This was our second stay in the KOA in Owen Sound this month. We had friends going, so we joined them. We pre-booked a patio site L1. This site was tight for our 40 foot motorhome with the 4 pushouts. The front one was within a inch of the glass electrical meter. L2 was better for us, but someone with a small trailer had already booked that site...... :). Anyways, we will return to this KOA.

Although the campsite is clean the staff are unfriendly and not helpful. We had other customers complaining regarding their loss of power when we arrived and we only had our fridge and small fan running. The pool was by appointment which is understandable during covid however it was also closed on Wednesdays. For the price we paid we would stay elsewhere next time.

OUR FAVORITE KOA IN ONTARIO !!

This was our 3rd tine at this campground in the last 2 years are scheduled for the Labour Day weekend this year. Friendly staff, especially at check in. We would’ve rated it a 5, but were disappointed that the pool was closed on the Wednesday, (Aug. 18th), which was a very hot day. We understand that the pool needs to be serviced but suggest that it be done before it opens at 11 am.

Our stay on the weekend was awesome, people at the campground were very friendly. We met some new people at campfires. It was so handy having the bruce trail so close. Fire wood far to expensive, 6 pieces of wood for 13.55. Thanks

Campfire curfew. Cameras everywhere not family friendly at all. Stay away as it’s a police state here. I don’t recognize this campground anymore. We will not be back.

was a clean and pleasant park to enjoy

Quiet park. No problems. Will be back

It was a hot, dry, sunny week weather wise. We had fun exploring Owen Sound & surrounding area, including the shoreline Meaford to Collingwood. We found excellent ice cream in Wiarton. Our campsite & entire campground was clean & well maintained. The staff were helpful & friendly. Washrooms/showers were clean & well kept. We had a wonderful experience at this KOA & surrounding area & recommend it.

This is the only KOA we’ve been to that had a list of rules we had to sign off on, didn’t have any activities for kids and didn’t deliver wood to your site or monitor during the day (not sure if this is the ‘journey’ part or not). For paying more for a pull thru site near the pond, it was extremely close to the other sites (especially to septic and hookups as well as fire pits (uncomfort

Nice park but I wish that sites 60 to 65 would get the power fixed so that you could run an air conditioner. It was hot during the day!

45 minutes per person per day in the pool was crappy basketball/volleyball off limits which doesn't make sense since the play structure was open. The gravel road into the campgrounds is very dusty...a solution would be to put down calcium LOVED the access to the Bruce trail The electric and water service was good. On our site...the Sewer pipe was up a slight hill.

Very clean!! We had a perfect site. Seemed easy for a newbie with larger trailer to get around.

Nice site with easy check in and very quiet. Convenient to attractions etc.
Aug 21, 2021
Very nice KOA with nice private sites. Very different rules from other KAOs that we stayed. No wood delivery, no garbage pick up, store with very little supplies and closed at 6pm daily. Very clean and quite.

Nice campground but need dust control badly. Most campers take pride in their tow vehicles and trailers and the dust here is really bad. I know paving is expensive but calcium would be a great inexpensive alternative especially when a seeder/spreader is parked on site, just sitting there

Had a great stay at this KOA. Only our 2nd time camping so hard to rate against other RV Camps. Staff were Courteous and very helpful when we had some trouble with our Electric power. Clean sites, very peaceful, everything we needed in a campground. Would stay again for sure.

Park is very well kept and was a great place to stay with the family. Was very close to town for convenience but was tucked back in which made it very quiet and private. Found the staff to be very attentive but not very friendly (ex. We would wave when they drove by, and wouldn’t wave back).

Very well kept, very clean, good facilities, and very large campsites. The campsite is minutes from food and a variety of essential services and shops. I would suggest the owners review their Wi-Fi service. this is the first KOA I have experienced offering only 1 hour free access a day and requiring payment for access for the rest of the day. Otherwise, this is an excellent location.

Very nice and quiet campground. Bicycle trails nearby took us right downtown. We’ll be back. Unfortunately, we had power problems at our site, L42. Voltage dropped to about 100 volts at 18 amps and 92 volts at 27 amps. Brand new solar installation meant I didn’t trust the numbers but they’re all fine at the next campground. I should have mentioned it to them.

We booked site L2 - patio site on line without seeing it. After we set up, we realized what a great site it was. The site has tall trees on both sides, giving you almost complete privacy. Then behind our motorhome there was an open field. We took some awesome sunset photos. We ended up really enjoying the time and have booked L1 for another stay this coming week!

