We were unsure about how the cabin would work for us with the weather being so hot (90's) and no air conditioning. Yes it was warm during parts of the day when there was no breeze but were pleasantly surprised how well it worked out for us. We have no hesitation about coming here again!

I paid about $20 more than I would have to stay at the Marina Side in Bear Lake and I would have been okay with it had the pool been up and running. I could have had a bathroom and lots of amenities for the rate I paid, if I’d stayed in Bear Lake instead, so that was very disappointing. The bathrooms were broken or out of toilet paper as well.

Ihavegonehere4 previous years and was awesome. This year was a different story. I was charged at one cabin for 4 adults and 8 kids. Its was me and my wife and 2 kids. I rented another cabin for my aunt from out of town and was charged for 4 adults on the receipt.The garbage had at leas 50-70 bags all around the dumpster and the dumpster over flowing.The bathrooms were gross extremely dirty. POOR

We stay there every year. This year they must have changed ownership. There was never anyone in the office. The pool was out of order. Had to call a number to get help with anything, because noone was ever in the office. The cabins weren't as clean. We won't be back. The old owners spoiled us I guess.

I booked a specific cabin for July 2-4, been going there for 10 plus years and when we arrived they said specific cabins could not be booked,lied. they are new owners, the place was dirty and they didn't spray for bugs, afraid to shower because it was so dirty! I took pictures... The lady was rude and I rate this trip less than a zero!!! So much more to say but I've wasted my time already....

Trash cans around the campground we full when we got there on Friday afternoon and we're still overflowing when we left Saturday at around 10. Men's restroom was out of soap and the woman's restroom was out of toilet paper our entire stay.

This place has lots of potential. Nice and friendly people recently bought the place and there is some work to be done to bring it to KOA standards (which they appear to be working on). Not alot of amenities for families with kids at this point. The place was very clean though. I would stay there again.

We had heard so much about this camp site from friends who stay yearly but we all were pretty disappointed after this trip. Our cabin didn’t appear to be very clean, especially the bathroom. Food was left in the cabinets from the previous guest and there were ants everywhere. It also had a urine smell inside. It was also pretty disappointing to not be able to use the swimming pool.

Staff at Montpelier are excellent to work with however the rate increases will limit our visits and future referrals. The 4 rating is due to the bathrooms. For almost a week there was hair in the sinks and on the floor. People need to clean up after themselves but since they do not the bathrooms need to be checked regularly. We love this campground and will miss our yearly visits..

It is so much cleaner. Host are very nice. Thanks for letting us check in a couple hours early. Still a work in progress for the better. Wish the pool had been up and running. Had a very relaxing weekend.

Our regular cabin was very clean and we really appreciated our host. And they were very friendly and very accommodating. We didn't particularly like the mattress LOL but that seems to be a given. This is a beautiful friendly campground away from noise and bustle. There are a couple nice short trails that follow the creek. Management was helpful and welcoming. This is a gem amongst KOAs. The area around Montpelier is stunning with a bird/wildlife center about 8 miles away.

We stayed in a cabin without a bathroom I thought it would be a problem but it wasn’t very far to the bathroom. Nice facilities there. We enjoyed the swing and the fire pit. We enjoyed the nature walk by the river. The pool was not warm enough but they said it was heated it was freezing. And the pool could be better clean and maintained. Other than that it was great, close to the town.

Bathrooms very dirty. Pool is in bad shape. Owners sons truck parked in common area. Food trailer is a bad eyesore. Ducks and chickens is a very nice touch, enjoyed them.

we have been to more than 12 koa's and this is our favorite. Great service and lots to do in camp and outside camp. Large mature trees giving lots of shade. Nice swiming pool, pingpong,pool table. walking trails great.

Stayed in big cabin 2 and water temp for the shower was very unstable. Grounds were a little less nicely kept compared to prior years. Over all no major complaints. Will be back next year.

I had stayed at rhis KOA on two previous occasions. The maintenance, groundskeeping and cleanliness has certainly fallen off. Example: bought a bag of ice-the host seemingly proudly proclaims that the ice is outside because the inside freezer quit working on the Fourth of July-TWO YEARS AGO! Great location. Stayed in a cabin facing the creek but the vegetation was so over grown couldn't see it.

We’ve stayed here 3 years in a row for a week long trip to spend our days at Bear Lake. We rent the cabin with a bathroom and a cabin without. I take my kids and grandkids. The cabin with no bathroom is so peaceful right next to the creek!! The bathroom and showers are very clean! Our other cabin had lots of space for us to eat together and play games. The covered porch is the BEST part!

Loved staying here. It was tucked away yet a beautiful area. I liked the fun amenities around camp. Simple and quick check in and friendly staff. Would stay there again.

What a disgusting mess! The door handles, floors, faucets, toilets, showers, you name it, it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. The grounds are overgrown and unkempt, the pool is questionable, the "petting zoo" behind the trash is inhumane and gross, and the bathrooms were NEVER cleaned the entire visit. We used to love coming here.

Bathroom in our cabin was filthy. Toilet, sink, tub hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. Used condom on the floor. Pool pump/filter broken w/debris floating in pool. Paths overgrown. Garbage overflowing. At entrance managers have a dirty pen of chickens/turkeys with horrible stench. We stayed 2 yrs ago and things were clean/working, not this year. Won’t be back to this location. Very disappoint

Stayed here in 2016 and had dreams of staying here again. My first impression driving up was...This is not what I remembered or see online. I was confused. I looked over to the kids playground with weeds everywhere growing 2-3 ft tall. Is this real? It reminded me of the abandoned pictures of Chernobyl. To the left of the front door of the KOA main office was an empty Roundup sprayer and a ladder.

Bathrooms and shower stalls need a good cleaning. I'm not sure if they had been cleaned prior to our weekend stay. Other than that it was a nice stay.

You need refrigerators in cabins since there's power. Also , I know it gets cold there at night, but you still need coolers or at least fans. All other koa have these.

This is the most run down KOA I have ever seen. The screen on the cabin door ripped. Cabin was dirty . Toilet didn't flush handle broken, hand dryer broken , dog run 2 ft high grass. Falling apart tile in bathroom. This is NOT what we expect from KOA !! Will never stay here again

There have been many upgrades. So many fun things for kids to do, fishing, a park, basketball, pickle ball and a pool. The service was amazing!
