The new Deluxe Cabins we’re just perfect for this time of year! Very clean and had everything you could need. We’ve stayed in the Camping Cabins and Tent Sites and have not have a bad experience yet. Excellent location and proximity to Salida. We have already booked another stay for this year.

Beautiful location in the Rockies. Near Monarch ski resort, and upscale town of Salida. The manager was very pleasant, and stayed past normal closing time to check us in. The cabins are really nice!

Narrow lanes to approach sites. Roads/sites rutted --Sites need better road base/ gravel. Toilet/Shower facilities clean. Employee Robert was awesome-- personable, helpful.

The mooring we left, the space above us on the hill water connection had leaked all night since around 2300. Our entire space was flooded and ruined my shoes. The manager was overworked trying to do everything by hiself and needs help.

Space# & our name not on email reservation confirmation; office not open. Called, asked for return call-no return call. Showers dirty, restroom okay. Spaces all dirt & gravel; had been wet, heavy rig sunk 3” in our space. Dog feces covered some spaces. Relatively level & pull-throughs FHU. View is phenomenal & could be very pleasant with proper management. Native Coloradans, likely not return.

Check-in was supposed to be at 3pm. Upon arrival at 5pm the cabin was not ready. We had to wait until 8pm to get in. Halfway through our stay, the hot water quit working. We notified the facility manager immediately and it wasn't until the next day it was fixed. The facility manager refused to prorate our stay for the hassle.

I have been here for the last two months. The dog area did not have doggy bags and the bin was filled. Please provide doggy bags and empty the bin.

The spots were entirely too small, there were piles of gravel in our site, we had to wake the neighbors up to get them to move their truck because their site was too small as well and they were parked in the street, the Wi-Fi does not reach the site, and the dumpster was so overflowing we could not put our bags in there. The worker at the front office was very polite, but not much help.

The roads and spots were not plowed and had so much snow built up. We could barely pull into our spot. Do better about plowing the snow. That’s ridiculous.

Roads and sites were not plowed from snow 2-3 days before, making it difficult to maneuver our van. Sidewalks and steps to the bathroom were also not plowed.

It was convenient to a job I had, otherwise a basic campground. Be prepared for hurricane winds. 2 of the 3 showers had issues. The community room wasn’t functioning, the washers and dryers were very nice, I definitely appreciated those on site. The internet password never worked, they said it was correct, I asked for help and never got it fixed. Been to better KOAs. The Host was nice.

Beautiful Koa! Had a few issues that I did let them know about but nothing that would stop from re visiting this high altitude camp!

The bathroom facility was a dump. At the rear of the showers (men's side I did not view the women's) is a French drain of sorts with standing foul water the result of previous showers. The drains of the showers were rusted, stained, soiled and filthy. Further, there was a family of black widow spiders behind the door at the entrance to the bathroom. Finally, the WiFi did not reach the campsites.

Betty (Host/Manager) was friendly and accommodating! The campground itself is clean and sites are large, pretty level and manicured. My only complaint is that neighbors rolled in right next to us (when there were many many sites empty and available) with their 3 off leash dogs, and car troubles.. it took away from the peaceful site I had paid for.

We arrived without having a reservation after a campground down the road allowed someone to remain in the spot we had reserved and did not notify us. Betty at the Salida KOA was awesome and put us in a great spot for the next 5 days. We had a great stay & will return again!

This koa was awesome! beat my expectations by a landslide! So thankful for the heater. The mints were such a nice touch. Beds comfy, bathrooms clean, a perfect time around the campfire, thank you koa!!

We stayed in a basic cabin and it was really nice! The beds were surprisingly comfortable. Wish they had a second bathhouse and more access to drinkable water on site. Otherwise great place especially for the price!

Nice location, easy access to surrounding area. Quiet campground during my stay! My only struggle was the WiFi signal strength very weak. AT&T cell service worked fine.

Wonderful facility and very accommodating operators. We had special needs with moving our daughter in from California and the operator was very accommodating with extra vehicles and helpers in and out. Thank you Salida KOA.

Horrible tiny little site. we didn't even stay there cuz it was so bad. the refund policy didn't even allow for me to get any money back for a cancelation at that late of date - we relied on faked photos and an exaggerated description by the employee to book it til we actually saw the site. I will never stay at KOA and will tell others of our poor experience. I guess that is how all KOA sites are.

The Salida / Mt Shavano KOA clean very well maintained, awesome scenery. Issue with the trailer sites...placement of trees and large boulders around the sites make it tough to maneuver larger rigs to pull thru (in/out).

The person working the desk was prompt @ picking up the phone & was able to answer all my questions. She was very nice & gave me a call to make sure I had the late check-in information. The cabin was clean & the space-heater was great, since the temps dropped to high 30's. The bathrooms were clean & stocked as well.

Not particularly scenic. Only one functioning toilet during stay. Did have hot water, a plus. Rec room was a disaster - told updates/cleaning are planned (if I had a dollar for everytime I was told this from KOA locations I would be a rich man). Closing off at 4:30 in a business like this is very unusual and not really acceptable ... had to toss food because I couldn't get ice

This was up at the Mt not far from the KOA. The KOA had great sites for RV and tent. The staff was very kind.
