The owners are amazing. We have been coming here since they first bought it and it only a gets better! So positive, uplifting and just plain fun! Kids love all activities they put out there. You rock!

Hobbit cabin was super cute. It would be nice if ceiling fan could run with the lights off. The small ceiling light would need to be on its own switch. There was no smoke detector in the cabin which concerned me. The bed was not great to sleep on. Adding a porta potty near the cabins with no toilets would be helpful for late night bathroom trips. Solitude of the campground was great.

Everything was amazing—staff was outstanding, park was clean and we loved all of the texting and of course the cinnamon rolls.

Hard to find with road closed from west approach. Directions sent were from east. Just stayed over night but campground was well kept and the events planned for weekend sounded great!

When we checked in we were 2 hours early, they charged us an extra $25 for that. Not necessary. The firewood was very expensive and the wood obviously was not seasoned and wouldn’t burn. The nightly rates were more expensive than surrounding campgrounds, that must me why they had so many vacancies. Very dissatisfied

I reserved a 30amp site, elec only. Got there late as getting there was on horrible roads. Our site had 20amp and we could not use it. Moved to an empty site with 30amp, and also water and sewer that we did not use. When I told them about it, they charged us more money. I only wanted what I reserved and feel I should not have had to pay any extra, when I didn't get what my reservation said.

This campground has a lot of really nice wooded/ secluded spots. We had a patio site which was nice but more of a parking lot feel. We picked patio in case of rainy weather so we could keep our dogs drier. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

All good except for cats jumping in bins when you open a door and tough to get out when it goes all the way through and jumping on table when you have food out or constantly jumping in your lap when you are sitting out. Staff are great, .

We arrived after hours, and the text info had us prepared and comfortable arriving and getting settled into our cabin. The camp store had everything we forgot or needed. My boys enjoyed the movie Saturday night, and they took advantage of the ice cream available.

We had a really really nice time at Ludington East. This was our first time staying and we were highly impressed with the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the campground. The adorable kittens roaming the campground were an added bonus and were very fun to play with. We look forward to visiting the campground and Rory the Cat in the future.

Had a fantastic weekend there for our dad's fishing trip. Awesome camp ground and wonderful staff. I'd recommend this campsite to everyone! Clean bathrooms, clean campsites, plenty of activities for kids. Hope to come back some day.

The staff was very friendly and the facilities are nice. We have stayed at several KOA sites this summer and this is the best!

Excellent KOA. Good communication, and a lot of effort put forth by the staff to make the stay memorable. We have gone there every summer for about 5 years, and think it is one of the best.

We've stayed ever ever since they became a KOA. We (kids especially) look forward to every visit. There are new things every year. We enjoyed the "Heeeey" ride for the first time and had hoped there would be a night walk. We've always enjoyed the activities and look forward to our next visit. You are missing out if you stay anywhere else!

The campground was nice with sparkling clean restrooms and lots of activities. The only downside was even though it said ludington, the campsite was about 30 minutes away from ludington. Also, the wood we purchased was wet and very difficult to burn. The staff was great though and we had a fun trip!

Staff was GREAT!! Very friendly and helpful. Was a Great weekend. My only complaint was there was no WiFi up near sites 138,139,140. Everything else was good.

All in all it was a very enjoyable weekend. Being as isolated as you are, it's probably hard to get any better wifi service but that would be about the only recommendation.

The weekend the park was full. But the sites are so large you don’t feel cramped in the back circle by the forest. You can go down and do the activities but still just go back and be in the quiet. The staff was really great! We stayed during the week and they got the pool all opened up for us even though we were the only people there. For sure would stay here again if in the area!

Pros: Nice campground, friendly staff and loads of activities. We stayed in one of the spacious sites and it was great. Cons: The location is remote. A 30min drive to the state park and the town. It’s inconvenient if you want to do shopping and explore the area. And almost everything comes with a cost- even wagon rides- which is rare because most of campgrounds offer activities for free.

Stayed last summer with family. Lots of activities for the kids. Pool area is nice. The male owner was fun, nice, and helpful. We didn't care for the site we had and he showed us around and moved us. Wish the roads would have been paved so kids could ride bikes/ scooters everything is large gravel and rocks. Staff was helpful and delivers fire wood. Kinda a haul to Ludington.

By far my favorite KOA in the state of Michigan. Secluded but with all the great activities. Close to the Pere Marquette River for fishing and kayaking and a quick easy drive to Ludington as well. The kids love this one and so do the dogs. We have brought our camper and those sites are so nice and we have also stayed in the cabins and they are always clean and comfortable.
