Beautiful setting and very friendly and helpful staff. Although the pad is gravel, it was totally flat and seemingly compacted by a steamroller. No small stones to track into the unit. The patio was one of the best we’ve ever had, and there are trees everywhere.

Off the beaten path. Full but did not feel too busy. Plenty of activities to do at the campground. Fishing was good. Staff were great. Just a great overall family getaway.

Loved our beautiful campsite! We appreciated that you recycle - many campgrounds do not. We didn't appreciate that we had to pay for our two guests for four days when they only stayed with us for two of our four days. I questioned the overcharge, but was told that often people understate the length of time they will have guests. :( We will be checking on that policy with KOA corporate.

Owners were very accommodating. We arrived just as they were closing for the day, they opened back up and took care of us and got us settled in our campsites

Great park. Chose it at random wanting to get close to the Blue Ridge Parkway not realizing it was one mile from the entrance, Staff were helpful and accommodating.

We were traveling and only needed to stay for one night and this campground was perfect... The staff was friendly and professional. The campground was very nice with roomy camp sites and very clean restrooms. Although we didn't use the pool because the temperature had cooled off, we always appreciate it when a pool is available. We will very likely return.

It was a nice place. Peaceful and beautiful surroundings. It was clean and my family and I enjoyed being near Lynchburg and Lexington.

The cabin was cute but while I understand that linens were not included but I expected a blanket at least. Also very little toilet paper, no glasses, and the hot water quits during a shower. Honestly as nice as this little park is, I would not stay in a cabin again.

This was our second stay at this KOA, the friendly staff greeted us by name upon arrival, (Tony) noticing we had kayaks with us asked if we needed any local information on where to go and of course we said yes. He gathered local information and returned to our campsite after giving us time to settle and gave us a couple great spots to go. Only complaint was weak internet if trying to work remotely

We had the best time and it’s such a beautiful campground. The private bath facilities were a nice surprise and kept very clean. The kids and grand kids loved the gem mine and fishing. We will definitely be coming back!

Great. Our dog ran off. And a man on golf cart brought 2 daughters who finally caught the dog back to our RV. He also gave ride to daughter when she had toddler and swim gear. He went out of his way.

Friendly staff, TOM WAS AWESOME!!! The campground is clean and quiet. There are several things to do and the location is great. The layout of sites is a little odd for some sites, but overall, great place!

This is a very nice small campground but our site B23 was not very level. After spending a good amount of time leveling, we found that the electric box was dead. Staff made a good effort to fix it but ultimately had to move us to another site and suggested stopping by the office the next day and they would “make it right “. We did that but nobody there had authority and they never got back wit

It was a nice campground. People were friendly that worked there. I just wish the rates was just lil bit cheaper so I could go more often..lol.. Being on a fixed income is so hard to enjoy something you love doing.

Nice campground. Super friendly staff. Front Bath houses have AC and are always clean. Everything was good. Used pool most of the time. Not crowded and clean pool. Only thing is it’s hard to sit out as there are ants all over the chairs. I asked about spraying, but nothing was done.

It was a quick overnight stay. Office personell were very helpful and friendly and the campground was well maintained.

The sites were huge and level! Wooded campgrounds and beautiful. The workers were friendly. I would stay again when in the area.

This is a very nice KOA Campground! All of the sites offer plenty of room with ample space. The owners are fantastic! The playground is awesome for the kids and the dog park is a nice plus for your furry friends! The location couldn't be any better. Only a 5 minute drive to the parkway and a 30 minute drive to the university. We will definitely be back.

Very well-kept campground. Bathrooms/showers were clean and well furnished. The campground itself was very well manicured and has been maintained perfectly. The WIFI was pretty good too. Definitely will be staying here again. Update 05/07/2026 Another great stay at this KOA the past seven days. It was exactly as it was the last time I stayed here. The campground is always in great condition, the campsites roomy and the staff was courteous, friendly and very helpful. My wife and I were able to hike quite a few miles on the Appalachian Trail as there are several trailheads close by. Glad I stayed here again and look forward to staying there in the future.
