It was great! The customer service was fantastic, and there were so many great amenities! We loved the pool, hot tub, and K9 Kamp! We also liked how well stocked the general store was-- lots of stuff in case we forgot anything! We were really thankful for the dryers/washers as well, especially after I accidentally dumped a bunch of water all over our sleeping bags!

Great camp site with kids near beautiful places

The host is very friendly and helpfull! We only stayed one night. If we could have we would have stayed longer!

The woman in the office and the taller guy who wore the yellow shirt were very helpful. However, the shorter heavier guy took us to our sight was not conciderate to my concern for safety when we pulled in to set up. We have a trailer with a tip out bed in the front. I advised him that the trailer was pulled too far forward and he told me it needed to be there for traffic flow.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi, our camp host remembers you well. As he explained to you, your safety is paramount, and we place the RVs and trailers at the front of the site both to facilitate us parking of other RVs going into back in sites and prevent cars from parking perpendicular in front of their trailers. Your tip out was completely behind our yellow safety markers; it was just something you were not used to doing

Beautiful park. Great service very friendly and accommodating. We will be BACK

We were very comfortable in our little cabin. Everything was clean and grounds kept nicely. The staff were all very friendly. And I loved the music in the bathroom! It's a good location to both Sequim and Port Angeles.. Much to do in the whole area. We had a good time!

Owner is pleasant as is staff. Too many items unfinished around the resort. Looks like projects started and never completed. Too difficult getting in and out in big rigs. Entrance not designed for big RV's of today. They have the location, need to get serious about project completion.

It was pretty good. The kids enjoyed the pool. No communication in having a passcode put on the bathroom doors (after we were there for 4 days) was a disappointing surprise when I went to take a shower at 6am with no cell phone to call and get the passcode. Some poor gentleman needed to use the bathroom badly and didn't have the passcode. A note to each campsite should have been done!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi, Need to clarify, we did post that codes would now be required on both bathroom doors as well as the laundry the day we activated them. It also clearly instructed you to come to the office to get it if you did not have it. We also have an after hours number to call posted at the office doors.

This is going to be an outstanding park when it is complete. Friendly staff and most helpful.

View was great, staff was super friendly and helpful and amenities were great and clean. My only grip was my tent site 302 was a bit uneven resulting in some sliding while I was sleeping pretty minor gripe though.

Campground expanding, available restrooms not so much. Very clean, great location and super hosts!

We used this load as our weekend destination. We had been here before with our children and now bring our grandchildren. We love the helpful staff, activities, crafts like tie dying and marshmallow figures, and the peaceful, family friendly atmosphere! We will continue to recommend it to other families and return with ours. Thanks!

Overall it was a great experience. The kids enjoyed the pool and the playground. I liked that there was a place to wash the dishes and there were showers. I liked the little market that was well stocked with things they may be used while there. The bathrooms could have been cleaned a little more and the music was so dated. It was nice they had different events for the two nights there.

Great place to stay when exploring the Olympics. The cabins were awesome, bathrooms clean and the staff friendly. Three kids under 5 had a wonderful time.
Aug 15, 2017
i like the work they are doing on the grounds to better the stays
Aug 15, 2017
The staff was friendly and very helpful. There are sites among the trees, and some with a privacy fence on a cement slab, these are back in sights. The pull through sites have gravel and are open and very roomy.

Nice lot! Had a pool and a hot tub! Loved it!
Aug 15, 2017
It was a great site. The store was well stocked. I did not care for the campers that did not comply with the 5 mile per hour speed limit. I realize doing this keeps the dust down. Maybe paved roads would improve upon this. Thank you.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi, and thanks for you kind comments! We recently installed speed bumps to remind campers about the 5 MPH. We would love to pave the roads as well, but paving 2 mikes of roads is a budget item we need to save awhile for!
Aug 14, 2017
The grounds are clean and host are very friendly. Going to Olympic you think of trees. The full hook up sites have ZERO trees or grass. This is very unfortunate. I will say that its is partially my fault for not looking more into this.

We had a wonderful stay at the Port Angeles KOA. Our stay started off a little rocky only because our camp spot was a little small for our 10'x14' tent and the only area within our spot that the tent could be set-up was right next to the trash can station. Understandably, we reserved the very last spot when we booked our stay 3 weeks ago. Ultimately, we had a great time! Nice, clean facilities!

We all enjoyed it there. The movie was great.
Aug 14, 2017
Excellent park. Good customer service. Caring people. Good amenities. Great park for big rigs.

