We took our five-year-old granddaughter to this KOA for a couple nights. It was very convenient to the Virginia Safari Park. We really liked this KOA as it had a fishing pond and a jumping pad for our granddaughter to play on, along with a playground. Personnel were super friendly! Nice park!

Overall good and the hosts were great. Campground is really dark at night and internet is iffy. Dog park area is big which was awesome. We would stay again.

Stayed in DC2 with 2 small dogs and our son. Loved the privacy and the size of the cabin. Perfect for our family.

We arrived at night and were welcomed by the chorus of toads and frogs. We were pleasantly surprised to see how lovely the campground looked during sunrise. Even though it was raining, it was a very comfortable stay, thank you!!

Was Great!!! The personal were fantastic, helpful and made you feel welcomed. The campground were tidy and the shower/restrooms were very clean. Will be back.

A quick visit in a cabin. Everything was neat and clean. Staff recommended a nice Mexican restaurant in town.

The staff were very friendly. It was nice they were open in March so we could travel the Blue Ridge parkway in the way home to Ontario Canada .The campground is well maintained.

We had an absolute great time here. There were some things for the kids to do as well as the adults. Very nice family friendly establishment. We will be back!

So this was our first camping trip. The campgrounds was very clean. All gravel well taken care of. Tony and Sarah were some great people to deal with. They explained some of the activities in the area. I bought firewood at the camp store. It was insisted that they deliver it to the site. Tony had it on site before I got back. Can’t say enough about their hospitality. We’ll be going back.

Everything was great! We were so glad that they were open in March. Nothing was crowded in the area, which made for a quiet and relaxing experience. Everyone at the campground was very friendly and helpful.

Tony and his wife were amazing. Tony even delivered the bundles of wood we purchased directly to our site. We stayed the first 3 nights they opened so the campground was not very busy, but the time was extremely relaxing. We would truly recommend and will be back.

We stayed the weekend at this location and enjoyed our stay! We were not sure how the temperature was going to affect our time in the cabin because it was going to be below 30’s but the heater in the cabin worked amazing and we did not feel the temperature drop at all! Highly recommend KOA!!

The sites were huge and level! Wooded campgrounds and beautiful. The workers were friendly. I would stay again when in the area.

This is a very nice KOA Campground! All of the sites offer plenty of room with ample space. The owners are fantastic! The playground is awesome for the kids and the dog park is a nice plus for your furry friends! The location couldn't be any better. Only a 5 minute drive to the parkway and a 30 minute drive to the university. We will definitely be back.

Very well-kept campground. Bathrooms/showers were clean and well furnished. The campground itself was very well manicured and has been maintained perfectly. The WIFI was pretty good too. Definitely will be staying here again. Update 05/07/2026 Another great stay at this KOA the past seven days. It was exactly as it was the last time I stayed here. The campground is always in great condition, the campsites roomy and the staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. My wife and I were able to hike quite a few miles on the Appalachian Trail as there are several trailheads close by. Glad I stayed here again and look forward to staying there in the future.
