Wonderful stay October 23rd-25th. We originally chose a spot and were right next to someone who had 4 dogs. We to have a dog and thought that would not be a good idea with all the barking (our dog VERY rarely barks). We moved three spots away to avoid barkfest. Became friends with the couple and had a great Anniversary weekend. Campground was empty and loved it! We would stay again!

Friendly, helpful owners and they were fantastic! A fall party with customers was going on when we arrived. Then when the owner showed us to our site he talked about how what route to take when leaving the area and that saved us from taking a GPS suggested road that would have been a big mistake - so grateful for that. Easy in, easy out, clean, well maintained property.

Always enjoyable. We’ve had a few glitches but nothing that wasn’t resolved. The bathrooms are always very clean, people are nice. We don’t really expect perfection in accommodations considering it’s a campground. It’s a welcoming place. Home away from home for me!! Lord willing, I’ll be back ASAP!

Couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more! Site B49 was everything we hoped it would be - a concrete patio with table/chairs that looks into the wooded area. A nice fire ring with seasoned wood from the store added to the ambience. From the pleasant friendly greeting to the service for each need it was a good experience. There is a family feel that adds to the experience. We would definitely return!

Excellent customer service and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Only negative would be campground and structures are dated and park is mostly dedicated to seasonal campers

From the moment we pulled up to check in until we packed up and left, we were greeted, each time we encountered any staff, and everyone was professional and courteous. The campground is well maintained, the pool area is large and very clean, the store offers a good selection of items needed/wanted on camping trips. This is our favorite KOA that's not far from our hometown.

Stayed in Kampin Kanin, attended Bluegrass Festival on site. Wonderful experience. Everything clean. Given an escort to our cabin and owners checked on us 30 minutes after getting settled i. Quiet, peaceful atmosphere.

We love KOA Russel Springs! The staff is always so amazing. The spots are clean and the amenities are cared for so well. The pool is always a huge hit for our family and we enjoy the laundry service as well! This campground is definitely a 10 for us!!

We just wrapped up our stay here for the 2026 Bluegrass Festival. As usual, everything from the staff, to the pool, to the grounds was in perfect condition. We had the best time with our family and friends. See ya next year!

Cabin had cracks in the walls that need to be fixed. Bugs were crawling on the ceiling. Nothing around so we had to drive an hour just to find dinner. Never coming back.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We have placed a threshold under the door and the cabins are professionally treated once/month. Russell County has many places to eat, most of which are 15 minutes.

Our cabin was right on the entrance road and the dog poop area right across the road! Road had big speed bump that was noisy. Behind our cabin was the rvs that the staff lived in. Not a nice place as we were disappointed and at first wouldn’t give money back for the 2 nights but gave a refund for one night. no dishes or water glasses and no silverware ware! Beware of this place!

We are sorry your stay was did not meet your expectations. The dog poop area referenced, which was across the road, is the KOA Paw Pad Site. A complete description of the cabin contents is on our web site. The owner offered a complete refund, which was declined, and you elected to stay one night.

One of the shower doors would lock but you could just push it open. You couldn’t close the toilet door unless you squeezed between the toilet and the wall. Camping cabin only had one stool and you could see light under the door because it wasn’t sealed.

Nice cabin, but first we were greeted with kindness. The view was beautiful. Cabin was clean. Thanks for the stay!

Our stay was amazing!! We will definitely be returning. The staff was amazing! I thought the tent area was going to be small. It wasn’t!! It was huge! The area was clean and the fire pit was clean as well.

We were first time campers and everyone was very helpful, even giving us great recommendations on things to do and great places to eat. The facilities were clean, the campsite was level, and we saw of staff out and about all day.

Just finished our annual “campcation” here, the kids loved it. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the grounds are always clean, the pool and playground never disappoints! See yall soon at the bluegrass festival!

I'm sorry you encountered problems during your stay with us. We have had no WiFi or cable outages we are aware of. If you have ATT&T phone service and were using it to connect to WiFi, service is very unreliable in this area.

This campground is a great place to stay. It's super close to two boat ramps. Only a short hour drive to Cumberland Falls Park. But what really makes this place great are the people who run it. The owner personally stopped by our campsite and went over the map of the area. Showed us the best places to visit, the best restaurants, and more. He must have spent 20 minutes at the picnic table with us. Super friendly staff!

We love the location and the campground, love that it's family owned. But possibly they could use some of the earnings to slide a bit of comfort in!! If you have a disability or “bad back”, fair warning you'll need to take something to sit on even in the “delux” cabins. The front cabin has a loveseat that pulls out. Not sure of the comfort when it was pulled out but to sit on it was horrid. Cushions ripped and taped are a bit ridiculous since it costs so much more to stay there. I fear my dear friend from out of town will not be back because there was just no way to really find even a few minutes of comfort with only 3 of us there. The shower ran out of hot water before I could even wash. Again we love the place, but some comfort is a necessity when doing that type of traveling and only so many people can squeeze in one bed. So maybe decent furniture, maybe spring for a recliner. We will hopefully be back. But matching comfort with price would be great. I recommended the place and now I feel bad because it was 2 full days and nights formal her with no way to really sit and relax, only sit. I'm always uncomfortable so until I seen someone else so uncomfortable from my recommendation did I realize. Diana, if you read this I'm sorry! I did not know what that particular cabin was like…now I know. I'll be back, but lol not for comfort.
