From I-40: Take Exit 432 to 25W-70, then 1 mile to KOA on right.
From I-81: Take Exit 8 to 25E south for 12 miles, then right on 25W-70 to KOA 1/3 mile on left.

Technically located just across the NC state line, this famous bald offers an easy 1.5-mile loop with panoramic 360-degree views of the Smokies. It’s the ultimate sunset spot.
A moderate 4.4-mile round-trip hike winding through beautiful hemlock and rhododendron forests, ending at a beautiful 90-foot waterfall.
Looking for a challenge? This strenuous 11-mile hike rewards you with a historic Western-style fire lookout tower and jaw-dropping views of the Pigeon River Gorge.
