Very low water pressure in the showers. Also putting a tent camper under a light was not good. 5 other empty tent spaces.

Need to buy a skid steer with front limestone rock tiller: roads in bad shape. The pull through sites for overnight, fill in the “holes” and rock over. Pulling a 60-65 foot rig , tires must go into the holes ( full of rain/mud from recent rain) and rocks the coach. Need shaped wider at turning into the lane, too narrow. Very nice building and clean grounds. Check dead tree branches. Good st

We were traveling through and only stayed one night. We phoned in the reservation and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We arrived near their closing time, but they stayed to make sure we got parked in our site. The site was level and clean. The campground is in a beautiful location that is close to the interstate. Highly recommend.

Both times was ok. Just wish they would open up earlier instead of 9am. Or put a sign when they do. We had some trouble and couldn’t get ahold of anyone till 9. After that they were great took care of the problem and we were off on our way

Campground was peaceful and quiet. Not much traffic going by. Staff led me to the reserved site, and I was connected to services, easily and quickly. Grounds were very clean and trimmed up. Bathroom was very clean.

This was just a quick overnight stay, so we really did not have much time to enjoy all this KOA has to offer but we do plan on coming back for a long stay in the future. The young lady that checked us in as well as the young lady that showed us to our campsite were both very nice. My grandparents use to have a house at Blue Lake, so I have a lot of fond memories of the lake. Excellent facilities.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The park is really tight for big rig. Also super dusty even with generator turned off. Site was level for gravel. Bathroom clean. Great for overnight stay due to close proximity to interstate.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, this is a very peaceful campground with a lovely pool to cool us off on the hottest days! The bathrooms were immaculately clean, and the people there were extremely friendly. We definitely would return.

The owners of this place are the best!!!! We had the best time, were catered to, and got to know the family well. They helped us find site and went above and beyond! We loved the pancake breakfast in the morning too. If we’re ever in need of a stay in Iowa, we’ll for sure come back!

Great people, the young staff and owners. Nice facilities and store. We need to be kind to others and when we're not or when we are we get the same in return. Everyone was very accommodating .

Due to an event, I ended up making 2 reservations-1 for 2 nights+1 for 1 night (I was worried I would lose any spot if I cancelled and rebooked). I called the day of arrival & told the front desk that I had the 2 reservations & to try and merge them into one. The next day I went into the office & personally said the same thing, both times acknowledged. But they didn't do it & expected me to move.

It was a very convenient campground right off the highway for a quick one night stop. The shower house was quite spacious. The lake was down and the dock is too high out of the water but the kids enjoyed trying to fish a little from the beach anyway while I fixed dinner and got the beds ready. I really think this is a good campground for locals to come for with family to enjoy pool and play park.

One of the best campgrounds I have stayed at, and I have stayed at many many campgrounds. Beautiful. large sites, some on the lake. A very nice dog walking area. It is quite a distance from the Interstate, so quiet. I have marked the Onawa KOA for a longer stay next year!!!!

Very nice small campground. The staff were great. The campsites were shady and well spaced out. The lake was also a nice benefit. Our site had great views of the lake. I would highly recommend when traveling thru Iowa.

Very CLEAN, well run and quiet camp. Staff was very helpful too! This was our 1st outing in our new travel trailer and we had a great time celebrating our 42nd anniversary.

On our four day stay at onawa blue lake koa. Friendly staff, amazing swimming pool. Clean restrooms. The girls in the office would swing firewood over to the campsite. Thank you for having us...

Nothing fancy, but a pleasant camp. Site next to lake was peaceful, all sites have mature trees. No fly or mosquito problems. Bathrooms and showers were adequate and well maintained. We didn’t rent any lake toys, but they’re a nice option for anyone staying more than overnight. My granddaughter loved the slide.

This is a very unique KOA Holidey it's a little more rustic with a lake camp kind of feel which is not a bad thing as far as I am concerned. The restrooms were standard KOA which is to be expected however they were impeccably clean. The children's play area is very nice and looks fairly new. The entire camp is very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The provided Internet was very good and we had zero site issues. The mature shade trees are beautiful and functional. So here is my take and keep in mind only an opinion. This is a great place for a peaceful break with your family, friends and kids but there is some manuvering between the trees so probably not great for just an overnight. A little more gravel on the pads and power washing and painting the picnic tables would be nice.

Great overnight stay even with thunderstorms!! We checked in after hours but all info was left for us on the bulletin board. Pads were level, spot was quiet.
