Onawa/Blue Lake KOA went above and beyond. They ensured that I was in a great site with shade and near the restrooms/showers (have a teardrop trailer). Everything was clean and showers were hot. Being right on the lake, it was beautiful. Easy to get back on the highway, but quiet.

Very nice and clean campground. Spacious pull through spot. Pool was wonderful after a long travel day. Looks like Lake would be great if it was higher, docks not in the water. Needs some drainage around the sites as there had been a lot of rain and there were lakes happening. Definitely would stay again if in the area.

Interior Roads were very muddy with deep puddles of water all over. Could not even walk my dog through some of the roads. Needs more gravel. Otherwise very nice camp.

Overall, it was great. The only complaint is, the mud holes need filled in. We were parked in a mudhole and our friends were really in a mud hole.

Pros: Store staff very friendly, mostly shaded spots. Nice walking path around camp and pond. Good for overnight quick stay if needed. Cons: Facilities outdated and somewhat run down. Not well kept (Store, pool, restroom). A lot of mud and puddles.

Not a typical KOA. Junky long term sites. Our firepit had cigarette butts and trash upon arrival. Check in is too late. Rules are excessive with “fines” posted. Not a KOA vibe. Front desk staff was very friendly and rates were reasonable.

Feel like children were running the place the upkeep of the grounds was not good at all the space between campsites was horrible our picnic table was on our neighbor's site there was only around 4 ft The neighbors water was right next to our picnic table this KOA should not be considered a holiday there was not enough amenities

I was disappointed in my stay at this KOA. The discription of the site states that we could fish, watch sunsets ect directly from the site. While we could see the lake we had no access to fish as the overgrown brush made it impossible to even get to the water. I do understand that the lake was low due to droughts but there was still zero way to access the lake front from our site. I chose this

We enjoyed our 4 nights there. We enjoyed being close to the Lewis & Clark State Park. The scenic loops were amazing to ride. Good location off the highway. Nice pool and very clean bathrooms

Would have liked to see better access to lake! Boat ramp looked like hasn't been used in years. Over all nice place, would recommend to anyone. Nice pool and staff are friendly.

Cute park with friendly service, lots of shade, and some spots have a lake view. The only caution, if you must or desire satellite, star link, etc, there are a lot of trees. We did not require the need of our star link, so the park was excellent for our needs, and the location was a great resting stop for us.

Will NEVER stay here again. 3 teenagers doing the check in the office. We arrived during bad winds making it unsafe to continue our journey for the day. The roads to our site were narrow, tree branches brushing the sides of the rig. The site was not clean. Lots of bird droppings on the picnic table. Someone in office chg'd email info on our account. Most likely so we could get this review email.

Would have been rated higher if we’d been given side by side sites as requested months ago. So far this is the only campground that failed on that point.

Very nice campground! It would be good if pets were required to be on leashes. I say this because not all pets are friendly to other animals if they approach ones who are leashed. My pet reacts in fright to others dogs who approach. I know most people are not aware and the other dog is curious or just wants to play. Unfortunately it is a common thing. We loved our one night! Thank you!

Third stay here and has always been great. Check in was a breeze. Young adults at check in had all the right answers and were very helpful. The pool is well kept. We were able to purchase propane. We didn't have kids with us but noticed how nice the playground area was. Laundry was clean and worked fine. Nice fire pits. Easy access off the interstate. Close to carwash and 2 gas stations. Look forward to staying here again as we drive back to Canada after snowbirding in Florida.

Beautiful park, location. Updated bathrooms. Level sites, nice fire pit. The family staff was articulate and thorough. Truly a pleasure to deal with. I wish them the best.
