Great place to stay. Very clean. All the hosts go out of their way to make sure you have everything for an enjoyable outing. We are already planning a return visit to the area and we will definitely be camping at this KOA again.

The campground was beautiful and quaint! The people were very friendly and helpful, as well. The campground was much nicer than I expected from a "Journey" location- the managers and other caretakers obviously enjoy their jobs and have pride in their work.

While most folks talk about the campsites, it’s the people and staff who make the campground and the Newberry folks are great! That’s what bring you back!

The facility was clean and well-kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Every staff member spoke to us and gave the impression that they really appreciated us choosing to stay with them.

Nice level site, friendly staff, quiet location off Interstate (although county access road is quite narrow, but not busy, so big rigs take note). Laundry and bathrooms nice and clean.

Love this KOA. We've been staying here for years, prior to it becoming a KOA and are loving all of the improvements. The owners have turned a sandy stop over to a park we look forward to coming back to. We always enjoy seeing the seasonal decorations, too.

I can’t remember camp workers name. She was amazing helpful and kind. She brought our pizza to the campsite. It wasn’t bad for frozen. Thanks for hosting us�.

I love staying with you at KOA. Your team is so friendly and so helpful and makes it I feel like I’m at home. I can go over the store and hang and talk with people. Wonderful, thanks for the pleasant visit. We do it every year.

We have been staying with Newberry koa for several years , different times of the year… have always enjoyed our time… We only had one complaint this year , my granddaughter had reserved the handicap cabin last October 2024 while we were there for this October 2025 , to find out y’all put her in a travel trailer ( that wasn’t even there in 2024) there was 6 of us that know she had rented

The campground is well kept and has great staff. I really appreciate that they called to offer me a site upgrade when someone left a day early and a better site became available at the last minute.

The park is great! It’s beautiful, easy to get in and out of, and there’s a lot of activities. It’s convenient to 17 which will take you wherever you want to go.

A stop over for us to & from South Fl and the NC mountains. Super convenient to I-26. We have stayed here multiple times. Always super clean and the nicest staff. We will be back on our next trip to the mountains.

Stayed at several RV campgrounds this is the best campground we have stayed in. I would not change a thing. Salt water pool very clean well kept. Grounds were maintained . Pizza and wings were great. Plenty of activities for kids. Staff treated us like family. Loved the Gnome theme. We didn't find a reason to leave the campground and explore the surrounding area. We had everything we needed here.

This camp ground is incredibly clean and the staff are extremely helpful. We left something and they gave us a call and went through the trouble of sending it back! They went above and beyond expectations. They also had a scavenger hunt for the kids that kept them busy and happy! Thank you!

This is labeled as a KOA Journey but it should be a KOA Resort!!!It's right on the expressway so we used it as an overnight stop on the way to Myrtle Beach, but I could easily see families spending a weekend or even a week here. The staff is incredible, the sites are level and beautifully landscaped. There is everything you need from a pool to a playground. A solid 5 stars and still working on improvements. We camped at Newberry / I-26 / Sumter NF KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
