The park was very helpful and got us a spot when we needed emergency accommodations. They were upfront about their water, which allowed us to choose the best option for us. We were there after season but it looked to be a nice spot for summer activities.

Very difficult for long RV’s to navigate the roads. Lots of trees and metal poles near roadways. Very poor lighting at night.

What can I say about this place other than the campground is quaint cozy and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Amenities are close in proximity if they don't have it in their well-stocked store. The lake offers fishing, kayaking, boating. The campground offers plenty of shady spots. Great place to camp for the weekend or overnight.

The campground was one of the best we stayed at. The facilities were great. The staff awesome and the location was perfect for where we were going.

This is an older campground therefore the access to the sites is very tight for longer campers. The sites themselves we graveled, however the turn-in into the site needed aggregate, our camper's rear leveling jack drug in the mud. The young staff was cheerful and helpful. Overall the campground was clean and sites maintained.

The campground was fine. We only stayed one night. We arrived just over an hour before their check in time and I was told we would have to pay $5. When I said wow, I have never had to pay extra at any KOA, one of the ladies at the desk got rather smart with me and asked if I had read my check n email and if I did, I would know check in was at 3. We paid the $5. Her attitude continued.

The camping cabin was clean, well made, and nicely located. The bathrooms were nearby and clean, unfortunately the description that the cabin was equipped with TV and air conditioning wasn’t as expected. You could only watch TV if you had a subscription to an app. The air only worked part time. The area had a lot of rain so the camping area was a mud hole. The mosquitoes were bad everywhere

Our stay would have been much better if the site had adequate gravel to cover the mud and water puddles. We were told we couldn’t put a small welcome mat on the ground in front of our RV door. Overall, the Blue Lake KOA could use some upgrades.

The 2 teenage girls at check in were awesome. Sweet, friendly and led us via golf cart safely to our site. Our site was good, but because there were so many other open sites, (which would’ve given us more private space between other campers) it would have been greatly appreciated to have been elsewhere. All in all nice place. We loved the proximity across the highway where geese were feeding

Our stay was what we expected from a KOA. Clean, comfortable, with very friendly owners and staff. We had low fencing for our chihuahuas and although not officially allowed, cleared it with the person that led us to our site. And the kids working that weekend were great! And they even had Walking Tacos on Saturday night!

The staff of this KOA were very nice and accommodating. Large trees covered the campground and it was very nice to see they support local youth organizations as we arrived and saw a group selling walk around tacos as a fund raiser. The were tight turns on the way to the campsite that rubbed limbs along the side of the RV and there is a need for several loads of gravel on the road and sites.

What a pleasant staff greeted us at check-in! Most adults do not conduct themselves as professionally as these two teenagers. The camp, restrooms & laundry were very clean, the many trees appreciated. The young man who escorted us to our site was efficient & observant of any possible obstacles. Thank you hosts for a great stay!

We have stayed at Onawa KOA many times and probably will in the future. Always clean and the sites are pretty close to level.

We had a very pleasant stay at this KOA! It is as older, but very pretty and well kept. The 2 younger people working in the office were very polite and helpful. The sites we stayed in were very close, but we traveled in the off season and they were using every other site and we had plenty of room. Our dog liked the dog park! It is close to a rural road with lots of farm equipment going by.

This park was quiet while being conveniently close to the freeway. It was clean and quiet. We stayed in a Class A towing a Jeep with dogs. It had recently rained and had a lot of muddy areas so be ready to navigate this. No access to the lake from the RV park.

This is a very unique KOA Holidey it's a little more rustic with a lake camp kind of feel which is not a bad thing as far as I am concerned. The restrooms were standard KOA which is to be expected however they were impeccably clean. The children's play area is very nice and looks fairly new. The entire camp is very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The provided Internet was very good and we had zero site issues. The mature shade trees are beautiful and functional. So here is my take and keep in mind only an opinion. This is a great place for a peaceful break with your family, friends and kids but there is some manuvering between the trees so probably not great for just an overnight. A little more gravel on the pads and power washing and painting the picnic tables would be nice.

Great overnight stay even with thunderstorms!! We checked in after hours but all info was left for us on the bulletin board. Pads were level, spot was quiet.
