Located 1 mile east of Cedar Point Drive on U.S. Route 6 (Cleveland Road). PLEASE READ BELOW FOR THE BEST ROUTE.
Coming on the Ohio turnpike or from the west, Route 2: exit onto Route 250 North (Sandusky). Make a right on Perkins Ave(1mile) Turn left on to Remington Ave (1/2 mile) Turn Right onto Cleveland Rd/Route 6 (700yards) Turn left onto E Shoreway Dr (200ft) Make a Right into our campground (Look for the KOA sign and arrow pointing RIGHT) ~ATTENTION~ THIS WAY TAKES YOU THROUGH THE ENTIRE TOWN OF SANDUSKY, THIS CAN BE VERY CONFUSING....BELOW IS THE BEST ROUTE TO GET TO OUR CAMPGROUND
Coming from the east on Route 2: exit at Rye Beach Road. Make a left onto Route 6/Cleveland Rd. Follow Route 6 west for about 4.5 miles. We are located on the right-hand side of Route 6, just past Kasper Buick car lot. Turn Right onto E Shoreway Dr (200ft) Make a Right into our campground (Look for the KOA sign and arrow pointing RIGHT!!!). THIS IS THE BEST ROUTE TO AVOID TRAFFIC AND CITY TRAFFIC LIGHTS.

Located along Sandusky Bay, Sandusky, Ohio, is an ideal location to experience a variety of water excursions. Travel across the river on one of the many ferries or take a scenic cruise to view the town in a whole new way. Here are some of the top boat excursion options.
Miller Ferries is the only Sandusky, Ohio, ferry for passenger and vehicle transportation to Put-in-Bay and Middle Bass Island in Lake Erie. The ferry ride to Put-in-Bay is about 18 minutes. Once you arrive at Put-in-Bay, you will find rental options for bicycles and golf carts in addition to taxi and bus services.
For those taking the ferry to Middle Bass Island, you will have a 40-minute ride. This Lake Erie island is affectionately known as the “Relaxing Island for Active People.” It has many things to enjoy, such as the Lonz Winery and state park, a beach for kayaking and swimming and many local restaurants.
The Kelleys Island Ferry provides trips between Kelleys Island and Marblehead. The 20-minute ride offers views of Cedar Point, many Lake Erie Islands, Put-in-Bay and the Marblehead Lighthouse. Rides are available every hour, and the passage from Kelley's Island to Marblehead is about 20 minutes.
If you're feeling the need for speed, Jet Express is a high-speed passenger ferry that offers transportation from Sandusky and Port Clinton to Cedar Point, downtown Kelleys Island and Put-in-Bay. As you ride, you will be in stylish and comfortable cabins and open-air sundecks to feel the wind in your hair as you cruise. Additionally, passengers can enjoy a late-night ferry service for a fun way to take in the nightlife.
For a more relaxing boat excursion, try a paddle-wheel tour to view the historic and scenic Vermillion River. The Mystic Belle is a flat-bottomed river barge, and guests can partake in a one-hour cruise as they take in the beauty of their natural surroundings and picturesque lagoons. Enjoy the narration about the harbor and its history during your ride for a truly unique boating experience.
