Campground Reviews

The water faucet knob would not turn without a wrench. It loosened up a little with repeated turning, but not enough to forego the wrench. The sewer connection was blocked, and seems to have overflowed overnight, as there was toilet paper around it in the morning when I went to dump my tanks before leaving. I had to dump at the unmarked sewer hole near the office as I was leaving.

Great shade trees. The spaces are a bit close but luckily neighbors were quiet. They told me at the front desk there was WiFi but did not write the password on my check in sheet. I was unable to access it as both accesses required a password and the office was closed. Very quiet night except an occasional train rumbling through which was not disturbing.

Nice park...no cable but WiFi. Only stayed one night. Rested well except for a pop up pull behind drives up gunning the truck right next to us in our Vantana. We had gone to bed & woke me up. When we left in the morning before 7am ,& no one next to us. Other than that we rested well before our last leg home to KCMO.

Extremely small sites with next sites sewer line and electrical box right out our front door. Unable to sit outside.Employees were very friendly. Would be tolerable for 1 or 2 night stay only d/t location on rt 66. We payed for 5 nights and lost pay for 2 night d/t leaving early for an emergency. Wish we could have those 2 nights as pending available sites at a different KOA location on rt 66

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Dear camper our records show that you were given a refund for the last 2 nights of your stay. We would ask that you please consider revisiting the score of 4 you gave us as 7 is the required. You are correct in stating we are an overnight campground not set up for longer stays (aka a Journey KOA).

Friendly and helpful staff. Easy access to and from the Gateway Arch NP. A quiet RV park. Reasonably priced. Clean laundry facility.

We were greeted by very friendly staff and really enjoyed our stay

Very nice little campground. Very nicely maintained with super friendly staff. I would’ve rated higher but it is very noisy. There’s an industrial site next door that works late grinding metal. Someone else likes to rev their Harley over and over again late at night. I don’t think koa folks can do much about it though : (

Nice, clean, friendly

Nice place and people

Park was very nice with easy pull through sites. However we had thunderstorms come through while staying and the park was virtually underwater. I will stay there again but will pay close attention to the weather.

No trash pick-up. Unfriendly welcome--barking orders about the hours of use of campground laundry that we don't even need (we have our own washer/dryer). WIFI worked well for us, but I was warned at registration that it might not. Called desk for password, and I was again treated rudely and answered like I was stupid because I did not know there was no password.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So sorry you thought we were barking orders. The intent is to inform you of information you may need, where the bathrooms are, office and laundry hours, the Wi-Fi network name. Hope the site was more to your liking than the last camp you told us about. So glad to hear the WIFI worked well for you

Perfect location to tour the Saint Louis area.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you had a good visit. Come on back and checkout sights that you may have missed.

Very nice people running the campground (A+). Just not the greatest place. More of an industrial area. Looks more like a gravel parking lot that was turned into a campground.
May 18, 2026
Costomer service was Not good. Our site was super wet and muddy. There were other sites around us that were not wet and empty. We arrived after ours and there was no one to call.
May 17, 2026
Staff wasn’t very friendly and most sped around on golf carts kicking up dust all day. With the park being so small, it seemed unnecessary and created a dust cloud every time they passed. One employee used a zero turn mower extremely close to our RV (and in our space while we were there). The mower was kicking up large gravel and fortunately, my RV or people were not hit. We will not return

Nice quiet and clean park. Just need to clean the pool for sure.
May 16, 2026
The people were great and very friendly. This is handy to the interstate and was good for our motor home. A little tight between spaces but we had not issues at all.

Easy location. Was a bit concerned about it being in an industrial area but it was very quiet. Very clean park area and rest rooms! Great staff!!

Small site. Electric worked well.

The staff is always nice and willing to help with any problems. The park is always clean and very well maintained.