Quiet time is ten and that means you can't even play a family game by the fire. Hot tub doesn't work and they strictly enforce check out time. The staff is pushy and doesn't care about privacy. Only a good camp ground for the retired.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi, we remember your situation; the issue with your playing a family game after 10 was that we had to come down twice because of complaints by neighbors. When we can hear your children from 5 campsites away, yes it is too noisy. Our hot tub has always worked, so not sure what you mean by this, and yes we enforce the checkout time to allow us time to clean and prep for new guests

Great amenities! Friendly, helpful staff!
Aug 13, 2017
First - Great staff, efficient, welcoming always smiling. Location - too much noise from the 101 and the road next to the campground. Water contains too much clorine

We enjoyed our stay very much. Lots to do. Could use some more vegetation in the new area.

The location is great, close to Olympic park and port Angeles, staff is friendly bathroom are clean. The site not to good. We had the new area and its just gravel. No green just gravel, but location, location, location!
Aug 12, 2017
No cable, no dump at site. Better for tent campers than big rigs.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi Thanks for you comment. Cable is not listed anywhere on our website this year. Our records show you requested a site that was water electric only, so you would not have had a sewer. Your RV was 40' long and we placed you in a 60' slip with another 30' long area specifically dedicated to your site for an extra car, so not sure what you mean by not big rig friendly.
Aug 11, 2017
The pool was very dirty. The full service sites seem new, but no effort has been made to landscape. Just dirt and gravel. No trees planted. It was so dusty! Staff was helpful. Location good
Aug 11, 2017
We enjoyed our stay at this campground and staff were very accomodating. Lots of activity to keep ones attention. Only concern was the small or lack of washroom and shower accomodations at this site. Campground was full resulting in lineups at both the washroom facilities and showers unless u went very late in evening or very early in AM (before 7 AM) Attention is needed here.
Aug 11, 2017
Extremely disappointed in the KOA. Full hookups were in a gravel pit, no shade, dusty. Overpriced for the site especially with no cable tv and limited wifi hookup. Location is good. People were nice. Also a lot of junk -bulldozers, gravel piles, etc.- sitting around the sites. Very unappealing, especially for the price. Will not stay here again and would not recommend.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry your stay was not what you expected; we wish you would have come to talk to us so we could addressed your concerns. What you have not said is that full hookup sites you were in are now averaging 35' between sites, 55-75 feet in length, are level and have all new utilities; a HUGE improvement over last year. The only thing missing is final landscaping, which is on the way this fall.
Aug 11, 2017
Pretty expensive for what you get... owner was too worried about kids damaging trivial things instead of making sure everyone is taken care of. I'm sure the view is beautiful without the smoke, but after staying on the ocean for $30 a night right up the road, $100 a night was pretty steep for a mountain view. Nice gift shop and game area.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Hi thanks for the comment! Not sure what you mean by trivial, but we do have zero tolerance for parents that do not properly supervise their children, or for kids that maliciously damage property or don't listen to staff instructions. The only $30 RV spots in this area we know of are in state parks, and they do not have full hookup, heated pools, a store or gamerooms.
Aug 10, 2017
The owners were wonderful people and helped us a lot with our bikes and other things.
Aug 10, 2017
Too far out of town Wifi as most KAO campgrounds is virtually useless Very noisy on a main road

Excellent. Liked 306 a lot

Very nice camp ground - we were sad we had only booked one night. Teenagers very happy with play room with table tennis and pool table. Very small pool though and poor wi-fi connection.
Aug 09, 2017
Friendly staff great, great campground with everything you need to be comfortable. Would have liked more space but we would stay there again.
Aug 09, 2017
Very friendly staff, nice clean & well maintained establishment. Central to lots of the attractions & beaches. Store is well stocked, lots of activities going on for the campers. Lots of tree sites, grass sites and pads for everyone. Great music playing as well!!!! Had a marvelous time. We will be back next time we head out to the fabulous OP!!
Aug 09, 2017
I was a little disappointed that there were only 1 bathroom building. We stayed very close to the entrance and this made it hard for myself and my 2 year old. I was also hoping to play putt putt golf, but that was non existent. I did appreciate the washing dish station. Overall, my family and I enjoyed our stay.
Aug 09, 2017
Clean, not quiet because of the main highway adjacent to camp and the comings and goings of the campers, needs mire barriers to noise, pool hours should be until 10pm at least in the summer, the kids rental equipment too high for families on a budget, directional arrows for entrance/exits are confusing and the entrance road is single lane, we would stay again though the camp could use improvement.
