Nice lot. Ample grass area behind our spot for our fav. Nice staff and bath house. Lots of activities for kids and nice and quiet for adults.

The trip in from 81 is a little twisty, but we did it in a 30 ft motor home with a tow vehicle. Just take your time. We left by going into Lynchburg and getting on 29, much better! The trail needs some marking, but I enjoyed it and so did the dog.

This is by far our favorite campground. It’s always quiet and relaxing. There also plenty to do in the area. Hiking in the Blue Ridge Parkway, Natural Bridge, Natural Bridge Caverns, Woodruff’s Pie’s, downtown Lynchburg, orchards and so much more. This is a must stop destination.

Nice park. A bit tight in areas, slow and careful. Few tress need trimming. Water pressure is a bit low 40 psi. Overall a nice stay and very peaceful. Staff are professional and very nice.

Friendly office. Very accommodating getting us in when we were running from the storm in the Atlantic. Lots of gravel…a handful of concrete patios.

Pretty far out but great for nature lovers. The campground is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The staff was top notch.

Beautiful site. Lots of trees make it peaceful. Leaves were starting to turn fall colors. We will come back when we are in the area again.

We stayed at this KOA in Monroe county to attend a wedding. During our stay friends stopped by to pick us up, they visited about an hour and we headed to the wedding, we were charged $20($5 per person) and told no visitors were allowed after 9pm. We returned about 1130pm to be dropped off and the camp host made a point of walking by to ensure no one stayed. We are quite campers, we will not return

This campground is clean with the sites being very spacious. Hubby even went fishing at the campground pond and caught a fish. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will come back for sure!

Stopped for a 2 night stay and ended up leaving after the 1st.. No grass near the Rv sites, no one available after 6pm to get firewood from so thankfully our neighbor sold us a bundle of their wood. The gem mine wasn’t up & running and the jump pad was deflated and locked up. The shop was very small. The bathrooms were clean though which was a plus!

Immaculate campground with conveniently placed bathrooms/showers. Beautiful location near James River and Blue Ridge Parkway. Lovely staff! Would definitely stay here again.

Just campsite area has a lot of potential. Beautiful area nice trees all through the campground The only thing they should improve on is a water runoff running across campsites destroying roads and landscape areas.

Lovely setting, rock on both roads and campsites made the layout a little challenging. We were unable to level in our originally assigned site, the camp worker tried for half an hour to make it work. Eventually they gave us another site - wish they had done that earlier. Long day. The bathrooms were clean

Had a great weekend. Campground is great. Tony helped us get parked and stopped by several times to see if we needed anything. Really enjoyed getting to know him. He even helped us prank our daughter. Def recommend this campground.

The sites were huge and level! Wooded campgrounds and beautiful. The workers were friendly. I would stay again when in the area.

This is a very nice KOA Campground! All of the sites offer plenty of room with ample space. The owners are fantastic! The playground is awesome for the kids and the dog park is a nice plus for your furry friends! The location couldn't be any better. Only a 5 minute drive to the parkway and a 30 minute drive to the university. We will definitely be back.

Very well-kept campground. Bathrooms/showers were clean and well furnished. The campground itself was very well manicured and has been maintained perfectly. The WIFI was pretty good too. Definitely will be staying here again. Update 05/07/2026 Another great stay at this KOA the past seven days. It was exactly as it was the last time I stayed here. The campground is always in great condition, the campsites roomy and the staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. My wife and I were able to hike quite a few miles on the Appalachian Trail as there are several trailheads close by. Glad I stayed here again and look forward to staying there in the future.
