We once again had a very nice stay! The Halloween decorations were great and as usual the whole staff is always friendly and helpful. We loved playing Halloween bingo!!!!

It was wonderful. We have never stayed at a place where even the other campers were welcoming and friendly. We didn't get a chance to do the scavenger hunt but we sure will the next time.

Never have we seen a camp ground come out after someone leaves to CCleaner the campsite for the next person to come in. It was fun looking for The Gnomes and pumpkins

We were very pleased with our visit. We needed an overnight spot near the interstate on our way to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The Newberry/Sumter KOA was a good stop - midway to our destination.

Hosts Stan and Mary Ellen Ambroe were very friendly and attentive to all our needs. They provided a weekend full of activities, including hayrides, a golf cart parade, chainsaw carving and a chili supper! We appreciated their e-mail reminders of the various events, as well as their organization of the activities. The campground was very well kept and clean. A fun and memorable stay!

I love Harvey the RV! Have stayed there several times and, as usual, it was another fantastic stay. This campground is a real gem. The owners and workers are wonderful and do all they can to make your stay enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back!!!

Extremely nice staff. Very clean. I stayed in a patio pull through. It was 90 bucks a night. It was very nice and very level. The park does. Not have cable and over the air reception is poor. We are able to stream so it was not a huge issue, but for that price they need to supply cable.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We're sorry that you didn't have good reception!(The trees can block the signal.) If we installed cable, then all of our sites' rates would need to be $90-$100/night, instead of $50-$60. (The patio sites would go up to $125-$135/night.)That's why we invested, instead, into fiberoptic Wi-Fi.

This was our third stay at this KOA with our three grandsons, and we would definitely stay here again in the future. There is plenty for the kids to do and lots of room to roam. This campground is very well maintained and the staff is friendly and attentive.

We only stayed one night but definitely will be back for a longer stay. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Our site was nice and level.

We were late getting to the campground. The folks there were awesome! They helped us get settled and came over with firewood and chatted with us while we had a cocktail and wound down from a very long day. We'll stay there again when we're in the area.

Our stay was amazing as always. The owners are very welcoming, and friendly. The store was open and always someone there to answer questions and ring up our purchases. The mini donuts and pizza were incredible. Everyone enjoyed it. I left behind a few things and they put them aside for us. The decor outside was very appealing. All the staff were excellent! Our spot was fantastic, pull in and pull out. The overall campground was clean and organized. The gnomes were everywhere and just fun. ;o)

Everyone that we dealt with was amazing! We stopped in for one night on the way home from a beach vacation and I almost think we may have enjoyed the one night here more than the week at the beach! The activities were wonderful - the campsites were VERY clean and the campground as a whole was clean, organized and well-decorated. The staff was great and were such a pleasure - good pizza as well!

Just stopped for the night would have liked to experience more of the campground activities. Only down side was the site. Not level and close to the main road other than that it was a pleasant stay

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Apologies! As we note on our website, the back-in sites are along Fairview Church Road. These sites are meant for smaller campers, like vans, truck campers, and pop-ups, that are easy to level. Hopefully, you'll be able to stay longer next time!

We enjoyed our stay at the Newberry KOA! It is a lovely campground, neat and clean and lots of things to do. The fall and Halloween decorations were fantastic!

We needed a quick stopover to rest from hours of rain. The staff was very accommodating and found us an easy pull through. The store and check in was quick and had anything we might need including beer and wine. Bathrooms were very clean and nice too.

We had a great time at our stay at Newberry KOA. Met up with some family members for birthday celebrations. Newberry KOA staff were fantastic and the campground and facilities were clean and well kept! A lot of activities for children! Would be an excellent overnight if you are traveling I-26.

Nice smaller KOA less than a mile off US26. There's a BP gas station when you get off the exit. This is an old school campground like the ones I grew up with. Looks like a family run outfit, too, which is nice. I have to say the staff made our stay they were very friendly and a pleasure to talk with. What they lack in size, they make up with a family feel and they plan small events to keep the little ones occupied if you have kids, The store is very reasonably priced, unlike a lot of other KOAs we stayed at. They also offer a small menu, including pizza, which was also reasonably priced. As such, we ordered the wings small but very tasty. we also purchased 2 extra large sleeping shirts for the ladies and 1 buck naked short for me. Totaling under $70. Where other KOAs it would be at least double that price. Definitely would stop here again.
