Visit various shops to sample wine and shop at local stores in downtown Coos Bay. This event is held the first Friday of every month and donations help local businesses. $10 donation for a commemorative wine glass and map. Dates of this event are: February 1st, March 1st, April 5th, May 3rd, June 7th, July 5th, August 2nd, September 9th, October 4th, November 1st and December 6th.
Thousands of locals and visitors from afar come to enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of beautiful downtown Coos Bay and surrounding areas for this popular festival. Highlights include live entertainment, the famous Cruz the Coos- featuring nearly 500 vintage automobiles, the Prefontaine Memorial Run, K-DOCK Music Festival, the BAFF parade and much more! Visitors can also enjoy a variety of vendors, arts and crafts and lots of different kinds of food.

A community tradition was born in 1987 when the Friends of Shore Acres decided to "string a few lights" to help celebrate the holidays. That first season, 6,000 miniature lights, one Christmas tree, and the decorated Garden House drew 9,000 visitors. Now, 300,000 LED lights, 30 large landscape lights, dozens of small landscape lights, 26 large holiday trees, dozens of lighted sculptures, entertainment in the pavilion, and a beautifully decorated Garden House draw 40,000 to 50,000+ visitors or more each season
More than 400 classic cars can be seen at this fun filled 3 day event. Friday night beach party, Saturday registration and poker run at the Mill Casino Hotel, Saturday night Cruz the Coos through downtown Coos Bay, and a Sunday show and shine at Shore Acres State Park. This three day event is one of the popular events of the Bay Area Fun Festival