Very expensive Pool closed on Wednesdays?????? No RV supplies in store (also no bread, milk or usual food items. No campsite garbage pick up Firewood $13.50 per bag ( will likely result in people brings no in their own) Had to ask for guide to site as got lost from directions given Only one hour internet per day???? Price gouging appears number one here. Over 30 years with KOA, not happy!

Enjoyed our stay ! Will definitely choose a KOA again . This was our first time at a KOA and will definitely return. Quiet and private site across from the trout pond . Perfect location to explore this part of Ontario. Tobermory , Sauble beach and the Bruce trail all lovely day trips.

It was a nice campground, however, most sites offered nice level sites. Ours was suitable for a small trailer, but not a 32 foot motorhome. The site was not level in the least which made setting up a real chore. It was mostly uphill, I saw much smaller trailers in beautiful large flat sites. We arrived slightly early and were told to wait till 1. Another RV got in before that, we waited. Ugh!

It was our first time staying at the Owen Sound KOA and we loved it, the staff is really nice and friendly, the parks very nice and exactly what you think of when camping, very quiet and peaceful place to stay, we were right across from the pond and loved it, beautiful spot to stay, we will be back for sure!

Nice camping but amenities limited compared to others, staff not very helpful and didn’t take not account our request even after numerous follow ups (2 sites close to one another for 2 families travelling with small children)!
Aug 17, 2021
This KOA is purely a home base with very few amenities or activities for campers staying more then a couple days. There is a lot to do in the area which off sets this a bit.

RV and towing vehicle was a mess by the time we got to site . Long, dry and dusty road to main office . 11pm fire out policy is crazy. . Expensive firewood and no outside firewood allowed yet seasonal people allowed to bring in wood from wherever. Charge extra for children. Washrooms were cited as very clean but were not. 4 inches of mildew on bt.of shower curtain. Good place to stay away from .

Campground layout is nice; service is awful! Lady checking us in Friday wqs rude. They operate the place like a Police state. Security rolled up and yelled, "Dowse it!" Instead of explaining rules. Owners treat customers like children, I coulnd't visit my friends site in my truck, even though I was staying in the park. Goughing at the store ($198, for a 25ft 30 Amp cord.) Will never go bac

Site sucked No privacy Had to book pool slots instead of just able to jump in Was placed far from friends front desk didn’t even attempt to accommodate Lots of flies everywhere No activities for the kids

Great location and amenities. Friendly staff.

Very clean, the staff was wonderful!!!

Friendly staff, quiet location , clean facilities close to lovely hiking trails

stayed for 7 days. Really quiet campground. Was central to where we wanted to visit. One negative was they do not deliver wood to campsite as we are seniors and find it difficult to carry the wood...

It was one of our most enjoyable visits yet ! The site was AMAZING !! Park is always clean and staff is very friendly !! By far our favorite KOA !!! Cindy

Communication is lacking, hard to find workers. Pool is nice, bathrooms need more cleaning. Otherwise a nice stay
Aug 16, 2021
Perfect atmosphere. close to many attractions to visit. My only issue was you only get 45 min in th pool and only 15 people are allowed in, wasnt that big of a deal though, we just drove down to the spend the day at the beach!
Aug 16, 2021
Understanding with covid things are different, there however wasn't much to do. The pool has to be booked and only 1 slot per day for 45 min, this should be on the website as we were not aware before arriving. We had an issue with a washing machine that was advised to the staff in the store. We had to resolve ourselves as there was no additional soap to buy and no money was refunded.

Beau camping tranquille sur semaine mais beaucoup plus occupé la fin de semaine. Un peu plate que nous devons payer un surplus si nous voulons avoir du wifi.

This is a great home base if you're visiting the Owen Sound area. We love that it's tucked away from the main highway so there's no road noise at night. The sites are spacious and well-treed, and all the campers around us were very respectful of the campground's quiet hours. Definitely recommend!

My family and I have booked KOA trips for multiple years now and love this location. We recently had booking problems and Tommy helped us reserve a cabin after hours and was overall very helpful

Very specious for a KOA. Very welcoming and accommodating. The sites are spotless: no sign of thrash (the classic in the fire ring). Very quiet at night. Felt very safe.

We frequent KOA locations across North America. This is our first time here. We found it to be beautiful, very clean, and the attendants were very pleasant and welcoming. We did a lot of hiking through the national parks within this area so this KOA was in a perfect location to set as a base camp.
