We have camped here five times now and love this friendly, clean, pet friendly campground. The staff and owners go out of their way to help in any way and make you feel welcomed. We will be returning in the near future. Thank you Newberry KOA.

We just pulled in for the night and didn't use the bathhouse, so can't comment. However, Susie, who helped us was fantastic. She knew we were just traveling through and would like a spot that wouldn't require us to unhook on. She made that suggestion and we jumped on it, not having to unhook would be great. She looked at the spots she had available and put us on the best one for that situation.

Great employees and service. Beautiful surroundings and nature, yet very nice amenities. If KOA gets it right, they have a wonderful charm and feel about them. KOA Newberry definitely got it right!

This is one of the cleanest and best maintained campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at, it is a beautiful & quaint setting. Would definitely recommend!

This was the second time we stopped within a week for an overnight stay. It is quiet, people are friendly and clean. One of the ladies remembered us from the first stay and asked about the rally we had been to. The gnome hunt is a fun game even in the rain.

The grounds for meticulously maintained, staff was very friendly The ladies restroom was an amazing accommodation and in sterile condition. There’s lots to do there for children, including a huge playground, swimming pool, etc. Snack shop in the office pizza, etc, covered facilities for large groups, including grills etc. This would make a great vacation destination for a family reunion

This is a great campground Even though we only stay for one night each time we go, the staff is fantastic, and faculties are very clean. They are always making improvements to the campground.

My wife and I enjoyed the months we stayed at the Newberry I26 KOA. The owners have only been there a few years but really know how to operate a KOA. All the staff were eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. When ever I needed propane or something from the store, great Pizza and Wings, it only took a wave of my hand or phone call to get fast service. I cannot say enough how we enjoyed it

The only thing I had problem with is the gnats in the morning. They were absolutely terrible.

We are so sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay, but thanks for calling attention to the gnats. No one's ever mentioned a problem with them. We did have a big rain storm, which will bring out the mosquitoes which is why the campground is treated every 3 weeks.

Staff was very friendly and gave great info liked that we could get order a hot meal pizza from the kitchen and it be delivered steamy hot fresh from the oven . Site was easy to get into and level and to exit easily .Bathrooms were clean with no odors and campground was neat grass mowed and clean no debris scattered .We would absolutely use the campground again if in the area !

This is a nice, clean KOA. The owners/staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. There’s horseshoe pits, a pool, ga-ga ball pit, playground equipment for kids. There’s also a pavilion for a large gathering. There are grills inside. They are in the process of adding a fishing pond and cabins. There are two clean shower stalls in the restrooms. Very comfortable, clean and cute KOA.

Stayed in the magnolia cabin. It was very nice very clean, but there was a lot of noise from the highway 26 and the road right next to the campground very depressed area coming into the campsite. The house across the street looked a little shady made me feel a little uncomfortablecampground is very clean I was charged $75 extra after I checked out due to having my three dogs with me.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

I'm sorry that you didn't fully enjoy your stay; the majority of guests, including females travelling alone, feel safe very here. Our pet policy in the cabin is very clear--$25 per dog. Maximum 2. The fee covers hours spent to guarantee any future guests with allergies will not have any issues.

Stayed at several RV campgrounds this is the best campground we have stayed in. I would not change a thing. Salt water pool very clean well kept. Grounds were maintained . Pizza and wings were great. Plenty of activities for kids. Staff treated us like family. Loved the Gnome theme. We didn't find a reason to leave the campground and explore the surrounding area. We had everything we needed here.

This camp ground is incredibly clean and the staff are extremely helpful. We left something and they gave us a call and went through the trouble of sending it back! They went above and beyond expectations. They also had a scavenger hunt for the kids that kept them busy and happy! Thank you!

This is labeled as a KOA Journey but it should be a KOA Resort!!!It's right on the expressway so we used it as an overnight stop on the way to Myrtle Beach, but I could easily see families spending a weekend or even a week here. The staff is incredible, the sites are level and beautifully landscaped. There is everything you need from a pool to a playground. A solid 5 stars and still working on improvements. We camped at Newberry / I-26 / Sumter NF KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
