This is the most well maintained, nicest campground that I have stayed at. And I've stayed at many KOA's acrossed eastern US over the years. The owners care about their campground and it shows. Our cabin was clean! The grounds were well maintained. The staff was friendly. I would highly recommend this campground.

We stayed Wednesday-Sunday what a great campground the couple that runs it were so nice and helpful, alerted us that a bad storm was coming ! Bathrooms were very clean and the grounds were very clean and well cared for!

Great location, easy access to points of interest. Great staff and service. Nicely wooded and shaded. Could use a little bit more water pressure on the upper backend RV sites

Lovely campground. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was very clean and just what we needed. The porch and patio set up were great for entertaining and the swing was a great bonus. All around great time!

We arrived an hour before check-in, and we were greeted enthusiastically and immediately felt welcome! The campground is gorgeous, well-maintained, and all sites appeared to be shaded. We appreciated the quietness and structure. We're looking for another reason to return to the area so that we can stay here again. (Next time, I'm bringing my fishing pole to relax by the pond.)

Campground is in a very beautiful spot. It is obvious that it is an older facility, and some of the areas could be updated. However, the staff keeps everything clean and is extremely helpful.

If you are looking for privacy, it is not the campground as the sites are on top of each other. However, the campground was wonderful, clean, great space for dogs and family. We enjoyed our stay!

We stay at Lynchburg KOA several times a year with our 8- and 15-year-old sons. They love the fun amenities! The bathhouses are clean and modern, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. It's close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and just 10 miles from Walmart. The friendly staff works hard to make every stay great. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location and lovely tent site in the heart of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Great access to the AT and James River. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool, site, and restrooms were all clean and very well maintained. One of the nicest KOA grounds I have visited and I’ll definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our family had an excellent stay! We rented a cabin, and it was extremely clean. All of the facilities were nice, clean, and well taken care of. There were great activities for the kids over the weekend. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!

We extended our stay at the last minuet for an additional day and the staff was more than helpful to make the arrangements. We were there for my Daughters graduation from Sweet Briar College and we had a great time and a pleasant stay.

Beautiful campground with nice and roomy and RV sites that were well-shaded. The campground was very neat, clean and well-groomed. The bathrooms were very clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located to quite a few hiking trails including the Appalachian Trail. This was my second stay here and I will definitely be staying here again.

Great site, friendly and helpful staff. Wifi connection to the internet was hit or miss, mostly did not work. Couple that with no cell data service (t-mobile) and we were unable to consistently get email or browse.

This is a very nice KOA Campground! All of the sites offer plenty of room with ample space. The owners are fantastic! The playground is awesome for the kids and the dog park is a nice plus for your furry friends! The location couldn't be any better. Only a 5 minute drive to the parkway and a 30 minute drive to the university. We will definitely be back.

Very well-kept campground. Bathrooms/showers were clean and well furnished. The campground itself was very well manicured and has been maintained perfectly. The WIFI was pretty good too. Definitely will be staying here again. Update 05/07/2026 Another great stay at this KOA the past seven days. It was exactly as it was the last time I stayed here. The campground is always in great condition, the campsites roomy and the staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. My wife and I were able to hike quite a few miles on the Appalachian Trail as there are several trailheads close by. Glad I stayed here again and look forward to staying there in the future.