Very clean, nice staff. Handy location for visiting St Louis.
May 11, 2026
A little difficult to find, but it’s a nice well maintained campground. Level gravel sites. Close to the local attractions. Friendly and helpful staff.
May 11, 2026
Everyone was kind and courteous. They take you right to your designated area and give you a nice brochure with highlights of the area.
May 11, 2026
Laundry room hours not conducive to travelers and it is a Journey park. Poor tv reception. Loud and dusty due to being surrounded by industries. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We accidentally went to the WRONG KOA here in St.Louis, We were tired from driving and it was poring rain. The Wrong KOA gave the Right KOA a call and told them our situation and they were AMAZING !!! They let us stay there and did NOT charge us a fee for Our Mistake. Thank You Ladies of KOA for working this out for Us ! This is why we are a KOA Gold Member

I guess it depends on what bothers you. The people were very nice there but there’s a trifecta of bad news. At least there was for us. We’re elderly and don’t like a lot of noise. This KOA is right off the interstate, trains go right by the campgrounds and the airport is close by. Sorry, but we didn’t get much sleep. If noise doesn’t bother you, then this place is perfect.

We stayed 2 nights. This campground is a great location for visiting St. Louis especially if you are heading East after your visit. Easy drive into downtown and to see the Arch. The campground is literally tucked back into what appears to be an industrial area but is comfortable and quiet. Nearby trains were not a problem. Sites are level and hookups worked fine. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a smaller camp ground but a great place to stay overnight. The staff was very nice and accommodating, They do have all the amenities you would want. We don’t have a need to use their bathrooms so I’m not sure how they were. It does have a train that runs through at night and early morning. Not a big deal but you do hear it. Over all nice place.

Laundry hours are not convenient for traveling.
May 02, 2026
It was clean and well kept. We just spent the night and left. Did not use any amenities.
May 02, 2026
We stayed 2 nights in 30 ft. travel trailer. Sites are gravel and pretty level. Close together, but enough room for our needs. Located in a light industrial area with no place to walk any distance. All the utilities conveniently located and worked as expected. Staff was pleasant. Easy to get to the Gateway Arch, which is why we chose this location.

Great for overnight stays. Otherwise very lacking in services

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We are basically an overnight camp although people will stay a couple of nights to visit the city. We are branded as a Journey. There are KOA camps that are branded as Holiday and Resorts. Those branded as Holiday and Resorts do have activities. Journeys do not general have activities. Thanks

Employees are very nice. Sites are level and clean. But the people who use the dog park need to pick up after their pets. It wasn't just one or two, it was lots that we picked up so our dog wouldn't step in it.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

So sorry for the doggie mess. We don't want to charge a pet fee, but things like that make us consider it. I don't see happening though. Glad everything else was good for you. Thanks for stopping by
Apr 24, 2026
Even though located in an industrial area, once you pull into the campground it is peaceful. We had an enjoyable 5 night stay.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hope to see you again. It was great hosting you.
Apr 22, 2026
They could use some power washing and a lot of the places to upgrade the appearance but overall a pretty darn good park.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hope to see you again. we are working on tidying up things. That's always a bit harder in the early spring. Come and see us again.
Apr 22, 2026
Nice, well-maintained campground. Definitely would stay here again.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks so much. We are doing our best to keep everything neat and tidy. Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Very helpful staff. There are trains that go by periodically and blow their horns at least four times during each passing, so if you're staying in a tent bring earplugs.

I can't rate the rooms as we had our own camper. This campground had friendly staff, clean bathrooms and showers, a refreshing pool after a hot day spent outside and our kids loved the jump pad. Very close to the city but safe (don't let google maps make you think otherwise). Close to train tracks but wasn't to loud for us. We'd stay again if in the area.

Looking for a RV site close to the attractions in St Louis, found this park wasn't to sure about it after reading the previous reviews but we pulled in without a reservation. Desk crew was very helpful and was in a site in just a few minutes. Good gravel interior roads full hookups, cabins and tent sites also. Park is located in an industrial area but once you are in the park you wouldn't know it. Pool, propane, laundry closes at 6pm, clean bathrooms with showers. 10 miles from the Arch 4 miles from Chain of Rocks bridge. Like all KOAs it's a little bit pricey but definitely the best park we found close to town. Seems safe easy in and out WiFi worked great would have given 5 stars if the laundry was open later. First post is from 2024 Stayed again in 2026 WiFi is slower and laundry is now open 9-5. They have done some work on the sites that's a plus
