The only thing we experienced above a state park was the pool. Basic playground. Small sites. Staff not overly friendly.

My site 70 was so super small & we have a 27’ bumper to bumper truck camper. The site next to us had a tent that was 4’ from my back door, legally on his site. Ridiculous. No paved roads. The laundry & showers were clean but the showers were extremely small & I’m small. The saving grace was the fabulous woman working in the office. Kind & pleasant.

Campsite was good; nice, wooded campground. Lavatories and showers good and attendants very outgoing and helpful. Better weather would have made my stay more enjoyable, but weather is what it is.

Pool was down. The showers were cold no one offered to help with any requests. There didn’t seem to be any one spraying for mosquitoes. Lack of amenities , more like an entry level campground with koa price, very disappointing.

We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. We have the property professionally sprayed for mosquitoes & notified maintenance immediately of the hot water being down. The issue was resolved very quickly.

It was great! The staff was so friendly and super accommodating, and the campground is in a perfect location - close to many things that the area has to offer. We’ll definitely be back. :)

Bathroom and showers were not clean. Otherwise, nice and friendly staff. The property is nice, well treed and has larger sites.

It’s a pretty nice park for its size. It seems pricey. The staff was great, the bathrooms are nice but were far away from our site. We liked the free library and the dog park was useful.

We enjoyed our stay! Quiet for how busy it was. Not much road noise in the back two loops where we were. Mosquitos were minimal. Fun pool, clean showers.

The greeter at check in was nice and helpfull. The camp ground was nice and maintained well. The mosquitos were bad. Didnt like the restrooms being closed for two hours, one hour each should have been enough. Overall, a good stay.

We had a 37 ft 5th wheel with full hook ups.. I made my reservations over 6 months in advance for 4 nights. When I arrived i was placed in a looks like overflow spot # 4 ucould all the road traffic. We asked if there were any other spots away from the road in the real campground.. but there wasn't.

We appreciate the feedback and are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your site. It looks like you reserved online and picked the upfront FHU 50 amp site. If you reserve in the future please call and we'd be happy to ensure you aren't in the front or just pick the back 50 amp FHU site.

Beautiful area, close to downtown with plenty of places to eat if you’re looking. Close ti all the gorgeous trails and sites ti see. People who work here were so knowledgeable and helpful. Clean bathrooms & showers. Sites were peaceful and private. Great pool and play area for kids. Would definitely stay here again

The location is convenient and the area is beautiful, the campgrounds and campsites are nice but the overflow camping (where our friends stayed) was very much below standard. The cabin is basic but it was dusty and as it does not have any running water, it is also quite a distance from the bathrooms and water.

Ideal location when staying near Munising and not too far from most hiking trails. Full hook up lots were rather tight and not many activities on site if you are traveling with younger children.

Wasn't much privacy with the sites being so close together, but we had pleasant neighbors. Kids enjoyed playing in the area near the playground with outdoor toys we brought. Near the highway so there was a good bit of noise at night. Bring bug spray or ThermaCELL for the mosquitoes.

This was our first stay at the Munising KOA and it was very nice. Most of the sites are wooded and shaded and we really liked that. The facilities and grounds are well kept and clean. The staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating - they seemed a bit short staffed so hats off to them.

We enjoyed our stay. The campground is old fashion grass, trees and gravel roads. Staff was very friendly. We would definitely stay again on our way through to Wisconsin.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the store and laundry were nice. Beyond that, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting both days we stayed there in both the men's and women's bathrooms. Toilet paper pieces on the floor and some stalls without toilet paper at all. The showers were filthy the whole time. They were definitely not cleaned properly at all. Campsites too close together.

First time staying at a KOA. Clean bathrooms, helpful front desk staff, adorable tiny cabin, very close to the center of Munising but still a very rustic(wooded) feel, firewood for purchase at front, store at the front to pick up some of the stuff you may have forgotten. We will definitely be staying at KOA'S again (especially this one)!

Absolutely beautiful campground with spacious sites. Wifi throughout campground was great. Site hookups worked, electricity and water. Campground is very well maintained with fantastic staff who are helpful and friendly. Great place to stay if you are in the area for Painted Rocks National Seashore, it’s just a short drive from the campground to the town of Munising, MI.

We moved that is was so close to the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. We took a boat cruise to see the shoreline on Lake Superior. The rocks were amazing to see. We didn’t have time to kayak as it was colder and windy. We also drove to White Point, Whitefish Lighthouse and Whitefish bay. And visited the state park on out was back. Two nice walks with falls at the end. TY KOA. Nice visit.

We enjoyed our stay, we were in the tree covered lots which wasn’t our favorite but next time we’ll know which sites to pick. We will return. Front desk check in staff were very friendly.

This is a beautiful tree filled campground. I had full hook ups, cable and pretty good wifi. I would recommend this campground to others.

Staff was nice. The only issue was the site fire pit was right next to the neighbors so you had zero room & privacy around the fire

Great place to camp! The camp host was super nice, campground and amenities were clean and in good condition. Also very close to pictures rocks!

Catching up on helpful Google reviews from previous stays. I usually place reviews on Campendium for RV parks. ---------------- Stayed here in late-July 2023. Back-in. Water and electric only 30 amp. Site #62 $53/night 3 nights stayed Site #62 THE GOOD Location: Close to town where you go to take any of the tours of Pictured Rocks. Also close to gas, food, and groceries (about 10 min). Sites: Backed up to woods with lots of space and felt really comfortable for a camping experience. THE BAD Site: All grass and not level. NOT GOOD OR BAD: Wifi: Did not connect to campground wifi. Cell service: Neither Verizon or AT&T were good. AT&T was just good enough to get some light work done. Facilities: Did not use laundry or showers to review.
