I have been staying at Indian Hills since the 1980s. My children learned about camping and learned to swim there. We have spent many wonderful nights here and will continue to do so. I would recommend this campground, and have to anyone. The owners and workers work to see that you have a relaxing vacation or whatever occasion brings you there. They have over the years had special events. ♥

We had a great time. As always the staff were all very friendly and accommodating. They came around to check on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed and make us feel welcome. They make improvements on their sites when needed to make everything more comfortable, and their staff are constantly making sure the campground is clean and well groomed. A++ I would totally recommend!

We enjoyed our stay and had a great time at the Lake Cumberland Bluegrass Festival! We had spot A21, which was very spacious and super easy to pull in and out of. It was pretty unlevel side to side, however. We will be back next year!

We stayed because we wanted to attend the Bluegrass Festival. Very enjoyable and relaxing weekend. The park was well maintained, the staff was very nice and pleasant. Our site was on the lower area, full h/u pull through w/patio, very nice! We will be back next year for the festival.

We loved the rustic feel of the camp which is well maintained. Pool was refreshing, showers clean and nice, recreation room to die for, tons of activities for children and adults. Friendly owners, staff, and seasonal campers! We felt welcomed by all and enjoyed conversations with everyone! Close to marina, level spots, full hook ups and laundry.

Lot's to do around the campground and community. Owner is a former school teacher and a wealth of knowledge about local places to eat and the history of the area. Dog park, swings, slide, volleyball, basketball, pool, mini golf, recreational room with video games and pool tables and lots of places to embark on your daily journeys. I would recommend this campground to friends and family!

The Camp ground is a great place, nicely thought out and quite easy to navigate. Many little pluses, but the best part of the Camp Ground is the outstanding Staff. Always friendly, helpful and a pleasure to talk to, always have many suggestions and tips on what and where to go in the area. Will be returning to this Campground in the near future

We stayed in site D7 in a fifth wheel. We had thunderstorms each day. Our site had huge puddles of water on our stair side of the camper and on the driver side. We had to walk through a puddle to get into our camper and the underneath storage compartment. Our site was not usable. I feel you should know which sites hold water and should regrade and add gravel.

Campsite for non-residential customers were muddy, roads are in horrible shape, not enough gravel and there were big gullies you had to drive through and very narrow. We felt cramped into a small spot. Cabin was clean, showers were clean but outdated.

Staff was very friendly. Playground is minimal and outdated, lots of potholes and muddy areas in the campground, overflowing trash in dumpsters, flies everywhere.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We take great pride in our hospitality. Kentucky has had historic rain fall during the last several weeks. Although we are a well drained facility, muddy areas can not be avoided during episodes like this. We work hard grading roads when possible. Our dumpsters are emptied on a regular basis.

Stayed 10 days and 9 nights. Only wish was that the pool would stay open till 10 pm quiet time and that there be more showers or a bigger shower house with air conditioning. Would have given 5 stars for an air conditioned bath house and pool staying open. Most folks don't get off the lake till 7 or 8 pm and the kids would love to wind down in the pool as would the adults.

The air conditioner worked but made a TERRIBLY loud noise to the point that we could not run it. We ran it while we were gone and had to turn it off when we returned. The couch bed was uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. I witnessed the staff being extremely rude to a group of children trying to buy ice cream. The camp was a bit run down. However, I did feel it to be a safe environment.

The air condition had a pieces of paper removed from it and was a quick fix. When maintenance issue are known they are addressed. We take great pride in being friendly to our customers of all ages.

Had a good stay. Cabin was very clean but not what I expected. I’m not sure if I was mislead or if I misread the information. We were a family of 5 and booked the deluxe cabin. I believed it had a pull out sofa bed and oven but our cabin didn’t have any of these. We had a queen bed and set of bunk beds for 5 people. We made it work but the extra bed we expected would have been nice.

Personnel were nice but the campground is very run down. We tried to use the tennis courts and the net fell out of the side pole. We used our own rope to hold it up. There are quite a few permanent trailers and they are unkempt, dirty, toys and things strewn about. The pool seemed clean but very small and basic. The bathroom facilities were clean but also very old and so hot. No ventilation.

Great cable and Wi-Fi. But, some of the smaller sites were very close together. We were in a larger site but there was a road right in front of us and one directly behind us. Our yard was half gravel and half grass with dirt/sand so when it rained we had a mess. The staff were nice and helpful and the lake is only a mile away. So there’s good and bad, so I gave it a 4.

The STAFF were top-notch!!! Everyone that we spoke with was so helpful with anything we needed... Everything was superior in cleanliness!!! I have stayed at many a KOA and this one ranks at the top!!!

The only reason a 4 is the wifi only worked close to clubhouse and no shade in the area we were in. Horrible phone reception, no fault of theirs of course. But the people were nice, very clean facility. Pool awesome. I would go again as long as I got closer to wifi.

Thank you for staying with us at Russell Springs KOA. The carrier ATT does not pay to use the tower 1/4 mile form our campground and therefore the service from ATT is very spotty.

We stayed in the smaller primitive tent camping area for the holiday weekend & had the area to ourselves most the weekend. Its a family friendly, peaceful campground with nice employees that do frequent checks of the premises & keep the grounds clean. The pool, bathrooms/showers & play area are a bit older but have been well maintained & are kept stocked & clean! Boat parking & only a mile to dock

Very helpful staff! They even helped me set up for a job interview I had to do while staying there. The bathrooms were super clean and the atmosphere was quiet and laid back.

Campers love our cabins. We have two with bathrooms, we have five primitive cabins (the larger cabin that you enjoyed) and four kamping cabins. We hope you visit again.

A great campground. Sites are a bit tight. we have a slideout and when open it was really close to the next camper. good drainage, we also got hit with a storm, but the rain ran off and/or went under the gravel site.

Located on the high banks of lake Cumberland the campground is quiet and reasonably priced. Spots were easy to get in and out of and utilities worked fine for the whole stay. Staff were friendly and facilities were nice.

We have been visiting this KOA for about 25 years and we still love it!! Definitely recommend!
