I won't say the Staff is friendly but efficient. The Groundskeeper stated we were not allowed to have a dog pen because he was mowing the next day and it was in the guidelines. Review of the guidelines proved this was false and NOT prohibited. The site was weeds and mud. NO grass. Empty site next to us had a dead animal for 2-days. Groundskeeper ignored it. Glad we shortened our stay.

We were traveling home to NC. Called campground . They assured us they would find a spot for us even though they were pretty full. Office staff especially nice , friendly , and helpful. The owners son even completed and gave me my own KOA membership card which I did not have. Owner escorted us to our sight.

The faucet at this campground leaked and caused a puddle that we had to drive through so all the truck tires and all the fifth wheel tires were very muddy. Also, the staff is very unfriendly to dog people. They have had problems in the past which has caused the attitude but I am very careful that my dogs do not bother anyone and I always clean up after my dogs.

A female employee (who was not wearing any KOA shirt or ID) blocked our truck as we were preparing to back into the site where our trailer was parked and rudely asked to see our car pass. This was uncalled for and left a poor impression of your campground. We will not be back.

It was a nice quiet and clean campground. Far enough away from the interstate that you didn't hear any traffic noise. Lots of permanent sites, so there werent all that many people there on a Monday night. The weekends would probably be much different... This was our third time staying there on the way back from the Black Hills. We will stay there again..

Nice stop over on our way to South. Finally a KOA that had an open pool but it rained most of the stay.

Clean and well-maintained. Low key environment that was relaxing. Neighboring highway traffic was annoying at times (loud pickup trucks driving fast by the campground).

The Shower water pressure was very low, and I was the only one showering. There are also a lot of signs saying what you cannot do, which doesn't make the place feel as inviting as other KOA's I've been to. The scenery of the lake was nice. Lastly, the staff was very nice and helpful.

Site 14 is absolute muddy mess. We’ve never stayed at at KOA that the sites looked this. You need extensively more gravel. The sites themselves are extremely narrow, even though we booked an XXL site. Staff were exceptional and very friendly. The area sites need to be improved. Extreme amount of long term campers took away from the aesthetic of the area.

The space was nice and we may return, but grass was limited and it rained so we had a big mud hole right at bottom of camper steps and all around the table. It was mainly the two slots we had where all the water sat, other spots looked better. Not being allowed to use mats or rugs when we basically have a mudhole was not a good experience and outside was not utilized much. Bugs were also bad.

Beautiful tent site on the lake. Nice well kept campground. Only suggestion is check the water pressure in the shower. Would still stay here again.

Reserved based on beautiful photos found the campsite was no where near the same. Dirtiest campsite I have ever been on, lake was more of a mosquito haven. Filled dogs water dish and found a lot of rust i the bottom of dish. Couldn’t get out fast enough.

There was no one there to pump propane even though there is no requirement in Iowa for any formalized training or license to pump it...ended up going to a good Sam campground on my way out of town to get propane. I also did not get an email receipt..

Our second stay -- both very good, in spite of cloudy, cool weather. This time we appreciated the check-in process and being led to a less muddy site (on the lake) by the gal who guided us. (Neither site was very muddy.) Very thoughtful.

Enjoyed the rest time. Watched travelers come in and leave. Good place to stop along the road and recoop. We've been traveling from wintering in Texas, now heading out to enjoy our beautiful countryside. Koas are a good resting stop. With friendly people. This one is one of the better ones.

Restroom dirty, cobwebs in corners of bathroom and in the showers also. Very run down, needs to be updated. Wouldn't recommend going here.

Third stay here and has always been great. Check in was a breeze. Young adults at check in had all the right answers and were very helpful. The pool is well kept. We were able to purchase propane. We didn't have kids with us but noticed how nice the playground area was. Laundry was clean and worked fine. Nice fire pits. Easy access off the interstate. Close to carwash and 2 gas stations. Look forward to staying here again as we drive back to Canada after snowbirding in Florida.

Beautiful park, location. Updated bathrooms. Level sites, nice fire pit. The family staff was articulate and thorough. Truly a pleasure to deal with. I wish them the best.
