Very nice park. The water has a smell and has a yellow tint to it. I made a online reservation and then called around 3pm to see about after hours arrival, no answer so I left a message and got no response

Campground is set along a lake within a canopy of shade trees and plenty of amenities to choose from. Campground has clean restrooms and a quaint pool to enjoy. Playground will keep your kids busy. Store is well stocked and has everything you may need if you forgot anything. Staff is friendly and helpful. Right off the interstate for convenience.

We travel every other year and Onawa is one of our favorite KOAs. So peaceful!

no staff on site when i cam in at about 4 pm. signage confusing for directions, if it had not been for a fellow camper helping i would not have found my site.

Great stay and clean facilities, except the site that we were assigned to needs to have gravel added to it. There was a very low area holding a lot of water right where all of our hook ups were, and it was a muddy mess but other than that, it was a good campground and well run.

I arrived for a late check in and the documents were there. it was difficult to find the spot but it was a muddy mess. I felt safe and sound and all services worked properly

Need to fix restrooms to be more handicap accessible. No handicap bars and toilets need to be higher.

Water was brown ,told staff about it and were informed it's well water and they were swaping over the filters should be OK in 30 min ,which it was ,but the next morning same thing.

Nice, peaceful location not far from interstate. Plenty of tall, mature trees. Clean bathrooms. Only negative is the sites are a mixture of rock and dirt that could be interesting after a good rain

Campground was nicely maintained. The staff assisted our check in and also escorted us to our site. The site was level and long. It easy access from the interstate.

The site was muddy, no gravel. It was pretty level. Our site overlooked a field and it was full of bugs flying around. It appeared as though parents and their kids ran this place. The kids were nice, but the parent did not even acknowledge us. Not friendly.

The female manager is very abrasive and not friendly. She can be confrontational. The male manger was helpful and the facility was clean playground and pool nice but lake had been drained and not much fish to catch. Pathway to campground poorly marked and female manager yelled at my wife for driving the wrong way. She then asked us if we were going to have a problem in a threatening manner.

Wonderful kampground! The area is well laid out, clean, and has lots of trees. We had shade for most of the day, and the restroom facilities were clean. If we are ever back in this area, we would definitely book our stay here. Thank you for doing a wonderful job!

Very pleased with my spot. Grass and weeds well-tended. I have a tiny camper and I was able to back up to the lake at a 30A site. Extremely quiet and shaded, bathrooms are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. The camp store is limited, but town isn't far away. WiFi and cell signal (ATT) were good. Will stay again.

Very convenient to highway. Fine for a one night stay. No door mats allowed, even if they were not on grass. Most sites were long term which is not typical, and a bit junky. We had a nice site though. We don't usually return to campgrounds that have seasonal sites, as they are not appealing.

A good place to stop for a night when traveling. They seem to be focused on the long-term folks. Lots of campers that are there for the summer. Only one dog in the K9 area at a time?? Can't use the K9 area unless the office is open? Teens did the checkin. They were pleasant enough. The one adult male inside I saw didn't smile or seem friendly. Bad day? Just generally a sour-puss?

This is a beautiful campground. The campground was easy to locate and our site was easy in and out. There are lots of trees and shade. There was a cool breeze blowing through. We could see the river from our site as well. Enjoyed visiting downtown Onawa which was just up the road. Also crossed the river to eat at a steakhouse in Nebraska which was also really close. Would stay again.

To start the young children that were running the front desk did not make for a easy check in they struggled Biting flys made it impossible to be outdoors bathrooms were fair at best neede a good cleaning

Been a long time since the roads had gravel added. The staff was friendly, welcoming but the property isn’t a good ambassador for the brand. Could not get hot water in shower room.

Very nice campground. Close to the interstate, but not too close to be noisy. Large, level pull through sites. We have stayed here a few times while traveling through. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed a clean, quiet campground with a pool and beautiful views. The bathrooms were immaculate and all of the staff that we encountered were very friendly and welcoming.

We were in site#75 with a lake view. There were small trees and bushes right in front but we had a nice view from the right. Lots of beautiful shade trees. Clean showers and bathrooms. Very quiet and private but not busy. Appeared that most sites were held by seasonal campers

This is a very unique KOA Holidey it's a little more rustic with a lake camp kind of feel which is not a bad thing as far as I am concerned. The restrooms were standard KOA which is to be expected however they were impeccably clean. The children's play area is very nice and looks fairly new. The entire camp is very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The provided Internet was very good and we had zero site issues. The mature shade trees are beautiful and functional. So here is my take and keep in mind only an opinion. This is a great place for a peaceful break with your family, friends and kids but there is some manuvering between the trees so probably not great for just an overnight. A little more gravel on the pads and power washing and painting the picnic tables would be nice.

Great overnight stay even with thunderstorms!! We checked in after hours but all info was left for us on the bulletin board. Pads were level, spot was quiet.
