Check in was easy, lady was friendly, grounds are clean, site A-1 is slopped in a way that makes it hard for large RV's to hook up to waste drain and drain effectively.

The Mount Shivano KOA is perfect for the setting and location. It has all the amenities that any camper or RVer would want, yet it is simple and not pretentious.

This campground has dramatically improved over the last few years! It was clean and well cared for. The staff was friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Good location for exploring the area. We will stay here again.

An electric breaker kicked. It was too bright to see the green lights on the box so we thought we it was our camper. After 2 trips to holiday rv we realized it was the campground. That’s never happened to us so it was a little annoying

We stayed in a deluxe cabin. It was very nice, clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Tim the campground host was awesome! He let me borrow a shovel when I needed to dig out the wet soil in my fire pit from dousing the fire the night before. I didn't mention it to him but the men's room needs attention. There are spiders and the main drain line under the sinks needs to be snaked. Other than that the place was awesome.

I was not at all impressed with the lack of amenities at this campground. With that said, the bathrooms were clean but not particularly well constructed and the price was not as high as some other KOA campgrounds that have more amenities. The site we were on (a tent site) was not level at all. This made sleeping pretty uncomfortable. So unfortunately I cannot say I would stay here again/refer.

The staff is amazing. Super friendly, accommodating, helpful and love their jobs. Love the grounds, we walked our dogs multiple times, always clean.

The people who work at the campgrounds are absolutely fantastic literally some of the best people I've ever dealt with business or otherwise they deserve all the props in the kudos for making that place fantastic 10 out of 10 will stay again

Facility is a rather new KOA and still needs a little time for the landscaping come into its own. The site sits in easy travel to many mountain trails for every level of hiking.

Landscaping and terracing is beautiful but does add a challenge on making turns. Overall the campground is very nice!

Nice site and the stay was good. Would recommend and stay again. Enjoyed Salida and the recommendation of the Steakhouse "Quincy's" was enjoyable.

This KOA doesn't get enough credit. It's a beautiful clean campground. The sites are nicely situated so you don't feel like you're right on top of your neighbors. WiFi is next to nonexistent but you are in a valley in the mountains, I had 3-4 bars and 5G most of the time so no issues streaming. Only issue was 2 of the 3 showers in the women's bathroom was out of order.

A basic campground that works as a base for us to explore the area. This was our 3rd stay, and we'd use it again. They were working to repair ruts in the roads from monsoons. Site was level. Water pressure was 22 psi, so low. Internet, new Starlink, was abysmal, even with few people in the campground, some of whom had their own. Used my hotspot instead. Bathrooms & showers need repair & updating.

There are many good things about this campground. First, location, second, good sites and utilities. However, two things need improvement. First the wifi is terrible. It was hard to get a connection that would last for an extended period. Second, while the bathrooms have improved under KOA, there needs to be a remodeling and upgrade.

Your location is wonderful. The grounds are clean and neat. The WiFi is awful and the bathrooms are not clean The private residence is awful with the barking dogs and loud music

The staff was incredible! We had some misfortunes with moving. They always made sure we had a spot until we were finally able to move into our home. The views are beautiful and the creek at the back of the campground is a fun surprise. Very close to town too for those that like to go out and near lot's of trails.

Friendly staff, like the fenced dog park. Some of the spaces are a bit tight especially with the rocks so for larger set ups it creates a bit of a challenge but it's manageable. Beautiful location.

Great location for a campground. Not many other options close to Monarch Pass for larger RV's, however probably the worst condition KOA we have ever stayed at. Needs basic upkeep and repair of things. Light bulbs burned out, shower curtains torn, toilet out of service, fire pits not cleaned out, etc. Location trumped disrepair and upkeep so we would certainly stay again but knowing what to expect.

the facility was pretty run down and lacked normal upkeep- everything needed painting light bulbs burned out, toilets and showers out of order. The whole place had an appearance of neglect. We were quite surprised since we have stayed at KOAs many times and have always been so pleased with the facilities. This was the first time we were disappointed with a KOA.

The camp grounds are clean and are divided very well so you are secluded from the other adjacent campers to the sides of you along the creek tent sites where we stay every year. The wash rooms on the other hand are a little bit outdated and could use a remodel badly, the shower stalls are way too small and scuzzy, and the locks on the toilet stall doors are left to be desired.

Nice location and quiet , absolutes clean campsite, but poor Wifi Service, the restrooms are too small for all the people of the campground, and it is Quote a walk, for tent campers.

The park has amazing views of the valley and nearby mountains, and is 10 mins to town. The owners appear to be upgrading sites with hardscaping and picnic table areas - looking forward to seeing the finished product! The water pressure and flow rate are very low, so hoping this is also part of the upgrade plan.

Perfect location for our needs, reasonable rates, the cabin was great, staff super friendly. Will stay here again next year!

Very nice site/ facilities. Very painful reservation process. I drove for 3 and a half hours last month to walk the site for our future trip (with 6 motorcyclists). I met with staff and confirmed 3 sites together. I paid in full and that was a painful process. We showed up for our reservations a month later, none of the sites were as discussed or reserved. VERY disappointed!! Call me please.

Trash can full at arrival, dirty cabin, dog waste everywhere around cabin , dirty restrooms 2out of three sinks blocked or with no water plus some not friendly host. Probably the worst KOA to date

This was up at the Mt not far from the KOA. The KOA had great sites for RV and tent. The staff was very kind.
