Quiet campground, helpful staff, long pull thru sites that allow you to stay hooked up to the tow vehicle if you're departing the next morning. Beautiful view of the lake. Clean pool and facilities.

Friendly staff! Large sites. We onlyhad a stop over of one night, but with the lake and pool this would be a nice weekend trip for some campers.

Our stay was excellent, however the permanent resident to the south was a little loud when we were trying to sleep after 10 pm. The loudness didn't last long though.

We almost didn’t stay here bc of a few bad reviews-SO glad we did. It was the nicest KOA we’ve ever been to. Brand new playground and pool was crystal clear! I spoke to the owner quite a bit, great guy and a true family man. Happy to see speed limit enforced!! Lake is beautiful and campground quiet and peaceful. Will be back for sure. Never again will we rely on reviews!

Came in just after hours. Late arrival process was easy and the host saw us and led us to our site. Campground mostly full of long timers so it wasn’t as “campy” as were used to.

I have a big rig unit. The staff were very accomodating to make sure the site fit my rig and that it was easy to get in and out of. Great experience all around.

The staff was great. Our purpose for this trip was to fish, but that was a failure. The lake was down about 6 feet due to lack of rain, and it was very hot for most of the stay. Mother Nature is in command while the government thinks it can be fixed. Otherwise, we still enjoyed ourselves.

Everything was great except the water pressure in the shower was terrible. I was very disappointed. Also, the 110 outlets on the post did not work. We were told we only were allowed to use the 30 amp breaker.

Sites WAY to close together!! Seems like the place very much caters to long term renters. Pool was filled with older adults that clearly come everyday and know each other. Will never be back!

We had a great spot right on the lake. Campsite was a nice size and was clean. Dog park was great for our 3 large dogs to run around in and the bathrooms were clean with decent showers. Staff was friendly.

The site was very tight. I couldn't even bring out my awning. The sewer pipe was so far from the water that without a sewer hose extension I could not reach. The store supplies were very limited. I was hoping to buy something for breakfast but alas there was nothing. Not even milk.

Wow—our first time camping at a KOA and the service, cleanliness, and overall experience is exceptional! The Onawa KOA is very scenic, plenty to do, everyone was so helpful and friendly, and we very much enjoyed our stay. We will be back again soon—thank you!

Arrived early and was told we could wait on the highway or for $10 more we could go on in. Tent camper next to us said he had to pay $5 extra for each kid he had.

Email confirmation clearly states our check in policy, sorry you didn't want to pay. Guests are per fee, explained in rules on site map, website.

Third stay here and has always been great. Check in was a breeze. Young adults at check in had all the right answers and were very helpful. The pool is well kept. We were able to purchase propane. We didn't have kids with us but noticed how nice the playground area was. Laundry was clean and worked fine. Nice fire pits. Easy access off the interstate. Close to carwash and 2 gas stations. Look forward to staying here again as we drive back to Canada after snowbirding in Florida.

Beautiful park, location. Updated bathrooms. Level sites, nice fire pit. The family staff was articulate and thorough. Truly a pleasure to deal with. I wish them the best.
