The Raton Downtown Historic District [2] is a historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places in Raton, New Mexico, USA. The district, when first listed in 1977, is bounded on the north by Clark Avenue and on the south by Rio Grande Avenue. On the east, the district is bounded by First Street, and on the west the district is bounded by Third Street. The district covers about 200 acres (81 ha) and contains 95 significant buildings. The district was enlarged in 2015.
The historic Shuler Theater in downtown Raton, New Mexico, is a state landmark and remains the center for performing arts in northeastern New Mexico.

The Raton Museum features treasures from Northern New Mexico's past.
Created by the Raton Historical Society in 1939, the museum features regional artifacts associated with ranching, coal mining, railroads, and pioneer life, plus original works by New Mexico artists.
