Monroe Co. KOA Begins Phase 1 of Campground Improvement Plan

The Monroe County / Toledo North KOA is pleased to announce the groundbreaking for Phase 1 of our planned campground improvements, which began this fall. This initial phase includes significant progress on exciting aquatic projects.

The dirt work for Phase 1 is underway and the plans include two new pools. Pool 1 will be a zero-entry to 3-foot swimming pool, providing accessibility and fun for guests of all ages. Pool 2 will feature a 3- to 5-foot depth range. The nearby pump house will serve a dual purpose, including showers, bathrooms and a retail space offering boat and bike rentals. Plans for a splash pad located between the two pools are still being finalized, and additional amenities are in the works.

Justin Cutler, Vice President of Recreational Adventures Co. (RAC), shared his excitement. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to kick off Phase 1 of these improvements. Seeing the progress of our pool project is a huge milestone for us, and it’s just the beginning of what’s to come. With new pool areas and exciting new amenities all happening, we know our guests will absolutely love the transformation. While we’re still early in the process and can’t give a firm completion date just yet, we’re working hard to bring these upgrades to life as soon as possible. We can’t wait for our campers to experience it all!”

Reservations for the 2025 season will open on November 1, offering guests the opportunity to experience these exciting new amenities for themselves in the near future.
