Wonderfully friendly staff that worked hard to make sure our stay was pleasant. From booking over the phone months ago, to check-in, to the pancake breakfast…everything was great! We even had several employees ask if there was anything we needed to make our stay better. If we can get the heat index down from 109 next year, that would be nice ;-)

Best Service at a Campground! We had 2 staff greeting and shaking our hands the moment we pulled up to the office. Moises graciously showed us to our campsite and helped my husband back the trailer in. Bathrooms + showers at the Alta House are SO clean, comfortable and available at 10pm after I arrived back at the Campgrounds from a long hot day at the Racetrack. Pancake breakfast on Saturday!

This is a small, well kept campground. The staff is extremely friendly and truly goes out of their way to make your stay perfect. The sites were level. The playground and pool were great for the kids. They had a shuttle to the Iowa Speedway which was great. There are tons of things to do around their area. I highly recommend this campground.

The people are so very nice and acomadating the shuttle was great to go to the concerts and race Clarence was great! Enjoyed the nice clean swimming pool also will be back with grandkids

One of the most friendliest KOA I’ve ever stayed at everyone is very nice. They did a great job and accommodating my needs for the camper space on such short notice super friendly staff even delivered the firewood for us. Great people Great service with a smile.

Very friendly staff. Thank you Maria for helping me out looking for bathrooms. On that note, there should be bathroom codes for safety and updated. The pool should have been available to swim. Hope in the future this campground updates their sites with concrete slabs as well as nice patio sites. Picnic tables are awful! Let customers know you need a water regulator before they arrive.

Great little campground. Staff were very friendly. Highway is very close so there is some noise. There was a repair being made during our stay. The highway department place some rub strips in one lane that were hit by some of the passing trucks. It was annoying, but not the campgrounds fault. Thank goodness it will be temporary.

Only downside was hearing so much of the interstate traffic. We had a good time and enjoyed all other aspects of the KOA had to offer.

The staff is so friendly and accommodating! Special recognition to Moses and Jose! They went above and beyond the call of duty to care for us! We came on a special weekend and experienced a free delicious pancake breakfast, wine tasting and fireworks! There are so many activities to keep the kiddos entertained from basketball and swimming to train rides and playgrounds. We will definitely be back!

The Host at reception was very friendly - 5 Star. The road to the site should have been better maintained, but a tree branch scratched the entire top of my MH, so there was no way to avoid it. - 1 star The site was understandably noisy because KOA is located next to the interstate. While this was expected, it affects the overall camping experience, hence the 3-star Rating.

Yo close to the road. Sites were only adequate and my very muddy. Could have put us in one of many vacant spots. The lady working the desk made us feel as though we were bothering her. Would not stay here again.

Sites are too small, price is too high for for one gets. Most campgrounds include up to 6 people. I had to pay extra for my son"s. I would only stay at a KOA again if it is for just a overnight and there were no other options. Next year I will stay at the county park outside of town for my visit to Newton. The staff were friendly and did a great job. The above rating is for the campground.

Very hard to to number ratings. The KOA is designed for families with kids and is well equipped for that purpose with their activities, etc. Personnel are very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are above average. Advised need for high pressure water regulator. The biggest drawback is the very tight and small pull through spaces for campers. We had to pull in our awning for the next site to fit

Campground was clean as usual. Not sure about the new owners, not as friendly as previous owners. I was overcharged for my stay and they would not resolve the problem. But, I'm sure we will return the location is ideal for us.

Great park with lots to do. Enjoyed the disc golf on site. All staff was friendly and helpful. Our site was long enough for our truck and 43’ fifth wheel. Our only complaint was the noise from I80 but was to be expected with as easy on and off as it was.

Moises and Jose were very pleasant and welcoming. Both were very friendly and neither made us feel like inconveniencing them like you can feel as some campgrounds.

Nice campground with friendly staff. A bit noisy being next to the interstate but otherwise a good spot. Made a day trip into Newton and found a great little brewery. Have stayed here 3 times in the past few years. A convenient location when traveling through the area.

This campground is beautiful. Lots of things to do around the camp ground. Disc golf, a fishing pond, and even a Dog Park for your. Oh and don't forget the in ground swimming pool. I absolutely love working for this facility, so many friendly faces, and everyone is always smiling. Highly recommend making reservations here.

Very friendly and beautiful Rv Park. We only stopped for 1 night on way home but next time may extend going through. Also food in area delivers to RV which is nice after a long day of driving!

We loved our time at the Newton KOA! Vintage Row was so adorable and perfect for our group of families to enjoy the weekend! The staff was top notch and treated us like royalty! The kids loved the crafts, playground and fishing in the pond. We can't wait to go back and check out the new Yellowstone Row at the Waukee KAO! Thank you for hosting us Dana, Moses, and the entire tram at the KAO! You are the best!
