The campground IS in some nice trees, but right next to a noisy highway. The back of our tent site was against the garage / storage area. The side was next to all the picnic tables. Not pretty. In general KOAs tend to be parking lots with a pool. This is not camping to me. Fortunately, it was just a one nighter for us. Find someplace else. (The check-in lady was very nice though!!)

Campsite was too noisy and the service guy at the front desk was unpleasant to deal with. He was not helpful at all,the only good thing about the campsite was the showers had good hot water, but I would not recommend it nor stay there again

The location greets me as being somewhere away from “it all”. Like being in hideaway. This area is full of peace and mother nature all around. The haunted feelings I get with being near Lake Superior gives me vibes of Gordon Lightfoot singing “The Wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald in my head. I want to return and explore more of the Musining area and venture to the Copper Mountains area further

I would not recommend for others to stay here, as it is one of the more "rough" KOA's I've stayed at. The bathroom facilities were unkempt, unclean, and very unsanitized. The garbage containers were jagged, where you had to lift the lid up, just to throw the remnants of the paper towel away, the smell in the bathroom was putrid & the shower facilities looked like they had not been cleaned in wee

Nice, friendly staff. Firewood and ice were available at a reasonable price. Restrooms were clean. Maybe could have had a little touch up here and there between the big cleans.

Overall, an unpleasant place. This KOA doesn't follow its posted quite hours, from people getting drunk at the bar to a DJ blasting music. The bathrooms only had 1 working stall. Laundry room was filthy covered in cobwebs and dead bugs. Playground was broken, outdated, the only working pool also had broken and missing titles. The mini golf was broken/dirty as well. Staff was friendly though.

I believe this may be the wrong campground as we do not have mini golf and no issues with our stalls & pool.

Spur of the moment tent stay for the night. Great place to spend the night or a week in fact I'll be back. Bathroom and shower were much cleaner and nicer than mine i must admit

The location is incredibly noisy due to its proximity to a major highway and industrial facilities. Additionally, there were deliveries taking place directly adjacent to our campsite around 5:00am.

In general I found the facilities sufficient. I feel more emphasis should be placed on adding additional cleaning periods in the shower area. The showers needed significant changes in the cleanliness of the shower heads and fixtures. Layered with unhealthy soap scum not cleaned for several days. The showers were un satisfactory in terms of cleanliness, and require multiple deep cleanings.

My only complaint- there is only one bathroom facility in this entire campground. I would have liked one closer to my site. Otherwise, it was quiet, staff friendly, and close to the attractions.

The campsite was extremely noisy from highway traffic all night long. The site condition was unsuitable for pitching a tent until we cleared the stones from the damp earth tent area. The tent area needed to be built up for better drainage a good layer of sand or other fine material for drainage and cleanness when damp from rain. The highway noise was totally unacceptable. Bad choice of site!

It was very noisy. Got woke up every morning before 7 am from either dumpsters getting dumped at 6:30am one morning and 7 am another morning. Another morning woke up around 7am from whatever truck loading or unloading behind our site. No place to wash dishes except a hand sink. Bathrooms needed to be cleaned more than once a day.

The staff and grounds are the best we have stayed at. We like KOAs due to there consistency in cost and quality of the campground.

Great location for a base while you see the U.P. Beautiful campground, friendly staff. If we come back this way, definitely will stay here again. Site was very nice, level, easy access to the full hookups. We stayed 3 nights, neighbors were please and considerate.
