite and informative. This was not my first stay at this kampground. Look forward to staying in the future.

We've been in over 20 KOA campgrounds this trip. This one just seems worn out. Sites are extremely narrow. The water spicket and sewer connection were only a couple feet from our door.
Oct 29, 2025
The area was rough. The race track ran until 10:30 and there were 4 large explosions during the night. The bath house was very nice.

Great place! Good for dogs, grass, trees. Good spacing between sites. The bathrooms are clean, well maintained and spacious. Wicked awesome showers.

Great little spot! Only needed a plot for my tent while in town for the evening for a play. The grounds were tidy, restroom/shower warm and clean, and staff friendly and welcoming! Amber is fabulous 10/10 will absolutely return

we stayed only for one night so we did not use any of the amenities. We found the park okay for just this purpose. What we did not really like was the level of "noise" - seemed to be a lot of car movement at all times, even through the night which seemed unusual. Also a railroad nearby that ran through the night as well. Busy location. did not get a very restful night. okay for just a quick stop.

Other than the race track it was a peaceful spot to sleep after driving all day. Races ended at 10 so no big deal

The people in the office were very informative, polite and helpful. The campground itself is nothing special for a koa. However it felt safe.

Super friendly and helpful staff. We had a trailer issue shortly after leaving and they let us borrow the tools we needed to get things fixed and get back on the road. The staff went above & beyond and we are very grateful.

An oasis in the middle of an industrial park. Quiet, clean and easily accessible. Staff was great to deal with and very helpful. Thank you.

I have a very tall motorhome in the trees were not trimmed very well. Spaces were a little tight for a class a with a tow vehicle. The lady running the desk not super friendly

The WiFi was non existent. Our site was right next to the office. The location is good for going to St Louis, state capitols and such. Accidental find of Churchill museum near Fulton. Great stop. Restrooms clean. Staff. Ice.

With the heavy rain that fell wasn't able to look at the grounds. The staff was friendly

The location is great with easy access to St Louis' attractions. Electric and water for every tent & RV. Rest rooms, laundry and store are perfect. Just remember your ear plugs because late night tains toot three long, load blasts before a nearby unguarded crossing.
Oct 16, 2025
Was shocked that the campground was surrounded by trains & a truck terminal. The cost of our spot was totally out of line with we received. While having full hook-up is wonderful, we didn't have enough water pressure for showers. Why would you offer laundry if you need to out by 4:30 pm? We didn't have time available during the day - we were on vacation.

It would be better if they had firepits

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Yes a campfire is fun. All of our tent and cabins have grills that you can use to make a fire. Thanks for stopping by.

Very friendly staff and great location for all of the activities that we did in St Louis.

Thanks for staying with us. Hope you enjoyed your trip.

The staff at this KOA were extremely helpful and courteous. This campground was well groomed but the campsites were very tight for a large toy hauler like ours. While it is well maintained it needs updating and a fence needs to be put around the entire campground. This KOA is located in a very industrial area and not the best area of Granite City. Again it was well groomed and the staff helpful.

In an industrial area with too much noise and road traffic. Most of the spaces were long term residential campers. The sites were very unlevel and tight for larger units to get into or out of.

Very helpful staff. There are trains that go by periodically and blow their horns at least four times during each passing, so if you're staying in a tent bring earplugs.

I can't rate the rooms as we had our own camper. This campground had friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers, a refreshing pool after a hot day spent outside and our kids loved the jump pad. Very close to the city but safe (don't let google maps make you think otherwise). Close to train tracks but wasn't to loud for us. We'd stay again if in the area.

Looking for a RV site close to the attractions in St Louis, found this park wasn't to sure about it after reading the previous reviews but we pulled in without a reservation. Desk crew was very helpful and was in a site in just a few minutes. Good gravel interior roads full hookups, cabins and tent sites also. Park is located in an industrial area but once you are in the park you wouldn't know it. Pool, propane, laundry closes at 6pm, clean bathrooms with showers. 10 miles from the Arch 4 miles from Chain of Rocks bridge. Like all KOAs it's a little bit pricey but definitely the best park we found close to town. Seems safe easy in and out WiFi worked great would have given 5 stars if the laundry was open later. First post is from 2024 Stayed again in 2026 WiFi is slower and laundry is now open 9-5. They have done some work on the sites that's a plus
