The hosts were friendly. The grounds need a lot of work. It was taken over by a lot of weeds. Our spot started out level, but where our truck was, very sloped. We came from the east and there was no sign until the KOA driveway. Sudden turning doesn't work too well with larger rigs.

Campground was not well kept and was overgrown and rundown. The host was very nice and helpful.

It was pieceful quiet kind. Of centrally located to go exploring other places of interest we would probably go back and stay there again!

We had a group of 20 rigs travelling together. Montpelier KOA did a great job of hosting us and taking care of our needs.

Jim was great and helped me get an extension cord and was kind to my puppy. The team was amazing when I had to depart early due to a wildfire threatening my home. Location is a good area with many access points.

Very peaceful the creek was stunning but expected more grass they have a lot of dead grass & weeds & it’s not as taken care of as I would have expected it’s very crowded.

We stayed at the group camp, which had a circle of astro turf that made a nice place to collect gear, and some of the kids slept on it with their sleeping bags. We also enjoyed the pool and the animal cages.

It was a good stop after a long drive! Staff was friendly and bathrooms were clean, but actual campground could have been maintained slightly better. Pool super dirty, weeds and unmaintained playground.

The pool needs some work. There is a lot of debris in the pool. The camp host is the nicest. We'll be back again for sure.

We stayed for almost a week at this KOA. It gets busy on the weekends but it’s quiet during the weekday. The owners are absolutely lovely people and very accommodating. I asked if we could move to a full hookup site if it became available and they made it happen. It’s an older park and shows its age but it’s worth staying for the night sky where you can see the Milky Way from your campsite.

Stayed in big cabin 2 and water temp for the shower was very unstable. Grounds were a little less nicely kept compared to prior years. Over all no major complaints. Will be back next year.

Such nice people. But they can’t keep care of it. It’s in a nice area but for a KOA experience no way. We were gone the whole time. Completely over run with weeds, and bushes hardly see the gravel. Hardly navigate into sites with large rigs. Trees not pruned. Tables and fixtures old, dirt, trash cans and old pens with ducks and rabbits just outside the door. No amenities.

Great little camp ground. Staff super friendly. Grounds clean and the bathrooms as well. Had a great stay and will be back.

Such a relaxing, family friendly campground. I love it. It’s well kept and the camp hosts are so friendly. Will definitely be back next year.

Hosts are so nice. We were able to wash our RV there. Loved the cool temps at night. Veterans discount. Highly recommend.

I had stayed at rhis KOA on two previous occasions. The maintenance, groundskeeping and cleanliness has certainly fallen off. Example: bought a bag of ice-the host seemingly proudly proclaims that the ice is outside because the inside freezer quit working on the Fourth of July-TWO YEARS AGO! Great location. Stayed in a cabin facing the creek but the vegetation was so over grown couldn't see it.

It is a Journey level campground. Hosts very nice. It was amazing in its heyday. Site was level, wifi weak because the line from town is poor. Pool is marginal. Nice nature trail around it with fast flowing streams and waterfalls. Pretty quiet.

The pictures on the website do not depict the campground correctly. It's very run down. I paid for two deluxe campsites that combined should have been one site. There was no green grass and the k store was sparsely packed. I had the opportunity to observe cleaning time of kabins and was disappointed. The pool was dirty with campers mostly doing any cleaning.

Nice little campground nestled in the valley outside of Montpelier Idaho. Owners were very friendly and easy going.

The campground was great. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The only reason we did not give it 5 stars is that the entrance off the highway could be damaging to your rig and contents. There were deep holes that rocked the rig getting into the park. A very very slow approach/departure is recommended.

The creek side campsite beautiful. Only problem, useless wifi, like many KOA’s. You need to upgrade your networks!!

We camped at a site along the creek. It was really pleasant to hear the creek going by. All facilities were very clean. Would definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed here 3 years in a row for a week long trip to spend our days at Bear Lake. We rent the cabin with a bathroom and a cabin without. I take my kids and grandkids. The cabin with no bathroom is so peaceful right next to the creek!! The bathroom and showers are very clean! Our other cabin had lots of space for us to eat together and play games. The covered porch is the BEST part!

First I will say that the people are very friendly and there are lots of things for kids to do. But that being said, this park looks like it hasn't had any upkeep in years. The trees are to close to get slides and awning out. The pics on the koa site must be from when they opened the campground. Very overgrown everywhere with weeds. Need gravel on driveway and sites. Not convenient for Class A

Disappointing quality, extremely pricey for the kind of park it is. Price should be no more than $40 per night.

Photos are deceiving. You can barely see the bridge pictures because of plants. The “Nature trail” is super over grown, there are weeds all over the property. It’s just a very rundown camp ground. It’s fine for stopping for a night but not a whole trip. I was quite disappointed. Definitely try for lava hot springs or bear lake KOAs.

We stayed in a cabin next to the creek. The water sound was wonderful. Restroom and showers very clean. Very helpful owner and staff.

We had a premier spot next to the river. Well worth not having a sewer connection for that location. Friendly staff. We will stay here again if in the area. There are spots I would not care for, but most are shaded and nice. Overall a nice place. Did not visit the rest rooms so do not have information on those facilities.

Small campground out of town. Clean, and they had just been packed for the weekend. Staff very nice at check-in. Everything in working order. Next time I would stay longer than one night.

Loved staying here. It was tucked away yet a beautiful area. I liked the fun amenities around camp. Simple and quick check in and friendly staff. Would stay there again.

This is by FAR the nicest KOA we've ever stayed at. Spotlessly clean. Super friendly staff. Lovely spaces with room to move, picnic tables, trees and grass. Super quiet. We feel like we stumbled upon a treasure here.

There may be a nicer KOA out there but we've never found it! This KOA is absolutely perfect and made us regret having to leave. It also makes us wish to return. The sites, the bathroom/showers, the nature trail, the staff - it is simply perfect. In addition, the town of Montpelier is full of nice people and has the Oregon/California Trai site to view and it's wonderful

We came here one week after they opened for the season and had the whole place to ourselves ! Super nice couple that seems to tend to the place and they do a great job everything was very clean and looked like bathrooms mind be renovated. Was able to do a load of laundry while sitting around the fire with a beer :) Had cute little shop to get things if you forgot anything . There is some vicious mosquitoes by the water so bring that bug spray and you'll be good to go .
