This is a great location, and the staff was very friendly. The site we stayed on had a great view of the lake; however, the site was not very level.

They need to do something about the ants!!!!!!! We only stayed one night and our motorhome had ants everywhere inside. Will never come back!!! Ialled and told them about it and they said they would have the manager call me. NO CALL!!!

We stayed here a year ago and the bathroom/ shower house was closed for remodeling. We stayed there again on our trip back home and the same bathroom was still closed for remodeling, why put us near the closed building when there were many empty sites near a bath house. Also, power was lost from 7:50 pm until after midnight, it was a couple hours later before staff came around to advise status.

Thanks to all (especially Ann) for taking care of us! Moved us to a better site for the extra length with towed boat and still managed to get our pizza despite arriving shortly before office closure. Always a pleasure at Santee!

The staff was nice. I wish that campers would adhere to keeping their dogs on a leash. There were 2 dog fights while we were there and we personally witnessed others not cleaning up after their dogs. This was a very serious issue. More needs to be done here. We had to call the front office about the bathhouse not being cleaned, there was plugged toilets and no toilet paper in most of the stall

Staff was great and helpful. Pizza was great and hot when delivered. So, good after a long day of driving. The park is showing its age and needs improvements and that is the reason for the 3

We arrived at 2 pm and was greeted by the friendly and professional staff. Check-in went smoothly and we were escorted to our site. Nice level dirt site with a view of the lake. It was a quiet four nights stay, and not a lot of campers during this visit. This was not our first time staying here and look forward to a return trip.

Really beautiful location on the lake and nice people. Many of the sites are very hilly and there doesn't appear to be any attempt to level the areas. I can see how famlies would enjoy the area, with lots to do. Personally, we will probably look elsewhere. They were just dirt RV pads and so undeveloped. I can't imagine if we got rain while there.

We had a great stay and have already made reservations to return. Everyone is super nice and helpful. They have someone to lead you to your campsite, which I think is great! The campsites for motor homes and trailers are pull through. All sites are shaded. Something for everyone to do. Check them out.

While traveling from Vermont to Florida, we found this KOA on an app and decided to give it a try. It was close to the highway, yet also had nice huge trees and a lake. I’m glad we stopped here!

We stayed one night and did not unhook, was a wonderful surprise to be able to sit by the lake and get some beautiful sunset pictures. The staff was really great and thanks Ami for assisting us to the campsite. We were able to have a pizza and wings ordered right at campground (that was nice!) Did not use bathhouse as was being remodeled, did not get a chance to use pool looked inviting.

Our third time staying there. Great overnight stop, clean bathrooms and hot showers. The pool �‍��� is also nice and the pizza � was very good too.

This KOA was just lovely. Yes it’s a older camp ground. But it’s beautiful with the trees w/ the Spanish moss hanging from them. To the very quiet camp grounds. The other campers were great. Didn’t check out the lake this time. It was just to HOT ��� We will make this KOA one of our favorites Just 2 hrs away from us. The Staff was very helpful both checking in & out.

Very unlevel surface. ANTS everywhere and got into our camper by climbing electrical line. Not alot of upkeep going on

Stayed 5 nights. Pool looked nice. Sites could use some maintenance. Ours was level but most of the gravel is gone. Sites get a bit mucky in the rain.

Campground is in big need of maintenance. For a campground the size and stature, being a Journey KOA, I and many others would expect better. Start with purchasing gravel, or better yet, start pouring cement pads like most other campgrounds have already done. How about giving the campground next door a run for its money??

The sites are nice and big. Lakefront is a plus. The campgrounds do need some tlc. The maintenance needs to step it up. It could be much cleaner and updated

This was our third time visiting this camp site, it's so nice and relaxing. Everytime we visit we were the only blacks there but the people there are soooo nice and friendly to us. Everyone spoke and held conversations...We will be back soon for another getaway trip soon!
