This is a great place to stay. Lots to do in any direction. Woodruff’s pies and lunch, Natural Bridge, Blueridge Parkway, hiking, fishing, downtown Lynchburg and the list goes on. Or just sit back and relax in your quiet site. Play games up by the office. Oh and don’t forget the caverns in Virginia.

The KOA is conveniently located close to the Blue Ridge Pkwy. Beautiful setting with lots of amenities. The staff are helpful and delightful. We can’t wait to come back!

Good stay, campsites are a little tricky to pull into due to angle of roads. Folks running campground are nice and are very friendly. Bathrooms are good.

FIrst time at staying at this KOA and we loved it!! It was close to home. The hosts were so nice and friendly. The grounds were clean. The bathhouses although were dated were clean. Just wish they had a little heat in them. We will be back!!

Everything was excellent. Only thing not on KOA control was the blue ridge parkway being closed in both directions. We did see Natural Bridge, and Thomas Jefferson’s Popular retreat and eat in Lynchburg downtown river front twice. Highly recommend the ice cream shop MayLynn’s Creamery and The Depot Grille and The Water Dog.

What a wonderful KOA. The grounds are perfect. The playground is wonderful and surrounded by grass. The bathrooms are super clean and great hot water showers. I wish all koas were kept as nice as Lynchburg. What a perfect campground. Thank you.

The roads into the campground from I 81 are very narrow and curvy and that should be infasised so you can decide if you want to deal with that. The hosts Sara and Tony were great and the campground was nice. It really was not very convenient to get to.

We are sorry you were disappointed with our location. Route 130 is the tractor trailer route to cross the Blue Ridge Mountains and hosts various traffic including large rigs.

We had a very warm welcome from our hosts who sorted us out on our pitch - nothing was too much trouble. We only stayed one night but all the facilities that we used were good!

We stay here often as a landing spot for first and last nights of multi-week road trips since its 2 hrs from home and we stay here as homebase while visiting daughter at Liberty U. Great staff / well maintained / did i mention great staff ?? how many campground have you stayed at where you can remember the name of staff members?? love this place!!!

We had a hard time leveling out rig, but that may be our newbie problem and not actually a problem with the site. Bathrooms were clean and accessible. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Some of the spaces are a bit tight, but they do preserve the shade of trees in most parts. Tradeoff.....

This is the second time we have stayed here. Absolutely love it. We e had to extend our stay for one more day and the staff member was able to find a vacancy, even though we had to relocate our RV. Much appreciated!

Just stayed one day, but the place was very clean and quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Will definitely be there again next time we are in that area.

This is a very nice KOA Campground! All of the sites offer plenty of room with ample space. The owners are fantastic! The playground is awesome for the kids and the dog park is a nice plus for your furry friends! The location couldn't be any better. Only a 5 minute drive to the parkway and a 30 minute drive to the university. We will definitely be back.

Very well-kept campground. Bathrooms/showers were clean and well furnished. The campground itself was very well manicured and has been maintained perfectly. The WIFI was pretty good too. Definitely will be staying here again. Update 05/07/2026 Another great stay at this KOA the past seven days. It was exactly as it was the last time I stayed here. The campground is always in great condition, the campsites roomy and the staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. My wife and I were able to hike quite a few miles on the Appalachian Trail as there are several trailheads close by. Glad I stayed here again and look forward to staying there in the future.
