Absolutely amazing place with very friendly staff. This is our 2nd year staying and plan on coming back every year

The campground and facilities were very nice. Would not recommend staying in a tent though, it was very hot. The residential and permanent residents do not seem to have a nighttime noise ordinance.

We were experiencing an unusual June heat wave. As an alternative we do have Kamping Kabins which are like hard shell tents with bed sand AC. We do our best to enforce KOA's 10pm quiet time.

We got there later than expected. Our info was on the door. It was interesting setting our tents up in the dark! Especially since 1 of the tents was new and we weren't sure how to stabilize it. This is the most wilderness like KoA Ive been to. The cicadas sang all night, along with other creatures. I felt safe the entire time.

We are surrounded by lots trees and the lake so the cicadas were plentiful here. Their mating cycle has will be completed by the first of June and we will return to the sounds of frogs and crickets!

Staff was very accommodating. Quite a hike on a gravely slippery hill to get to the one and only bathroom. Campsite was clean and grassy and nice. We were tent camping.

Tried to cancel within the 48 hr mark and the phone number had “busy” signal every time I called. So I was charged for my stay that I wasn’t able to do because of your phone issue.

I am sorry you were unable to cancel during the required time frame. We have had no issues with our phone line that we are aware of and we also have an email that campers use for communication with us. In addition we tried to contact you on the day of your expected arrival but received no answer.

John the owner was fantastic! The pool was a perfect temp everything was wonderful after a 7 day trek down the east coast staying at several other KOAs along the way, Russell Springs was a beautiful ending to our trip. My kids loved it here and we absolutely will be making a return trip in the years to come!

I mean I love it there! We had an amazingly good time there. The only thing that I can say that’s really a bad thing but some tent campers hardly can’t use the Wi-Fi at night if they wanted to watch a movie with the family.. maybe could check and see about putting some hotspots through out the camp ground so everyone can use it.. just a thought! Thank you!

Now I'm very clear on what southern hospitality is. From the minute I walked in, I was greeted by the staff w/a big smile and small talk as if we have known one another for years. A employee(Jason) is a gentleman I will not soon forget, the time he spent driving me around the property to show me options for my tent was over n beyond, he again drove past after setting up to check on me. Thank you

We stayed in the smaller primitive tent camping area for the holiday weekend & had the area to ourselves most the weekend. Its a family friendly, peaceful campground with nice employees that do frequent checks of the premises & keep the grounds clean. The pool, bathrooms/showers & play area are a bit older but have been well maintained & are kept stocked & clean! Boat parking & only a mile to dock

Very helpful staff! They even helped me set up for a job interview I had to do while staying there. The bathrooms were super clean and the atmosphere was quiet and laid back.

We had a great first time camping experience we loved it. PROS Shaded spots Family friendly no noise after 10pm Pool by far our favorite place Staff was so helpful and always easy to find Bathrooms were super clean Security at night CONS Everything is uphill to get to anything but lake is below so no fault to the campground. Playground is outdated but there making changes

Location was nice and relevant to the lake. Staff very friendly. I would recommend updating electrical outlets on the tents site, some are corroded or infested with nests. Other than that, it was a nice stay

There were alot of open places we could hav gone and the place we ended up was sub standard w a pop up. The first night I took a shower and did not drain. I was standing in water and who knows what else upnto my ankles. The wifi was a joke. Will not go again.

Staff was accommodating and friendly. Bathrooms were clean and inviting. My campsite was comfortable and a reasonable distance from the bathrooms and showers. I stayed for one night. But would not have been opposed to staying another if circumstances would've allowed.

We had such a great time tent camping. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The bathrooms were clean. The pool area was very nice. We enjoyed walking our dog around the property. We will definitely come back!!
