Always enjoyable. We’ve had a few glitches but nothing that wasn’t resolved. The bathrooms are always very clean, people are nice. We don’t really expect perfection in accommodations considering it’s a campground. It’s a welcoming place. Home away from home for me!! Lord willing, I’ll be back ASAP!

Stayed in Kampin Kanin, attended Bluegrass Festival on site. Wonderful experience. Everything clean. Given an escort to our cabin and owners checked on us 30 minutes after getting settled i. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

Cabin had cracks in the walls that need to be fixed. Bugs were crawling on the ceiling. Nothing around so we had to drive an hour just to find dinner. Never coming back.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We have placed a threshold under the door and the cabins are professionally treated once/month. Russell County has many places to eat, most of which are 15 minutes.

Our cabin was right on the entrance road and the dog poop area right across the road! Road had big speed bump that was noisy. Behind our cabin was the rvs that the staff lived in. Not a nice place as we were disappointed and at first wouldn’t give money back for the 2 nights but gave a refund for one night. no dishes or water glasses and no silverware ware! Beware of this place!

We are sorry your stay was did not meet your expectations. The dog poop area referenced, which was across the road, is the KOA Paw Pad Site. A complete description of the cabin contents is on our web site. The owner offered a complete refund, which was declined, and you elected to stay one night.

One of the shower doors would lock but you could just push it open. You couldn’t close the toilet door unless you squeezed between the toilet and the wall. Camping cabin only had one stool and you could see light under the door because it wasn’t sealed.

Our property over looks the lake and a joins The Corp of Engineer's property line, who owns all shoreline on beautify Lake Cumberland. Direct lake access is only one mile away.

The location and access to the lake Cumberland marina is wonderful. Bathhouse was clean but really needs A/C considering the heat and humidity when others are showering it was hard to breathe for my mother who has asthma. Nothing in the recreation room worked and needs updated badly. Our cabin also had a very dirty filter on A/C uni, we cleaned it ourselves. Also needs an updated playground.

It was a rough time for me after losing both my dear companions. But they did everything they could to accommodate, especially with the surprise extreme rain that popped up and hung out all night! Definitely will be going back ASAP! Thanks a bunch!

The cabin was very nice. It was clean and well maintained. It wasn’t great being located on the main road with no shade available. Campground itself seemed unkept.

The cabin didn't have wifi as in the description, the floor has a raised 3 inch strip of wood that im assuming hides a seam but is a massive trip hazard, It's brown on brown so hard to see. And the arcade had half of the machines not working and all multi-player machines where broke. For this trip the wifi and arcade where what made me select here, so very disappointing.

We have a nice stay. The cabin was beautiful and new. The staff very nice. This KOA is more remote than we expected but great for relaxing time.

We stayed in a couple of the cabins at this KOA for three nights. Staff was very friendly and even opened up the pool an hour early. Grounds are super quiet and peaceful. Going back in September to tent camp

I checked in and paid my due balance of $254, received my keys, and then get a phone call 10 minutes later while I’m in my cabin asking if they can run my card for an additional $43. I said no and walked up to the camp store. They told me my koa rewards have expired and that’s why they need to charge me more. I pulled up my reservation showing the amount I owe. It was a nightmare

Your reservation was made Dec 2024 and the estimate for your stay was given based on having a valid card upon arrival. However the card expired April 2025. We offered to renew your card, which was declined. As a good will gesture, we extended the 10% even though the card was expired by 3 months.

The staff was friendly and the cabin was cozy and clean. However, the cabin was out in the direct sun with no type of shade relief from the heat of day. We asked to move to the other cabin for shade and were told it wasn’t available. Yet, for our entire visit the other cabin had no guests in it. No reliable WiFi or cell service made our entire stay quite aggravating.

My request for accessibility was honored & staff accommodated to my need. When storms blew Susan came to alert me re watch/warning, presence of shelters, & local radio station. The location is charming, shady & peaceful. Except for cicadas (!�) & spotty Wi-Fi (nature - not human- related) my stay was lovely. Check in/out was a breeze & all staff were friendly & helpful.

Have stayed there many times. Has never been a disappointment. Staff is extremely friendly. Bath rooms are kept clean as well as the surrounding area even when they that a big event going on. (Lake Cumberland Bluegrass festival) Very organized. Planning on attending again next year.

This campground is a great place to stay. It's super close to two boat ramps. Only a short hour drive to Cumberland Falls Park. But what really makes this place great are the people who run it. The owner personally stopped by our campsite and went over the map of the area. Showed us the best places to visit, the best restaurants, and more. He must have spent 20 minutes at the picnic table with us. Super friendly staff!

We love the location and the campground, love that it's family owned. But possibly they could use some of the earnings to slide a bit of comfort in!! If you have a disability or “bad back”, fair warning you'll need to take something to sit on even in the “delux” cabins. The front cabin has a loveseat that pulls out. Not sure of the comfort when it was pulled out but to sit on it was horrid. Cushions ripped and taped are a bit ridiculous since it costs so much more to stay there. I fear my dear friend from out of town will not be back because there was just no way to really find even a few minutes of comfort with only 3 of us there. The shower ran out of hot water before I could even wash. Again we love the place, but some comfort is a necessity when doing that type of traveling and only so many people can squeeze in one bed. So maybe decent furniture, maybe spring for a recliner. We will hopefully be back. But matching comfort with price would be great. I recommended the place and now I feel bad because it was 2 full days and nights formal her with no way to really sit and relax, only sit. I'm always uncomfortable so until I seen someone else so uncomfortable from my recommendation did I realize. Diana, if you read this I'm sorry! I did not know what that particular cabin was like…now I know. I'll be back, but lol not for comfort.
