If the weather would have cooperated it would have been a perfect trip. The sites are spacious and wooded. They even arranged for us and the friends we traveled with to have sites next to each with the ability to have our awnings facing each other. We're already planning our return trip for next year. Can't wait! Go eat at Bear Tracks while there. Really good food!!

Very shaded park among more trees than I’ve ever seen in a camp. Not much interaction with staff but were helpful when we needed them.

Had a great stay and staff was friendly. All the sites have lots of shade with beautiful trees. One complaint I have is that there is only one dump station in the whole park which allows only one person to dump at a time. We had to wait for 30-45 minutes on our date of departure to leave the KOA due to the long line to the dump station (on a Monday), which really put us behind schedule.

Nice spot but washrooms were constantly a mess. I know that it was rainy outside, but over 3 days I never saw them clean or dry. Do better!

Sites are very small and ours was very muddy. I also wish you could choose your site. We were placed right by the pool and it was very noisy, which would be a great site if you had children, but, 2 adults on vacation usually like a little more of a quiet evening.

Was there for a couple nights while exploring the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Outside of the rain coming in and not stopping for 3 days it was fantastic. Bathrooms are clean, showers are good water pressure and hot. I would recommend his campsite to anyone staying in the area.

Had to share water and electric with your neighbor and the pull thru site in the woods we had to end up backing into cause of trees and electrical boxes. We had a 41 ft 5th wheel .

Bathrooms are subpar for the rate charged-urinals stink, floor dirty,trim/fixtures were very old. A general lack of attention to any detail at every part of the park. Old pool facilities, old playground equipment…just very dated for the price and expected KOA standards.

This is our 4th time staying at these campgrounds, friendly staff, clean grounds, clean bathrooms and showers, everything was great as always, highly recommended! We will be back again!

The full hook up sites are totally setup wrong. You are facing your neighbor and the lots are so narrow that it was extremely uncomfortable for everyone. We have a 30 foot trailer and had a 37 foot next us that we physical to hear them even turn on a light switch. Terrible setup.

The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. We were staying at this location to be close to the 10 mile hike (Chapel Basin Loop) the next day. The staff knew about the hike, how to locate the trailhead (20 mile drive), and gave us good information about what to expect. The KOA shared area and restrooms were clean and there were lots of fun activities for all the kids.

Bathrooms tribals stink, no updated pellets, grounds looked “tired” and unkempt-lack of attention. Pool looked dated as well as playground equipment. Overall bathrooms were dated and subpar for a regular going rate as other KOA’s.

It was the only KOA on our trip that didn't deliver firewood and ice,but that wasn't the end of the world. The reason we will never go back there is because nothing was done to the people that baited and killed a friendly chipmunk and tried to kill a squirrel. I reported it to the office and was told it was going to be brought to the managers attention to see how to handle it.

This was our first visit to Munising. The KOA was easy to access. The staff was friendly and very helpful with activities to do during our stay. The staff was also very helpful and accommodating when we discovered I made a scheduling mistake. As I rate the location high and would recommend it to others, the road noise is insane. I loved all the trees at the Munising KOA which provided privacy and also shade from the summer sun. The heated pool was relaxing after a long day of traveling. Staff members were very helpful and kind! The location was perfect for day trips to the National Park, Pictured Rocks Cruise and local towns. I'll definitely be back to stay at this clean, friendly and well-run KOA. A billion stars!

Campground was nice except for the showers. We stayed for 3 days and the showers were never cleaned. They were gross. Looked like mold was on the walls and womens hair everywhere.

We were in lot 68, too many tree where you need to maneuver to get your camper in and out. It took 10 minutes to leave, and that was only possible because the guy across the road moved his truck.

The big problem is the lack of gravel. The sites and roads are a mix of dirt and sand. It’s impossible to keep everything from getting covered with it. Anything you put down on the ground is covered with the wet sand and dirt mess.

Clean and quiet ! We were closer to the road, but virtually no traffic noise at night. I had to turn on a fan to sleep it was so quiet.

The man who managed the front desk while we were there was great. He was always friendly and helpful. Great customer service. The only downfall was we were next to the playground and there were a lot of screaming kids every night. Next time I'd stay in the back. Lovely wooded sites.

We were in area to kayak picture rock. This campground is located near grocery, lighthouses and waterfalls.Sites are dirt/sand and well shaded. Restrooms and showers need a little TLC. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Everything at this KOA is the bare minimum. The picnic table and fire ring appear to have been moved by a previous guest. In my opinion they should have been moved back, and the fire ring cleaned out prior to our arrival. Seems trivial, but I am not that strong to move things. The people who work at this KOA are absolutely wonderful. And that makes up for the inconvenience.

Easy check in, Easy pull thru site. Didn't use any amenities though. Site was large enough for our 42' FW. Electrical was over 50' from plug in, but we do carry 100' extra cord so no big deal. Would definitely stay again!

The campground was very well kept, store staff amazing and the site was very spacious. The store had brochures for the area which I was able to use and see the sites in the area! Thank you for making mine and my family's trip great!

Small site. Truck was either parked under our awning or in street. Power pole 2 feet from our fire pit Shared fire space with campers next to us Womans bathroom never clean showers even worse. Mens bathroom showers didn't lock. Pool was good. Had sand at bottom 100 % of the time.

Enjoyed the campground. Very wooded which we prefer in a campground. Hated being placed on the perimeter of the pool. Very noisy plus many rude adults & kids walking thru the middle of my site to get to pool & restrooms. Even while I'm sitting at my picnic table. Would like to see dedicated walkways for the other campers to get the the pool/restroom/showers.

I stayed at this KOA in October 2024 during the fall foliage season. Like every KOA I have been to, it was clean, spacious, and had friendly hosts. They were kind enough to post my check-in envelope outside when they found out I would be arriving late that night. The restrooms were immaculate. Saw great views of the aurora borealis that night too. This is undoubtedly the best campground in Alger County, and I will be certain to return. Highly recommended!

The campground was OK. The sites were a little small but clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we can not comment on the facilities because we had poor weather while we were there. Also the rain brought out the mosquitoes so we stayed in the trailer most of time. Munising is a nice town and worth the visit. We did some hiking in the area.
